About Me

Hello all, my name is KyLee Morgado and I am looking forward to sharing my work with you! For a little background, I grew up in North-Eastern Wyoming in a town named Gillette. I graduated in 2020 from Thunder Basin High School and then continued my education at Northern Wyoming Community College District, where I graduated with my associate in Applied Sciences. With dreams of becoming a graphic designer, I moved 1,000 miles away to Phoenix, Arizona to enroll in the Graphic Design and Advertising Program at Grand Canyon University. After two years of being a student at GCU, I finally graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in the spring of 2024. Some of my hobbies include playing guitar and singing, fishing with my family, and spending time with my friends. I am hopeful for the future and excited to see where this chapter in my life takes me. Enjoy!

Deadwood Outlaw Poker Tournament is an annual event that takes place at Tin Lizzie Resort and Casino in Deadwood, South Dakota. This event is where the best poker players in the mid-west region can enter to win big. Each participant will receive a bag filled with a T-shirt, a Flask, and a Coaster pack. I was provided with the sponsor logo of the Tin Lizzie gaming resort and was asked to rebrand the event. I provided them with a new logo pack that includes a primary logo, secondary logos, branded assets, color codes, and designs for the branded giveaway items for the participants.

Iris is a luxury sunglasses company in Scottsdale, Arizona. They are trying to drive sales the sales on their product and the marketing team established that an out-door print ad campaign would be the best way to do so. I was provided with professional photography and asked to come up with all the copy and designs for the ads.

The Christian Relief Fund is a non-profit organization that specializes in providing clean water supporting children in African communities. They needed an icon set designed for their branding and then applied to their website. I created an icon set of ten icons using Adobe Illustrator and designed a landing page that uses the icons I have created.

Turon Bank Stationary Design

Turon Bank in Kansas has recently gone through a logo redesign. They need all new updated collateral that matches their new logo and color scheme. This includes business cards, letterhead, an annual report, business brochures, print ads, and billboard advertisements. I was provided with their logo, photography, color codes, and copy.

The Rolling Stone website was looking for a new layout design for their website. The current website was overwhelming for users and needed to be simplified. I created a new sample website that included a home page, category page, article page, sign-up page, and preference page. I was provided with the articles and images.

Creative Collections Magazine

Creative Collections is a magazine that provides inspiration, news, and history about all art forms. They release a new edition of their magazine every quarter. Each magazine released focuses on a specific art form. The magazine I worked on was the ceramics edition. Working alongside a creative team, we were asked to write all of the original copy, choose appropriate font pairings, and lay out the pages in an easy-to-read layout. Our team was provided with professional photography and advertisements that must be placed strategically within the magazine.
