YOGA at Tattnall Square Park 9 am We have a remarkable opportunity this Saturday to have a world renowned yoga instructor teach our class at Tattnall Square Park. Tommy
Rosen is a yoga
teacher and addiction recovery expert from Venice California, and has spent the last 20 years immersed in Kundalini and Hatha Yoga. He is the author of "Recovery 2.0: Move Beyond Addiction and Upgrade Your Life" published by Hay House.
The way it works: This is a free, community driven, yoga class offered in an effort to bring yoga to the people of Macon - outside, in our beautiful Tattnall Square Park, where we want it. This is not a business, it produces no income. The teachers are typically volunteers from local studios. To show our gratitude for their generosity, we place a basket for donations. Please consider bringing a few dollars to put in the basket.
Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to experience the teaching of Tommy Rosen. Bring a friend, a family member or a casual acquaintance. Let's show him what a great yoga community we have here in Macon.
See you in the park! NamastĂŠ, y'all!

Bring a Cape and you get to Skate! Rigby's Entertainment Complex is partnering with the Macy Easom Cancer Research Foundation to help collect capes for kids who are battling various forms of pediatric cancer. Bring in a superhero cape to be donated to a child and you get to skate for free on October 9th! The kids who will be receiving these capes are undergoing strenuous treatments that are the same as adults face when diagnosed with cancer. They can't do as much as the kids at home for the Halloween Holiday, but they can show off their super strengths with some awesome capes! Help us reach the cape count goal! Skating is great exercise!! 16

Lunch Right with Every Bite! Each year, the American Diabetes Association encourages companies and organizations to inform and educate their employees about the importance of a healthy lunch inside and outside the workplace. Not just on National Healthy Lunch Day, but everyday of the year, a healthy, balanced lunch can be a key in preventing and managing diabetes. This year we are partnering with the Georgia Wellness and Fitness Festival.
What is National Healthy Lunch Day? One day a year, the American Diabetes Association leads a national awareness campaign, aiming to provide companies across the nation with resources and materials on how to eat a healthier lunch. National Healthy Lunch Day celebrates the importance of good nutrition and its role in lowering your risk for type 2 diabetes and heart disease. What does the American Diabetes Association provide? A complete National Healthy Lunch Day tool kit provides a wealth of scalable ideas, tips, lunch-themed activities, and more ways to inspire, encourage and empower your employees or members to eat healthy lunches. It includes communication materials, promotional materials, resources to share, and even lunch recipes. How can your organization be involved? With your help, National Healthy Lunch Day can be a great success. It starts with getting employees and executives involved with the planning and promotion of Healthy Lunch Day, and encouraging everyone involved to share their knowledge with family and friends. There many fun ways that National Healthy Lunch Day can be activated – contact us today to learn more about this exciting opportunity to promote workplace wellness! Charise Stephens
