Many of her clients often do not even know where to start in the overwhelming sea of fashion. Ginger helps women cut through the noise and the clutter to find things that really work for them.
What do you feel differentiates yourself as a stylist with your over 30 years experience? "Style is not only about dressing your body and looking pulled together. It’s about truly expressing who you are through the clothes you wear. I am a master at helping women identify their true essence (I refer to it as their inner beauty) and then I show them how to use that use that information to create a wardrobe that speaks to their heart and soul."
Why is it important to have inner beauty words before figuring out what to buy?
What inspired you to become a stylist? "Part of the reason I relate so well to my clients is that I was in their shoes years ago. I struggled all through my teens and twenties with how to dress. I rarely felt like myself in what I was wearing. I tried copying what others wore but often felt like a poor imitation of them…something just wasn’t right, but I couldn’t seem to put my finger on what wasn’t working. Then, one day I heard of a 3-day workshop on ‘Fashion, Color & Image’ and I signed up. That was the beginning of everything. I LOVED what I learned.
"The bottom line is that it will help keep you from making mistakes. I can share this from personal experience. I’ve learned that if I pull something off the rack and the first words out of my mouth are, ‘This is so FUN!’ I put it back. Fun is not one of my inner beauty words (haha)!!! If I buy something ‘fun’ it will sit in my closet and I’ll admire it (and always think it’s fun!), but I will never wear it because it won’t feel right on me. Inner beauty words are incredibly personal. I’ve worked with hundreds and hundreds of women to identify their inner beauty words and no two women have EVER had exactly the same words. That’s how unique and special each of us is."
As the world has gone more digital after COVID-19, how have you as a stylist transformed your business?
"COVID-19 and sheltering-in-place hit right as I was about to start one of my busiest times of the year – spring shopping with clients. Of course, everything came to a screeching halt! I chose to make the most of the breaks in my schedule. For a long time I had wanted to create a LIVE online class and so I took the opportunity to put together this course: ‘Create Your Personal Style in 6 Weeks.’ I took the 6 most pressing issues I hear from women who are frustrated with their wardrobes and we dive deeply into each of them over the 6 classes. The program filled immediately and I’ve been doing it regularly ever since."
"Most of my clients are women over 40 who are feeling lost with their style. Things they used to wear don’t work anymore – sometimes because their bodies have change or sometimes because their lifestyle is different. These changes are SO true for most of us now with so many people working from home, pivoting their business direction or retiring and what they used to wear on a daily basis no longer fits their new lifestyle or changing body." My goal is it to give each woman hope, offer new solutions and inspire her to make changes that make her heart sing every time she gets dressed." Embracing Latinas' and beyond with Latina Entreprenuer Ariadna Arredondo Any words of advice to those who want to see their content on TV and film?
"Fight for your work but also be cheerfully receptive to criticism and notes!"
Today our Latina contributor Ariadna Arredondo is highlighting her amazing business partner, Nastassja Kayln ! Nastassja is an Afro-Latina screenwriter and producer from Anacortes, Washington. She was born into a family of artists who taught her how to express herself through art. Nastassja co-founded Rebel Maverick, a production company creating projects that cater to multi-cultural and universal audiences with a focus on storytelling mediums that empower people of color, women, the LGBTQ community, and other marginalized groups. How did you go from acting to writing and producing? When did your spark and passion for creating a production company start? "At the age of 10, my mother took me to my first audition, I booked it, and after that she became my “momager”. Because we moved around a lot, it was always hard making new friends, or making real connections. I would come home frustrated all the time so my mother gave me a journal and told me to go write about my day, then she would advise me to rewrite the same story but give it an ending that I could live with. This eventually led me to writing fictional stories (inspired by my real life events), and next thing you know I am doing this for a living. I collaborated with another writer, Matt Nicholas, for a project we currently have set up. He and I realized that we worked really well together, and with both of our levels of perception we felt like when a story is made we are able to explore that story more thoroughly than we would individually. From there we decided to not only write our stories but produce them because who else could really see the vision like we could? From there Rebel Maverick was formed, and our partnership became even stronger."
Any current projects you can tell us about? "Only one until we get the OK to mention the others! We currently have a film adaptation of Juleah Del Roasrio’s book 500 Words or Less set up at a studio alongside Gabrielle Union’s I’ll Have Another productions. We are really excited about this project!"

