My name is Chloe Krause and I’m graduating from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising as well as a minor in Marketing. I have always been passionate about the world of art and I enjoy using the nature and people around me as an inspiration for my designs. My favorite part of designing being able to turn a concept into a creation. I find joy in the process and satisfaction in bringing the final design to life. I am excited to enter into the world of design and see where it will take me.
Baccello Di Vaniglia
Baccello Di Vaniglia is a concept for an Italian Gelato brand. Known for authenticity and originality, the challenge was to design a distinct and clean brand for the company. I chose to focus on simplicity while designing to hone in on what the brand offers.
Assets
The packaging design and menu creation were developed to look timeless, like the taste of the gelato. The stamp packaging is a reference to the distinguished castles and architecture in Italy. I also chose a script typeface to express a tone of luxury to reflect the quality of the gelato.
SELF Website Redesign
SELF is a well established life style magazine and website. To improve the user experience and organization of the website, I redesigned various pages to demonstrate the functionality of a new layout. This new design allows readers to easily find the articles they want to read without wasting any time.
Film Festival Campaign
The goal of this campaign was to promote the 2021 Grand Canyon University Film Festival, specifically the music category. With this goal in mind, I designed a promotional poster for Superficial, the winning music video, as well as tickets and passes to attend. The illustration was inspired from a clip in the video and the purple overlays are to keep the advertising on brand with GCU.
The poster was a group effort

Assets
To further expand the reach of the campaign, I designed a billboard to advertise around the city of Phoenix as well as stickers to pass out as leave behinds. These channels will allow Grand Canyon University to reach a larger audience to promote the film festival and will increase the reach of the students’ work.
Lopes Active Apparel Co. & Nike
Lopes Active Apparel Co. and Nike are specific brands that required research and persona development to create a landing page targeted at the correct segment of the market. The landing page is designed towards the two persona’s regarding an upcoming sale.
Persona Development
My persona development process includes conducting ample research regarding the brand and the top target markets and focusing on their likes and dislikes.
Nohmad Chocolate Company
Anyone can eat Nohmad Chocolate, and that is what inspired my design of characters of every shape and size. These cartoon like illustrations are paired with extra processes to make this chocolate bar catch the eye of every customer walking past the chocolate aisle.
FZZL x Cool Earth Campaign
FZZL is a new sparkling water brand with unique flavors and an even better story. FZZL gives a portion of profits to raise money to fight climate change. I took this opportunity to develop a simple logo and packaging design that emphasizes the quality inside the can and the message behind the fizzle.
The Strategy
What does carbonated water and the earth have in common? You want to keep both chilled. This campaign is a partnership between FZZL, a sparkling water brand I developed, and Cool Earth, a charity that exists to raise funds to fight climate change. Fighting climate change is relevant to FZZL because a cool earth is crucial to maintaining growing seasons to affordably grow crops to produce FZZL’s product.
The Bend Coffee Shop
As a barista and coffee fan, I had to take the opportunity to design an architectural based coffee shop brand. This coffee cafe is based in Oregon and includes illustrations based on buildings found throughout Salem, Oregon. The colors are light and earthy, reflective of the sky and ground to convey the outdoorsy tone of the Pacific Northwest.
Voyce Threads Look Book
Truth be told, I’m obsessed with layout design. When the opportunity arose to design a look book for Voyce Threads, I jumped on the chance. I used master pages to create a coherent and consistent layout that balanced the use of white space with the informative blocks of texts and photography.
Voyce Threads x Osborn School District
Osborn School District partnered with Voyce Threads to have a shirt designed. The aim was to create an out of the box design that illustrated the importance of teachers. This goal prompted me to use reflected words and repetition to give the statement contrast and power behind the message.
Voyce Threads Social Media
Nothing is more satisfying to look at than a coherent social media page. I focused on the distinctive red of the brand and the meaning behind the socks to craft a social media strategy. The posts focus on sustainability, uniqueness, and style.
Voyce Threads Email Campaign
The intrigue of an email with a strong headline is enough to grab my attention. I focused on my copy writing skills to craft a series of four emails to inspire past customers to buy again.
Nikon Print and Social AdsCopywriting
A good design without strong copy writing will ultimately fail. I took this project with Nikon to experiment with various copywriting strategies including humorous, informative, and inspirational strategies. I backed the copywriting with various photos I took for the campaign.
