The Poppin’ Burger animated advertisement started as an idea created on an empty stomach. The plan was to craft a silly gimmick for a fictional fast-food burger
restaurant and transform it into something even more friendly and fun. The vector assets were all created in Adobe Illustrator and animated in After Effects.
The Poppin’ Burger campaign needed to have a menu. To better captivate my audience, 3D & 2D had to be used at the same time to create an eye-catching interactive menu design.
The Kiosk menu was created with both 3D models and 2D assets. The models were created in AutoDesk MAYA and animated using Blender, while 2D vectors were made in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After
Effects. The models were created with a low polygon count and designed with a simple, colorful design. This was to stay consistent with the friendly branding Poppin’ Burger has in the advertisement animation.
“The Pegasus” is a narrative short film created in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After Effects. Using programs generally designed for Motion graphics and vector creation makes for an excellent option for cheaper
and faster animation compared to traditional animation tools or programs. This film comprises 34 uniquely used shots to convey an entertaining piece and built together in a short amount of time.
Each shot was uniquely created with its own assets and animations, creating a more refreshing and captivating visual experience for the audience. SHOT-BY-SHOT
This is a “Saul Bass tribute,” a title sequence animation for a theoretical TV show or film. My tribute, “ONE LAST LEAD,” showcases the power of seamless visual transitions and implied symbolical storytelling. It is designed to keep the audience interested in the substance while understanding the underlying message conveyed in the graphics. That is the goal of motion graphics media and how Legendary motion designer Saul Bass became so famed today among animators.
3D programs such as AutoDesk MAYA, Blender, and Adobe Substance Painter were used to create the 3D models shown.
Realistic features are textured to convince the viewer that the model is real such as the Composite model below.

“Fired” is an emotionally driven short narrative about a stressed nine-to-five office life. With the inclusion of a visual treatment and style, the animation appears to be more real, visually memorable, and
unique compared to other animation films. In order to lean into the story’s dramatic appeal, real-world videography techniques such as camera movement, angles, shot transitions, and audio cues were contributed.
The visual style comprised choppy animation, bold character colors, roughened edges, and high contrast of facial features. This was to create an animation film closer to real 2D animation than to motion graphics.
Just like the Pegasus Narrative short, each shot was uniquely made with specific animation in mind. Creating more captivating and refreshing visuals for the viewer.
