YK MISE is a clothing brand that sells high quality clothing with a mix of both streetwear and lounge wear. Incorporating Asian American styles to encapsulate the creators Asian American upbringing. Although YK MISE sells clothing, they are a hub for anyone who shares an elegant taste for pop-culture. YK MISE speaks in a language that is both confident and relatable, reflecting the intersection of tradition and contemporary cool. The brand’s tone is approachable and authentic, inviting customers to join a community that appreciates cultural richness. Communication is witty, clever, and culturally aware, appealing to a broad audience while staying true to the roots of Asian American heritage. YK MISE communicates not just through fashion but as a cultural conversation, elevating the brand beyond mere clothing to a celebration of identity and style.

YK MISE is a clothing brand that sells high quality clothing with a mix of both streetwear and lounge wear. Incorporating Asian American styles to encapsulate the creators Asian American upbringing. Although YK MISE sells clothing, they are a hub for anyone who shares an elegant taste for popculture. YKMISE is an Asian American clothing brand that focuses on Asian inspired clothes, including a mixture of loungewear and streetwear. The ‘Y’ stands for Yuuta, while the ‘K’ stands for Kai. These are the owners’ middle names who are half Japanese. Mise, pronounced me-seh, means shop in Japanese. Together these two have built a community full of Asian Americans to share their love of clothing and fashion. YK MAGAZINE (YKM) builds off the brand YK MISE. Instead of solely focusing on YK MISE, YK MAGAZINE highlights today’s hottest Japanese streetwear brand in an aesthetic manner.

Objective: Create a cover for the album “A Breath of Fresh Air” by The Grand Collective.
The Grand Collective, comprised of Grand Canyon University students, breathes life into worship music within the GCU community. Approximately 40 students, faculty members, and alumni collaborate in songwriting and production. To date, they have launched three studio albums, each featuring an average of five songs. The cover must be aesthetically appealing, consistent with Christian branding and values, and effectively meet the desires of the GCU community.

Objective: Create cover art for the song “Last Night” by Jae Fontane.
Jae Fontane is a Korean-American artist from Minnesota. After moving to the United States he quickly fell in love with music and started his career as a sophomore in high school. He uses his emotional melodies and stories to engage his listeners, really letting them into his own world. Whether it’s heartbreak, falling in love, grieving, or celebrating he focuses on self-reflection and mindfulness in his music. Now at the age of 20, he is paving the way for himself and his community as he continues to grow as an artist. The song “Last Night” is reminincing about an argument with a loved one the previous night and looking forward to making it up the next morning.

Objective: Produce a dynamic design to attract attention to KOHI’s food truck.
Coffee in Japanese is pronounced: Kōhī (Kō-hee). Japanese coffee culture blends tradition with the third wave movement. Kissaten, traditional coffee shops, offer a nostalgic ambiance, while modern establishments focus on precision brewing and diverse methods. Attention to design, dessert pairing, and unique vending machines characterize Japan’s rich coffee scene. Kōhī’s unique coffee beans come from Okinawa which is a tropical prefecture of Japan.
The brand exudes a sophisticated and modern yet authentic image. It embraces a sleek aesthetic that reflects urban chic, combined with subtle nods to traditional Japanese design elements.