"LaTeaNa is a weekly podcast that discusses the tropes and plights of being a Latina in the modern age while also celebrating the beauty and són that comes with it. Our desire is to bring topics that are often swept under the rug to light and create a community that encourages the breaking of generational trauma!"
Why is your mission for Rebel Maverick important to you? "Representation is extremely important. Everyone should feel seen and everyone’s experiences being who they are should be normalized. Not just a specific group of people. Everyone."
Who is Ariadna? Ariadna is the Founder of Always Believer and Co-Founder of the LA•TEA•NA Podcast with Nastassja. Ariadna is a mix of Venezuela, U.S and Spain all rolled into one. She is a content creator, author, podcast host, producer, humanitarian, activist and a multi-passionate entrepreneur. To a woman who gives the world of spotlights to many women through her show, Dacey's Divas, writes the Z-Lists at the Lowell Sun and beyond. We thought it was time to highlight the woman behind it, Introducing Dacey Zouzas.
What is Dacey's Divas and what inspired the show? "When I sold real estate, I met so many amazing women who inspired me to create a show that showcased their amazing talents and strength. Dacey’s Divas brings Diva status to every day women who may otherwise not have a platform or a voice."
Tell us more about the Z-List and where the inspiration came from? "I have always been awed and inspired by my beautiful mother, Despena Zouzas, and sisters, Dr. Tanya Zouzas...
...and Philanthropist Elaine Zouzas Thibault and their great fashion flair. They have always helped me curate looks and outfits for events and everyday fun. This led to the inspiration of becoming a Lifestyle Correspondent, Founder, and Creative Director for the “The ZList”, featured in the Lowell Sun in Massachusetts. The Z-List was created when there was a great need for coverage of social events and highlighting non-profit organizations. The fashion piece was integrated to uplift and inspire a vast amount of readers."
We know you do a lot of work with non-profits! What is your latest venture ? My latest venture was the “Dacey’s Daisies Sneaker Project”. This was hosted by the Dacey Zouzas Endowment For The Arts, administered by the nonprofit CCA pARTners, Inc. The Endowment was established by my family in recognition of a significant milestone in my life. It supports artists, performers, and local businesses in conjunction with the Chelmsford Center For ..
..The Arts of which I am also a founding board member. It also aims to provide art experiences for children and young people. The endowment gave away 25 pairs of girls sneakers that were donated by Puma North America, and were painted with the endowment logo (a daisy) by local artist Angelina Tavares of Lowell."
With the transition of COVID, how has it affected the events and projects you cover? "I reinvented The Z-List back in May, in order to feature front-line and essential workers. I coined it “The Real Champions” inspired by How can people check you out the song “We are the Champions” and see your articles !! by Freddie Mercury and QUEEN. These champions included nurses, Check out The Z-List in the paper doctors, market basket employees, every Sunday, & online through the USPS workers, Nemlec, and many Lowell Sun website: more. How to Embrace The New Normal With Resilience with Relationship Expert, Laney Zukerman This pandemic has brought some of us closer and others more distant. It has caused us to pause, reflect, consider redirecting our lives. When this all began we knew so little and many months later though we know more, we still have unanswered questions. But as drastic, frightening, crazy this whole 2020 year has been for the majority of the world, there are and will continue to be amazing moments in our New Normal.
Life is journey and there are times that we must take charge and control only what we can. By taking the reins of our thinking and behavior, we can not only survive this but eventually thrive.
Life is like a sea of change. We were taught that from family, past history and experience. But nothing in our lifetimes has prepared us for the unprecedented changes that a global pandemic would bestow on our world.
Take time for yourself. Social distancing does not mean socially disconnecting. Many of us are working from home these days and many are home-schooling children. Take breaks. Meditate, read, take long walks, do an exercise or yoga video, calm your mind of your racing or obsessive thoughts. Going outside increasing the Vitamin D that you need to function well and stay healthy. Reach out to counselors, support groups, tele-therapy to talk. Also, having a pet at this time can be enormously soothing and comforting. If you don’t have one, consider adoption. Our furry friends needs us as much as we need them.
Here are SIX suggestions that will bring more ease to the new normal.
Volunteer.
Keep to some consistency.
Many of us are calling these times “The New Normal”. We are forging ahead with acceptance, courage, smarts and a ray of hope.
With more time and less structure, it can bring up lots of feelings. Try to set a schedule for yourself for sleeping, eating, working, social interaction.
If only a few hours a month, take the time to advocate and get involved in something you feel passionate about. Give back and be grateful. You can do a lot online!
Turn off the noise.
What we experienced should not be taken lightly. Adjustments are often times difficult and take us out of our comfort zone.
Much of what you hear, see and read is not necessarily fact. Many media companies are more focused on sensationalizing and ratings. If you live in an urban city where there is a great deal of noise, be sure to visit parks, a beach, walk near water to soothe your mind. Mental health experts and researchers have noted that many people have higher levels of mental health issues when they are in environments that are high in noise and sounds.
This can cause unexpected stress, anxiety and feelings of imbalance.Many of us are experiencing loss, grief, confusion which is an unsettling feeling. We turned our worlds into masks, hand washing, social distancing, social media and limiting life as we once knew it.
Social distancing does not mean socially disconnecting. Set aside time to reach out to friends and family. Make the most of certain restrictions being lifted. Wear your mask and consider meeting up with a friend, colleague or family member for brief periods of time (socially distancing of course)!

