DEADLINE NOVEMBER 5TH!
m ro f er de t t i le r b the BE PATIENT. As I first stated, things are going to happen completely out of your control and people are going to surprise you and disappoint you. Even some of the people you think are the closest to you. Be open to change as it will happen even leading up to the day of your wedding...
Recently married, I feel there is ENDLESS knowledge to share. As everyone has their own experiences, there is nothing more valuable then hearing from someone you trust that has done it before you. People are going to surprise you, disappoint you and things will happen completely out of your control. My best advice is, if you can handle the wedding process, Chances are in your favor you will have a long happy healthy marriage! So first, LOOK AT VENUES! Find out what things cost so you can figure out your budget. I highly recommend before booking anything you need to FIND your venue first. Be flexible with dates, I wanted so long to have a designated date and all the places I really liked were taken.
BE OPEN to opinions but if you truly feel you want something special, stand your ground. I also recommend trusting people if your gut says they can handle the situation. I was truly so impressed how amazing my moms and sisters all stepped up for my bridal shower, getting my gown, and day of wedding coordination.
Have your #GLAMSQUAD make a schedule for hair and makeup for the morning of the wedding. It will keep everything more organized and keep you on a time schedule. If you have a pet, hire someone to make sure they can be a part of the special day, even if it is just photos! You won't regret it and have those memories FOREVER. Things are not going to run exactly on time or as planned but it will ALL WORK OUT! My husband and I didn't have a set plan down for our ceremony but day of everything worked out beautifully.
Take some time before and after the wedding for Take DANCE LESSONS! It is YOU. It is going to come romantic, fun and really special and go so fast, it is really for you and your partner leading important to make that up to the big day. We had a time. great experience with Dance Stream Studio. I recommend DO A FIRST LOOK, so not doing them last minute, intimate and special for the it is really nice and romantic couple before seeing each to do them a few months other down the aisle for the leading up to your wedding! first time. HIRE two photographers and a videographer. It is SO special to capture what you and your significant other are doing the morning of along with capturing it through photos and video.
Make sure you have someone you can trust day of to over see how the event is running and to make sure your envelopes and gifts are in a safe spot.
Take photos with family and bridal party prior to ceremony , it will make your day more enjoyable. Day of your wedding, don't forget to for you and your partner to take a few minutes to eat and reenergize. Wedding Mantra: When you get stressed and things are out of your control, remind yourself "it will all work out" it always does!
MORE IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE PROCESS! IT GOES BY IN A FLASH!

Fellas: Congratulations, you did it. You bought the ring, she said, “Yes!”. Your work is now done, right? WRONG. Your work is really just beginning. What awaits you is a wedding planning process that many days will feel like a never-ending spin cycle of Tired. Frustrated. Broke. Repeat. I cannot promise you that every day will be easy. I can promise you that following this Basic Groom Survival Guide will make your journey to that land of marital bliss MUCH more enjoyable.
BE INVOLVED I can’t emphasize this enough. Wedding planning is a two-person job... Go to the venues. Meet with the vendors. Help with the seating arrangements. There is a ridiculous amount of micro-decisions that need to be made. Your future wife appreciates your input. She's right, but she wants your input. CRUSH YOUR BACHELOR PARTY You do not need to recreate The Hangover, but you do need to spend a weekend somewhere with your guys just being idiots. Do not have a combined bachelor/bachelorette. The experience, the jokes and the memories are all that much better when it is just you and your crew. Live it up, just don’t screw it up.
DO A FIRST-LOOK So much of your wedding is focused on your guests. The first-look is something that will always belong only to the two of you and you will remember that moment forever. Plus, you get your tears out upfront. Your ugly cry will not photograph well.
NEVER FORGET THE GOAL There will be days that you will wonder why you are even doing this to yourselves. In those moments, remember that it’s not about the napkin colors. It’s about your love and commitment to each other. Walk away from planning and remind your future wife that you love her. Make her remember why you are worth all the headaches. Good luck.

The Insider’s Guide to Wedding Bands! with Tesoro boston Co-foUNDER, neRISSA paRISI-HILL There are few pieces of jewelry more meaningful than your Engagement Ring and, wait for it….you guessed it, your Wedding Bands! These are the rings with all the feels. The meaning. The symbolism. The outward expression of your commitment and love for each other. THE ONE! As Co-Founders of Tesoro Boston, my husband and business partner David and I spend a lot of time helping couples choose this most important symbol of love! Choosing the perfect wedding band can also be overwhelming. With that in mind, we’re going to tackle the most commonly asked questions when choosing wedding bands and answer a few questions posed to us from newly minted wife and founder of NEXTonSCENE Magazine, Jackie Zukerman Delory!
