They say there’s power in numbers. It’s true — and nothing compares to that more than the Georgia Wellness and Fitness Festival. This festival growing from 1,500 people its first year to over 20,000 last year. This year we are celebrating 5 years of fitness with the 2018 theme:

The Georgia Wellness and Fitness Festival (GWFF) is a mixture of signature events, Fit Tested/ Fit Approved community partner events, and regularly scheduled events. This week is Georgia’s opportunity to become a Fit State for a week. GWFF is a great way to motivate yourself to get back in your fitness groove, decrease your stress levels, and even travel around the community and see new things. Get your family, friends and colleagues ready to celebrate fitness from September 3 –9, 2018!!

Mulberry Market is a farmers market, located in Tattnall Square Park, dedicated to providing access to healthy and nutritious foods to all individuals. Each Wednesday (yearround) you will be able to get your fresh local produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, eggs, and various crafts.

The market offers a SNAP/EBT benefits matching program where SNAP/EBT beneficiaries receive double the dollars in tokens to be used at the market.

The Craft Classic Half Marathon and 5K offers a unique Atlanta course with start/finish in Grant Park, routes along the BeltLine and a rewarding finish with delicious refreshments. Race giveaways for all participants include a gender specific commemorative event shirt, custom finisher's medal (both events), complimentary food, two post run craft brews (21+) and free race photos.

The Wilson100 is named after Scott Wilson, one of the past presidents of the Southern Bicycle League who made tremendous contributions to improving cycling in the Atlanta area. Scott Wilson was in his late 30’s when he passed away in September 1986 of cancer. This being the original SBL Century ride that started in the 1970’s was re-named for Scott in 1987.In honor of Scott Wilson the Southern Bicycle League will be donating a portion of the ride proceeds to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Georgia Chapter.




Saturday, September 8 at 8 AM - 11 AM Warner Robins, 8:00 AM This 9th Annual race supports adult education programs and GED scholarships in Central Georgia Technical College’s 11-county service area. The fairly flat course starts at the student pavilion on the CGTC Warner Robins campus and winds through the Houston Commons area.

The ALS Association’s premier event, our Walk to Defeat ALSŽ is an outlet for communities across the nation to demonstrate their concern for and the urgent need to find the cure for ALS while providing the best care for those who are currently battling the disease. What began more than 15 years ago as a grassroots effort to increase awareness has now turned into a National Signature Event that the entire ALS community rallies behind, growing the number of teams and participants each year.

Health For your Pets!


Savannah Children’s Museum will host a day of healthy living and family fun, showcasing our many health and wellness programs and great community partnerships. The event, called “Healthy Me!” will take place on Saturday, September 8th from 10 am to 2 pm at Savannah Children’s Museum, 655 Louisville Rd. Savannah, GA 31401. The event will feature some of Coastal Heritage Society's Mobile Museum programs, including Bonnie’s Garden, an educational garden on wheels, and Charlie Cart, a complete traveling kitchen. Savannah Children’s Museum educators will lead interactive programming throughout the day that encourages whole body wellness.

The CrossFit Specialty Course: Adaptive Training is an interactive single-day course designed to teach trainers and athletes how to make CrossFit accessible to impaired athletes. Participants will learn how to train athletes with a wide range of impairments, from non-permanent (trauma, injury or illness) to permanent (congenital disorders, combat trauma, automobile accidents, etc.).