Eat healthy. No-one is telling you that you can’t indulge once in awhile, but more and more research is showing that eating healthy by lowering sugar and white flour in your diet can help heal the body. "I didn’t realize it at the time that I was paving the way for the women of the world to step up and be counted. I never even thought about being an entrepreneur! My plan was to just to grow up, get married and live happily ever after!
Nikki Haskell's fearlessness and success have made her ONE popular figure! Did you know, Nikki was one of the first female I found that over time I became more creative and more inquisitive about certain things that stockbrokers on Wall Street? She has excelled in every industry she has approached, including in her roles as a film producer, artist, inventor, talk show host, and even as a great party hostess. Her path of excellence began early on! Born in Chicago and raised in Beverly Hills, Nikki attended Beverly Hills High School. Her next stops were the New York Institute of Finance and the Chicago Art Institute. As an art lover, she created several pieces that stood out and garnered awards. She won awards at the Brussels Art Fair and several other art shows. Nikki now has a line of published art by Graphic Encounter Fine Art. When Nikki moved into the entertainment industry, she created the famous, “The Nikki Haskell Show”. She produced and hosted over 300 episodes, and her show blazed the path for other reality and talk shows to follow. Nikki has interviewed thousands of celebrities across various industries including Liza Minelli, Andy Warhol, George Clooney you name it, she probably has interviewed them!
"I went to the New York Institute of Finance, and I was the only woman out of 1,900 men. I love the odds, but these were accountants and major college graduates, attorneys and little me. I passed the exam the first time, and the rest is history. I loved it, it was very exciting, and extremely financially rewarding. I was able to get huge accounts. Eventually it backfired because at first they thought it was sort of cute that I was a stockbroker sort of like a little mascot. But once I started making a lot of money they weren’t happy. Too bad."
At the time, there were restaurants that said "Men Only" but according to Nikki, that didn't include her . She went in and sat at the best tables with the heads of all of the big brokerage firms. "I worked for Drexel Burnham which was an
extremely prestigious firm...
were missing from the marketplace. Things that I couldn’t find and things that hadn’t even been invented yet! From there, my creativity as an entrepreneur began. " When Nikki left the brokerage business, Prince Egon Von Furstenberg asked if she wanted to be the co-host on a cable television show that he was shooting. Back in the day, people hated cable and nobody wanted to watch it but, it sounded good to Nikki! After she agreed to do the show, Egon decided he didn’t want to do the show so they made it "The Nikki Haskell Show." "I loved going to discotheques more than
anything, so of course I shot the first show and many shows after at Studio 54(one of the hottest discos in the world). Having no experience, and since no one else actually had any idea what to do, it was a great adventure!"
With all the inventions and businesses you have created , tell us about the latest invention star shooters, what inspired it?
"I launched the Star Shooterz “For the selfie in you”. It’s a fabulous new phone case that stands up, lights up, and turns into a zooming selfie stick with vanity lights in multiple colors. With its unique design, it includes a standalone support stand in the back of the accessory case. It gives the user a better view of the phone and makes it easier to take selfies. This stand unfolds to a full-length selfie stick for the perfect pictures from any situation. It has an attachment to take pictures and to seamlessly send images and videos to the user’s printer or computer and to have these printed upon arrival at home or office. This particular model is for the iPhone 5,6 ,7, 8 SE. They are available on Amazon Prime and in The Beverly Hills Hotel. Nikki is also working on several fun projects.