Do Our Wedding Bands Need to Match? Not unless you want them to. Matching was the traditional thing to do, it showed togetherness. Today we achieve togetherness in our own way and we create our own traditions. Each of you should wear what you like and wear what makes you feel loved. Does my Engagement Ring and Wedding Band Need to Match? In days past, bridal sets were all the rage. The work was done for you because the set came as a “package deal”. While most engagement rings have a perfectly designed wedding band match, all have more than one available option! And if you’re not sure what looks best? Enter professional here. Do I Need Diamonds In My Wedding Band? Only if you love them! Traditional metal bands with custom finishes are making a big comeback. You can even consider adding color with sapphires or emeralds. Creativity is key! How Much Should I Expect To Pay?
So let’s get right to it and tackle our most common Q’s! Should We Pick Out Our Wedding Bands Together? Yes! Make a date of it! Picking out your rings together should be fun and exciting. At Tesoro Boston, we offer wedding band sessions celebrated with a bottle of Prosecco at our signature Diamond & Design Bar! It should be one of the most exciting moments of wedding planning!
There are wedding band options available in every budget. Having a clear budget in mind can guide your shopping experience. It can also help your jeweler narrow down the search. Could there be anything worse than falling in love with a ring you can’t afford? Keep your expectations realistic and you won’t be disappointed. Amazing rings can be found in every price range!
As a jeweler, what sets you apart when it comes to creating an item so significant in a couples lives? "Relationships are SO important, especially when it comes to jewelry. Engagement rings and wedding bands symbolize the most important relationship in your life! Who you choose to make those rings are just as important. A jeweler can educate you on the pros and cons of ALL of your options, and there are many…natural diamonds, lab grown diamonds, natural gemstones, synthetics, and don’t forget metal type! They can also help you determine your budget, which styles suit your lifestyle and help you design rings for each of those elements. At Tesoro Boston, we focus on the relationship. The value and beauty comes from that." Tell us about your favorite part of the process! "At Tesoro Boston we LOVE getting to know YOUR LOVE! Learning about a couple and what their relationship means to them will allow us to translate that into their jewelry. How our clients feel about style and symbolism is really important when it comes to wedding bands!"
Editor- in -Chief Jackie and her husband Andrew just went through this entire process with yours truly! We tackled some of her favorite questions about Photo: Robin Terhune Wedding Band Shopping. Read on! NEXTonSCENE
The Insider’s Guide to Wedding Bands! with Tesoro boston Co-foUNDER, neRISSA paRISI-HILL What wedding band styles are trending for the Fall season?
When should a couple start looking at wedding bands?
"We are seeing brides open up to the idea of mixing metals! This has been a viable option in the fashion world for a long time with gorgeous results, less so in the world of bridal. But mixing metals can be a beautiful way to achieve a unique result."
"Wedding planning is time consuming and stressful! Don’t leave this important detail to the last minute. Allow yourself ample time to choose your style or design your dream ring without any stress! At Tesoro Boston we have instock wedding bands and can make-toorder many custom pieces within 2-3 weeks. However, if you’re looking to create a custom wedding band, start the process at least four months out! Regardless of how your purchase or design your ring, always do a final fitting a few weeks before your wedding date. Losing or gaining weight can change the fit of your wedding band!
How does the process work when interested in looking at an engagement ring or wedding band? "Take the first step! Stop by, call or visit tesoroboston.com and make an appointment to play at the Diamond and Design Bar! You’ll get that extra personalized attention. We look at the whole picture starting with your personal style. From there we might guide your journey by trying on in-house styles, browsing your Pinterest account for inspiration or discussing value and budget. We even discuss the option of including inherited diamonds or gemstones into your engagement ring or wedding band, a process we call ReImagining. The options are endless!"
