Many of us would love to be able to get our hands on a gorgeous dress, but I'm sure our bank accounts would't allow it until.....NOW! She was able to ask some questions on his interest in becoming a chef and what he likes to do for fun! So Lawrence, How did you know you wanted to become a chef?
Born and raised in Southern California, Chef Lawrence Duran always knew he wanted to one day become a Chef catering to the stars! Duran was raised by his single mother who worked long hours to support the family. This forced him at a young age to start making his own meals. Inspired by Julia Child and Thomas Keller he believed, if he worked hard, one day he too could reach their level of greatness..
Chef: "I first realized that I wanted to be a chef when I was around 12. I always loved trying new things and was always fascinated by the way dishes were created and how there were so many ways to create different dishes using simple ingredients." Sea bass Veracruz
Directions: Sauce: Heat a drizzle of oil in a large sauté pan over medium high heat and add onions. Cook onions until translucent then add the tomatoes, jalapeño, Serano pepper, garlic, green olives, sweet peppers, and capers. Cook for about 3 minutes then add the white wine and allow the alcohol to cook out then add in the oregano, Ingredients: marjoram, bay leaf, cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, 1 medium Onion diced pepper flakes, and salt & pepper to taste. 2 cups Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes chopped Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 20 1 Jalapeño seeded and minced minutes. 1 Serano pepper seeded and minced 4 Garlic cloves minced Sea Bass : Preheat oven to 425 degrees 1/2 cup Pitted Green Olives chopped Lightly season filets with sea salt. Heat cast iron 2 cups Sweet Peppers chopped skillet or non stick pan over medium high heat 2 Tablespoons Capers drained with a drizzle of oil. Before the pan begins to 2 teaspoons Fresh Oregano minced smoke place the fillets in the pan for 3 minutes. 2 teaspoons Fresh Marjoram minced Flip the fish in the pan and place in the oven for 1 Fresh Bay Leaf about 46 minutes depending on the thickness of 2 Tablespoons Fresh Cilantro minced the fillets or until the internal temperature 1 Lime plus 1/2 of the Lime zest reaches 130 degrees. Remove the fillets from 1/4 teaspoon Pepper Flakes the oven, place on a bed of hot steamy rice, 1/2 cup White Wine ladle over with Veracruz sauce, garnish with a Sea salt & Pepper to taste lime wedge, fresh cilantro leaves, and toasted 1 pound Sea Bass cut into 2 8ounce portions pumpkin seeds & enjoy!! Toasted pumpkin seeds for garnish 1 Cup cooked brown or Jasmine rice