It was a very important time for American Fashion the 80's. It was when American designers became very prominent! Nikki decided to put Fashion on television and was the FIRST person to do it. She loved covering the Met Gala, and Fashion Shows interviewing Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren’s first fashion show, Calvin Klein, Halston, Zandra Rhodes, Carolina Herrera to name a few.
"I was fortunate to have interviewed so many amazing people. The first interview that I did was with famed Artist Leroy Neiman and after we became amazing friends . I was also the first person to ever interview Donald Trump. My interview with Madam Marcos, I think, was my most difficult and most challenging one to get." next stop: LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA WHAT GOES INTO A COVER SHOOT At NEXTonSCENE we are so grateful for our readership in California these past six years. For the first time since our launch in 2014, we did our cover shoot on location in Los Angeles this September.
ALSO make sure, outfits, jewelry and hair and makeup inspiration is prepped prior. Create a vision board to get some inspiration. We love Pinterest for that ! You always want to be on the same page as your team!
Fourth: YOU NEED A LOCATION. Be open to ideas and flexible. It ended up perfect because the Oppenheim Group had a listing on the market that was PERFECT for the shoot. Location: 1383 Londonderry Pl. Los Angeles, CA.
We thank Mario Barberio & Eileen Sandoval for having held down the fort in Los Angeles on our prior cover shoots over the past few years but THIS year was truly MAGICAL to finally all got to meet and collaborate together in person. When planning a photoshoot, whether a magazine cover or even a branding shoot, there are a lot of moving parts to consider.. FIRST: Booking the TALENT. There is no photoshoot unless the talent is available! I always suggest booking no LESS than one month in advance. Also, who is representing the talent? You need a DIRECT point on contact for the talent as EVERYONE gets busy.
Second: YOU NEED A SQUAD. You cannot do this on your own! Find a photographer, hair/makeup team, styling team and EVEN someone to do social media to cover the day. Outfit selection and hair and makeup were definitely major parts in putting this masterpiece together. We used EVERY inch of the house for the shoot from the roof to the movie theatre on the lower floor! This beautiful home is truly ONE-of-a-kind with AMAZING skyline views of Los Angeles from every ROOM!
Of course a photoshoot isn't complete without the photography and social media teams making it come to LIFE!

Tell us how you fell into real estate? "It's been a family thing for many generations, it's in my blood as much as anything can be.I started as a lawyer and wasn't truly fulfilled . I knew real estate was where I wanted to be." Have you always been in West Hollywood selling real estate? "I started real estate in Beverly Hills, but I always knew I wanted to sell in the Hollywood Hills. I gradually ended up there because many of my clients were buying and selling around there." How has COVID changed buyers behaviors? "I don't think it will have a lastIng effect. I do think houses with yards will benefit over condos." If you could spend a day with someone dead or alive you have not met yet who would you choose and why? "Oh that's easy, Albert Einstein . I’ve read all of his biographies and I think he was brilliant. What most people don’t know is that he was very stuck in his ways and dogmatic. He didn't really open his mind to quantum mechanics and thus unfortunately contributed little to the science world during the last few decades of his life." What is Jason's secret sauce to success? "Not to be cliche, I just work really hard. It took me three years before I saw any success. It’s much easier to succeed when you love what you do, and I look forward to Monday mornings probably even more than any Saturday morning."