SOME FINAL THOUGHTS! "We hope you’ve found this guest article helpful and informative! We’d love to hear from you! Reach out to us if you want to learn more! #GETINTOUCH info@tesoroboston.com or find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! NEXTonSCENE BRIDAL HAIR Editorials of Official Hair Contributor, Jamie Cholaki Wow! It’s an honor every time I get chosen to style the bride's hair on her wedding day! It’s even more special when it’s one of my dearest friends Jackie Zukerman Delory! Here are some tips I used to prepare Jackie’s hair for her big day and you can benefit from them too! The best way to find a wedding hairstylist is through referrals. Most likely you have a friend or know somebody who recently got married! That’s the best resource to help you find a stylist for your special day. One of the best tips I can give for your trial is to bring all of your accessories. The earrings you plan to wear, your necklace, any hair jewels and the veil. This will help you better visualize how it will all look the day of! Clip in extensions can be used to add links but also volume! We incorporated two different blonde hues throughout Jackie’s hair to give her half up/ half down a fuller look.
Once Jackie picked her wedding date, we created a timeline for her hair care. We planned a year out! This included all of her color and hair trimming services. With highlights, I suggest booking services ten days before a special event! This allows enough time for the color to oxidize and settle in.
The biggest SECRET to helping create Jackie’s look was CHOLAKI Beauty weightless Amethyst Hair Serum. This gave her hair gorgeous crystal shine and heat protection from hot tools and minimized frizz!

entertainment & decor one- on- one with founders of travesties entertainment & life the place to be, steven & SHARON ZUKERMAN Steven, With a background of owning a successful event business for several years, what inspired you to start your own business? "When you own a company and it is operating properly there is always a desire to expand your horizons and grow. "
Sharon, when it comes to the Fall season, do you see common color themes and flowers used if so what are they? "The Fall represents the coming of Winter. We see a lot of branches and rust colors that lead into cool winter whites and silvers."
Steven, having a background as an MC, and now an Ordained Minister , Does it feel different in terms of the experiences you are offering to your clients? What are 3 key suggestions you have for a couple on how to prepare before they chat with you ?
"As an MC it is always about the vibe, the feeling and the energy level. As an Ordained Minister, it is important for the couple to organize their thoughts about why they love the person they will be marrying. Do they want to do vows ? If so, will they read them themselves or a friend or a minister???" Sharon, when it comes to planning such an important day in someone’s lives, what are the top 3 things the host or guest of honor should consider when it comes to decor?
" 1. Budget . A lot of people don’t realize what can be accomplished when realistic budgets are presented up front. Creative people will be creative with any budget in mind. When a client under cuts a budget or overestimates their budget it wastes a lot of unnecessary time. 2. Happiness. When your host/ guest of honor walks through the door of their event space they have to be overwhelmed with happiness. Things such as color or flowers or signage that reflects the things that make them happy should be incorporated throughout their room. 3. Vision. Hiring someone who can see or create your vision at a price point you are comfortable is key. Lots of people do not think out of the box missing on a lot of wow moments in their night. Some people over think things and miss an opportunity to execute their event in style by overdoing it. Being able to hire someone who can look at a space and see its potential is key in the hiring process." NEXTonSCENE
entertainment & decor one -on- one with founders of travesties entertainment & life the place to be, steven & SHARON ZUKERMAN Sharon, what do you feel sets you apart as an event planner?
Steven, What did you feel was missing from the industry that you were able to add and create on your own? " About twelve to fourteen years ago, I noticed a shift from my clients thinking from hotels, ballrooms and country clubs to the need for a more fun and funky venue for their private and corporate events."
"I get personally invested. It’s not just about the money. It’s about the family and the goal for the night. Making it the best night of their lives isn’t always the easiest task but I have to say that it can be accomplished 99% of the time with enough commitment to detail."
Steven, once a client hires you , what does the procedure look like and how far out should they be booking details with you? "While many clients wish to do things far in advance, we have learned time and time again that sooo many ideas change over time. We recommend meeting six months prior to get the ball rolling and then make a list of definite yes items,a maybe list and a list I can't live without! Candidly, the clients would never want to hear this but we have them "in our sights 3-4 weeks before their event" It is always good to do some work before but that is when it all happens." PUT YOUR BEST FACE ON FOR THE BIG DAY WITH BLUE MONARCH SKINCARE WITH TOP 3 SKINCARE TIPS FROM FOUNDER, MOJGAN BRUMBY
Before you officially become a blushing bride, check out the following top three skincare tips to send you beaming down the aisle, along with some matching Blue Monarch products to support you every flower petal-strewn step of the way.
