A d e s i g n e r i s a l w a y s f i n d i n g t h e i n v i s i b l e co n n e c t i o n s b e t w e e n connected or unconnected things. The process of design always begins with some kind of connec tion, reac tion, idea or recollec tion of personal experience. As a designer we use our abilit y to find those invisible connec tions to synthesize and transform our personal experiences into collective collec tion, we make ever y thing in connec tion. A s a d e s i g n e r, I a l w a y s s e e t h i n g s f r o m d i f f e r e n t p e r s p e c t i v e s to find those connec tions. I believe that the beaut y of design is how we interpret great ideas and make them resonate with people. I Let my design speak on it own and communicate for me. T h e fe s t i v al sh owc as e d his m o s t i n t r i g u i n g f i l m s : St r a n g e r T h a n P a r a d i s e , D e a d M a n , D o w n B y L a w, M y s t e r y Tr a i n , C o f f e e & C i g a r e t t e s , a n d N i g h t On Ear th. These films all por tray the mundane lives of people who have lost their passion and become numb. Suddenly t h e y a r e t i r e d o f t h e i r o l d l i f e a n d n e e d t o s t a r t a n e w j o u r n e y, but it ser ves no purpose and ver y soon they repeat their old ways again. Jarmusch has been charac terized as a minimalist filmmaker whose idiosyncratic films are unhurried. I used black white and green as the main color s and used br ush te x ture as graphic elements for whole projects. The goal of this film fes ti v al is to dr aw Jim Jar mus ch fans in to t he scene to experience the films.

Create a campaign for a non-profit company with an event included. The company should represent an issue that we f e e l s t r o n g l y a b o u t . T h e p r o j e c t h a d t o b e t y p o g r a p hy b a s e d , including the logo, app, website, book and signage.

APPROACH /

I reb r an de d t h e no n-p ro f i t o r ganiz a t io n NC L D —Na t io nal Cen ter of Learning Disabilities. The mission of NCLD is to improve the lives of 1 in 5 children and adults. My redesign objec tive was to educate people to understand the world of learning d i s a b i l i t i e s . G e n e r a l l y, I u s e d t h e c o l o r y e l l o w t o m a n i f e s t the whole project because I want to at tract more people's at tention to the issue of learning disabilities. For the logo, I cre a te d a b roken fe elin g lo go to rep re s en t t h e v isual o f t h e learning disabilities. The book is for parents to understand more about their child who has the learning disabilities. People can use the app to scan books then the app will read t o t h e m . T h e s e co n d a r y f u n c t i o n i s a w o r d g a m e f o r c h i l d r e n to help them learn spelling.

The goal of this projec t was to redesign a magazine of choice in a n e w w a y f o c u s i n g o n e x p e r i m e n t a l t y p o g r a p hy a n d l a y o u t .

APPROACH /

T h e m a g a z i n e c h o s e n w a s t h e D e c e m b e r 2 0 14 i s s u e o f M a r t h a St e w a r t L i v i n g . I c h o s e t o e l i m i n a t e a n y t y p e o f g r i d s y s t e m . T h r o u g h v a r i o u s t y p e t r e a t m e n t s co m b i n e d w i t h f a b r i c p a t t e r n s and playing with visual ef fec t of produc ts. I used the fabric co l o r a n d p a t t e r n co m b i n e d w i t h t y p e t o m a k e t h i s m a g a z i n e unique to grab the reader 's at tention. This projec t allowed me to escape my comfor t zone by playing with sideways t ype, and experimenting with leading and kerning.

APPROACH /

I'm a person who doesn' t know any thing about cooking, so I decided to develop an app that can easily teach people how to cook step by step. The unique func tion of my app is people c a n t a ke p h o t o s o f t h e f o o d t h e y h a v e , t h e n t h e a p p c a n g i v e suggestions for recipes. The app also contained social media functions to encourage people cook more and share their food with friends.

To f i n d a h a n d d r a w i n g s i g n a n d r e d e s i g n i t , a n d d e v e l o p a n e w v i s u a l system. The new contents deliverable using this piece. The goal is to use graphic skill to improve the visual communication of the sign and transform it into nex t level.

APPROACH /

I found a sign that promote the cof fee and bread of Cof fee Cole. Cof fee C o l e s o l d h e a l t h y, o r g a n i c f o o d a n d d r i n k s . T h e f i n a l d e l i v e r a b l e s a r e a promotion brochure, postcards, and a series packaging design for cof fee and to-go boxes.