What's next for you? "I want to keep my foot on the gas pedal and do more of the same. I have thought about expanding in California, maybe Orange County, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. If I were to go outside Southern California, maybe Miami, New York & London. I just don't want to spread myself thin. So we will see what happens."

"Before 2008, I got my license. I found myself moving all the time because I loved the process of finding a new home. I was always moving and up rooting my life and my son's life. I finally decided that instead of spending money, I can show them for a living and then experience the ins and outs of finding my clients dream homes without spending!" How long have you been in real estate & do you remember the first house you ever sold?

"Yes! I have been in real estate for 12 years. My first house I sold was a townhouse in Redondo Beach. I started my career in the beach cities. I did an open house and I worked for a different real estate company at the time which no longer exists. There, I met my first clients. They wanted to sell their three bedroom townhouse and wanted to buy a new construction on the beach. It is always nerve racking, in the first deal, you really don't know what your doing. People think they can sell a $5 million dollar house from the start." What is a day in the life of Mary? "I check my emails, text messages and do whatever I need to do business wise. I get things done for the show and juggle the show in between work. Sometimes I find the production team would like for me to have my deals on camera but I tell them I need to do the deal NOW!" What is your response to people who don't believe this is real life? "Be around us for five minutes and then you will realize this is real." How do you balance being a wife/mom and realtor?

"Romain, is my husband and he is as busy as I am. He is a project manager for a lot of our clients. Whenever they want to resell and or remodel , he is the one that manages that entire project. I love what i do and I want to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way. I would love to start flipping homes with Romain."

"People are coming away from the shiny polish gold which I am happy to see. I went with it because a lot of people loved it, but I knew it was on it's way out. I see more antique brass coming in and I love it because it is timeless. It's in castles, french chateaus, mansions to name a few. I also am seeing more Matte Black. From the trim in your house to faucets, door handles and even showerheads. I don't know if it's a trend or if it will be around for awhile but I like it." What creativity has come out since quarantine? "Well, I learned that drinking wine can help ;) . Since real estate for me was still newer, I took a harder pause than others who have been in the industry longer. On a positive note, it allowed me to hang out with my kids more, design furniture including: two beds, some loveseats, and one client even had them made! It has been so inspiring to see my work come to fruition during COVID! As I eventually want my own Home Goods line. My end goal is to list the house, sell the house, design the house and offer the full service for my clients. " What is a day in the life of Amanza?

"I am not the mom who wakes up at 5:30am , I sleep until 7:45am. I jump up quickly, make breakfast through the air fryer, then I wake up the kids as I am drinking my coffee. Then they get ready for remote learning and change as my son loves to go to school in his pajama bottoms! In between learning when we aren't filming , I try to meditate, and relax in between the kids zoom classes. When we were filming for seven months, if you saw the show, my kids' dad left. So my work hours were crazy between many hours filming, staging and real estate. When we stopped filming, it allowed more quality time for me and my kids. I was in HEAVEN. I didn't have to be anywhere, I stayed up late with slumber parties in the living room. Now that things are getting back to some sort of normalcy, I would say if you wanted to watch my kids for a week or two, I am open ears ;) "

