Here is a 3D modeled interior design of a ramen shop. Everything you see was done through Autodesk Maya and Substance Painter. When creating this model, it was my goal to make it look like it was placed within a tight alleyway by making it small and compact. I wanted to go for a more stylized video game look to make it believable in a game setting.
Lighting Renders Lighting Renders
A pair of geta sandals, a stone lantern and an art scroll were the test subjects to my lighting simulation. The goal of this project was to mimic light setups and to create three appealing and unique looks. This project was my first use of Substance Painter and I am quite happy with the results, especially since I have not touched Substance beforehand.
I had to make revisions to the sandal since the fabric’s UV map was not lining up correctly, same with the stone lantern and its top piece. However, once I got those to work, I went ahead and improved the textures on top of that to prevent it from looking like a pre-set texture.
Surreal Ad Surreal Ad
This is an advertisement piece I made for my design history class for the early modern era subject. This was meant to resemble Salvador Dalí and his surrealist paintings of an empty void of random and dream-like objects.
This ad specifically aims to ward off people from getting sucked into their phones and being locked into the screen of mind melting media. The cord turning into a snake is a reference to Adam and Eve from the Bible, implying that the cord must not be tolerated or listened to. The hands are reaching out to save the eye, which is the user, from becoming stuck in place by the snake.

This is a model of a small temple scene that really pushes the idea of flat and stylized graphics aimed for video games. I wanted to keep it simple and focus of the colors so that it catches the eye. I also aimed towards making more clean and understandable UV maps to make the process easier for coloring.

Here I have a model of the classic chatter telephone most people had as a kid. This model was meant to focus on making something that looked like the material it was made of, here it is plastic and shiny. The textures here, unlike the previous projects, were done in photoshop and tested my skills in cooperating with the UV maps and the layouts I made for it.

This assignment combines my skills of 3D modeling, mockups and digital painting. While creating this project, I wanted to combine all of my skills together to be able to better appreciate each step of creating a product.
This project was inspired by the art nouveau history of dreamy looks and curtain like hair with the combination of its country of origin, France and their love for wine.

Ps Ae
Chef Epice is a story about a little chef who gets into some heated trouble with his spices. This animatic I made has a funny tone and cartoon like exaggeration throughout. Both the animatic and short film was made for this story along with color keys, turnarounds and two storyboards. The character models were done in Illustrator while the background was all done in Maya and all animated in After Effects along with sound effects.
