PERSONAL PROJECTS

One of my favorite things to do in my down time is explore Photoshop and all of it’s abilities. These graphics were a way for me to practice my Photoshop and photo compositing skills while designing for some of my favorite players to watch in baseball.

OUR VISION

The Emerson Theater Collaborative is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve youth, under-represented communities and artists with an emphasis on diversity, by producing innovative and thought-provoking theater both in southeastern Connecticut and Sedona, Arizona.

OUR GOALS

LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT

The Emerson Theater Collaborative (ETC) thrived in 2021, in spite of two years of pandemic condition. As we come into our fourteenth year, we continue to provide access and opportunity for all people to enjoy theater in our communities. Our theater productions continue to change lives and increase social awareness of issues of the day for our youth and adults alike. Our communities are stronger because people find meaning in the work we do, and we bring people together to have conversations about social issues, such as cultural differences, and racism.

Our goals include reaching youth through educational theatrical programming, supporting local communities by providing free admission to low-income families, and donating profits to humanitarian causes. Our vision is to developing and produce innovative theater with a focus on diversity, youth, and the under represented with both emerging and professional artists. Vivian’s Music 4 5 ANNUAL REPORT EMERSON THEATER COLLABORATIVE We have expanded our horizons since the pandemic. We kept working through it and finding ways to create in the amidst of the pandemic. We never lost hope and our faith was stronger because of it. Emerson Theater Collaborative – Sedona found new and exciting ways to bring theatre to both regions by utilizing virtual streaming, live or on-demand, of its programs from Sedona to Mystic. Our major programming of creating innovative and thought-provoking theater is solid, and our educational outreach continues to move forward with new collaborations within our community of Sedona. As we come out of the pandemic, we are hoping to continue to increase our visibility in Sedona, and ramp up again our Mystic productions and visibility in the region, as we have added new board members in the last year. In the Fall of 2022 Emerson Theater Collaborative Mystic will have its first production since the pandemic of 2020 and we look forward to bringing back professional theatre to the Mystic region. Emerson Theater Collaborative’s co-founder, Lisa Giordano continues to lead the Mystic branch of Emerson Theater Collaborative and we have added a few new board members to enhance our programming. Elijah Manning, and Kimolee Eryn come to table with great activist skills, and a theatre acumen that is second to none. Emerson Theater Collaborative received grant from DECD in 2021 for small programming in the Mystic area in the amount of $2,040. This will cover for a mini project in the fall of 2022 as we begin to re-open the Mystic region following the lights being dimmed for almost two years. Emerson Theater Collaborative in Sedona, AZ continued to collaborate across the disciplines of the arts to create unique programming. Karen Loomis of No Moss Brands helped with the creation of our new cultural series of events called the Sights, Sounds and Samplings of the African American Experience, and others are to follow. We have increased our visibility with new seating configurations inside of our theatrical space and have increase our ticketing as a result of the work in which we are doing. Grants received in 2021 from the City of Sedona, AZ Humanities, Department of Economic and Community Development in Connecticut help to push our season forward. Emergency funding helped to increase our visibility and programming. We are grateful for all of the support.

An illustration that was used for a birthday card to be given out to the Arizona Diamondbacks Advantage Members on their Birthdays. With the phrase “Hope your birthday is a Home Run!”, I thought it would be only fitting to include our first baseman, Christian Walker, who hit the most home runs out of all the Diamondbacks in the 2022 baseball season.