SECOND: Market Analysis:
In Massachusetts, a real estate agent has a fiduciary responsibility to the person they are representing, meaning they are obligated by law to do everything in your best interest similar to an attorney or a financial advisor. If you are a buyer and you deal directly with the listing agent their fiduciary responsibility is to the seller, not you, which is why it's so important for you to have your own advocate. Plus it's FREE, in Massachusetts, the seller pays the realtor fee so you have no out of pocket costs for this invaluable service. For these reasons and many more it's important for you to have a real estate agent advocating for you in the process. Like in all professions, not all real estate agents are created equally and you should make sure you find the right fit for your personality and personal circumstances.
I cover a large territory and make sure I have both the breadth and depth in terms of market and sales analysis. Many clients need direction in terms of what areas suit their budget because often the town they grew up is no longer economically feasible. There are many areas out there that are on the rise and investing in their school systems, etc. and I have placed many happy clients in towns that they hadn't before considered and now have permanent roots there! Market analysis is also very important in determining your offer price, and should be considered in relation to how long you plan to stay there. Ideally we want your investment in your home's equity to be at a minimum protected and even better to grow significantly.
THIRD: Negotiation Skills:
Offer strategy is incredibly important and takes into account your circumstances, the seller's circumstances, the local market, and the listing agent's style. There are many different strategies we can employ and it is my job to advise you as to what I think is in your best interest that will not only get the offer accepted but mitigate your risk in the process. In our current environment, inventory is at an all time low, which means that property is selling for well over it's listing price. In these circumstances, it's vital that I help you navigate these choices looking at the whole picture of your long-term goals, and how long you plan to stay in the home, to ensure you make the right investment.
FIFTH: Hands on service from day one to closing day and beyond: Buying a home is very daunting and honestly there is a lot at stake, which is why I aim for you to have as much transparency as possible.
Here are the top 5 ways I ensure my clients have a good experience: FIRST: No pressure sales: Guess what? I do 40 of these transactions a year but you might only do 3 in your LIFETIME. This is why it is SO important for me to honor my client's experience and let them take as much time as they need - I have some clients who find homes in weeks, and some clients who take years. I get very attached to my clients so truthfully the longer you take the better! It is very normal to course correct along the way because of life events or in response to the market. This process is not about me but about you finding the perfect home for your current lifestyle and making sure you make a sound investment.
The negotiations in a deal don't stop after the offer that's just when they begin! The home inspection will incur additional negotiations and after the purchase and sale there can be title issues that need to be addressed! I have successfully negotiated a $20,000 price reduction 2 days prior to closing because of an unresolved title issue! Also many people underestimate how challenging negotiations are, I studied psychology in school which has proved incredibly valuable during negotiations. Real estate is about people coming together on the same goal but with opposite interests, which makes negotiations more nuanced than what you might do at a car dealership. It is also increasingly challenging when you have an emotional interest and egos must be put aside to focus on the big picture. Having someone who negotiates for a living will set you up for success.
We discuss the process during our first conversation, and I remind you of the deadlines and their importance throughout the transaction itself. I aim to be super responsive and available 24/7 for your questions. I am also as available to my clients after the sale, consulting on renovations and how to add value to their home if necessary, or providing contacts for work that needs to be done. If you are my client you are a client for life! There are many roads to success in the home buying process, and this is just mine! Remember, never settle on a home, everything happens the way it's supposed to and if you miss out on one house or more, it means there's one even better out there for you. GET IN TOUCH :

NEXT STOP for our second year wedding anniversary was Cape Cod, Massachusetts! This summer we got to experience Yarmouth, Hyannis & Harwich!
For dessert we of course tried one of the hottest ice cream spots in town, Cape Cod Creamery. Getting oversized portions makes the line worth the wait!

Our second night we went into downtown Hyannis to try one of the Mexican spots. It was ONE hidden gem. Anejo Mexican Grill has an adorable ambiance and delicious food!
Andrew (my husband) and I are major foodies. So we for sure have to share some must HAVES to try for your next CAPE vacation!
Our first night we tried out the amazing little Geraldi's Cafe. This little hidden gem in South Yarmouth , five minutes from our hotel was one italian restaurant for the books.
If you haven't heard of OCEAN MIST in South Yarmouth, MA . It needs to be your next booking!
For appetizers we got homemade guacamole , chips, salsa and their spicy jalapeno margaritas.. BOMB!
We had beautiful waterfront views.. Literally 3 steps from the beach.
Cheesy Garlic Bread, Eggplant Rollatini and Haddock with homemade spinach was so tasty! Also definitely recommend their Cabarnet wine to pair with this meal!
For entrees we got chicken fajitas and salmon Mexican salad. Both amazing and super tasty. You can tell all their meals were also made with lots of LOVE.

The Kale Salad with Parmesan and Tuna Tartare with Eggplant were amazing super FRESH and tasty! Our dinner was complete with a HOMEMADE Hazelnut Donut for DESSERT with fresh ice cream!
