LOCATION: INDIANS SPRINGS
"Indian Springs State Park is one of the oldest state parks in the nation, drawing people to its mineral rich healing waters and tranquil natural setting, offering you a journey through time from its Creek Indian origins to the stone buildings built by the CCC." Conveniently located near I-75 in middle Georgia, Indian Springs is one of the oldest state parks in the United States and a popular spot for outdoor recreation. For centuries, Creek Indians collected the spring water for its healing qualities, and during the 1800s, the area was a bustling resort town. Today, visitors can still sample the spring water flowing inside the stone Spring House built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression.

YOGA RETREAT LEADER RYAN SADDLER
Balancing Earth Slacklines [Teacher Ryan Saddler often refers to Slackline as instant meditation. You focus on your breath or the line lets you off. Slackline can be used for many things. It can be a way to have fun at the park with friends. It can be a workout tool (with guaranteed results) or a way to transform your Yoga practice. Either way all Slackers agree the affects on your body, mind and even the way you walk on the ground are undeniable.] Slackro basics with Cat, David and Ryan
In recent years, many YogaSlackers teachers have been blurring the boundaries between classic acro and slackline. This often takes the form of adapting moves and sequences from the line into acro moves, or using acro to train for more advanced slackline possibilities. This form is unique enough in practice and intention that we've dubbed it Slackro. During the slackline half of this workshop, our goal is to give the students the tools they need to develop a slackline practice that includes our four main principles (kneeling, standing, sitting, and arm balances). We will put the group in pairs to work together on their own line. We will work through the class introducing each principle one at a time. Starting with ground work while explaining what muscles and body parts should be engaged for each pose. We will then give a demonstration of each, allowing everyone to see the set up execution and progressions for each pose.