Tip #1 - Exfoliating is Everything No matter how well you take care of your skin, dead skin cells do build up over time, which can leave your complexion looking lackluster. Ditch that dull surface layer by exfoliating on a regular basis in order to reveal radiant new skin cells that will give you a healthy glow. Although there are plenty of exfoliating options, from off-the-shelf scrubs and polishes to professional treatments like microdermabrasion, you should give preference to the gentlest, most natural option in order to protect your skin. Choosing a product or treatment that is too harsh can actually scratch your skin, damaging its delicate surface, doing more harm than good. For an all-natural approach, try Blue Monarch’s Chocolate Face & Décolleté Polish, ideal for all skin types and formulated with organic-grade ingredients like cocoa butter, coconut oil, and fair trade cocoa powder. Simply use once a week for smoother, softer, and more supple skin.
Tip #2 - A Moonlight Mask In the months leading up to your wedding day, start incorporating an evening mask into your skincare routine. Once a week, smooth a mask onto your skin and let the ingredients work to clarify your complexion. Some masks, such as charcoal, are formulated to purify your skin, clearing clogged pores and eliminating excess oils. Others deliver a concentrated helping of hydration. Depending on your skin type, there is a mask on the market to match it.
Better yet, choose one that checks all the boxes, like Monarch Mask, created for all skin types. Rich in detoxifying charcoal and clay, fragrant chocolate, and ancient herbs, Monarch Mask balances and restores the skin for an unmistakable, healthy glow.
MADE IN WESTON, MA
Tip #3 - Chill Out You’ve been planning and possibly even obsessing over every little detail involved in your dream wedding. This kind of stress takes a toll, often leaving its mark on your face in the form of dehydrated, dry, sensitive, puffy, or even sagging skin. Seek out stress-relieving activities, and make sure you’re staying hydrated and well-rested in the days leading up to your nuptials. Keep calm for a clear complexion and reach for organic, virgin Monarch Oils (argan, basil, lavender, pomegranate seed, jojoba) when you need some extra reassurance from Mother Nature.
Check out the entire Blue Monarch product line before for your beautiful debut as a bride.

where to stay for the big day editorials from director of sales & marketing at residence inn & Spring hill suites in Milford, ct, annette martinez
You secured a wedding venue, photographer, videographer, and perhaps have your eyes set on the ideal dress that only looks best on you. Now what? Have you thought out what you are planning to do with your out of town guests? We all could relate and had many laughs to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”. Unfortunately I don’t recommend hosting friends and family in your home on your special day. Lodging services should be on the top of your to do list, and I suggest reaching out to a hotel sales professional as early as one year prior to your wedding day. Before you are given a group rate, they should interview you to have a full understanding of your wedding weekend needs and expectations. This is the opportunity for them to address how they can cater to you, and mention other services that are available for wedding parties. You should contact at least three hotels to compare how their services can meet your wants and needs. Before selecting a host hotel you should have a complete understanding of their sales process, amenities, services, and additional fees. Every property operates differently based on ownership and market, so don’t assume that everyone’s contract process is the same. Extending a room block to your guests is a courtesy, and you should avoid binding yourself financially for any unsold rooms. I recommend securing a courtesy sales agreement that warrants a number of rooms and rates up to four weeks prior to the wedding.
After the release date, any unsold rooms are placed back in inventory for sale to the general public releasing you from any financial burden. Take this opportunity to ask if they will extend additional rooms and agreed room rates, should you maximize your group block prior to your release date. Will the group rate be available the day before and after the wedding to accommodate everyone’s travel needs? What type of incentives are offered to the wedding couple? Keep in mind that many incentives are based on a minimum number of rooms sold, and any concessions agreed to should be noted on the sales agreement to avoid any unnecessary frustrations on your wedding day. Hotel services vary by brand and level of service, and many properties are adapt to serve the needs of the wedding guest. Properties are able to provide you with personalized reservation links and websites at no additional cost to you. Your sales representative can provide a rooming list anytime upon request to assist in managing your group block, and to help you coordinate other essentials such as gift bags, transportation, and wedding after party or brunch. Many of these services are complimentary or at an additional fee, so inquire about these extras during your interview process.

NEXTonSCENE Bridal Joolz Our founder was so excited to gift her bridesmaids some beautiful handmade accessories with Bridal Joolz, by Gail Zona. We had the fabulous opportunity to not only capture behind the scenes of capturing the bracelets but also get to know more about Gail and what inspired her business. Tell us what inspired you to get into the jewelry business?
Bridal Joolz™ captures the essence of your special day with one-of-a-kind jewelry for your attendants, flower girls, mothers of the bride and groom, and even for you, the bride to be. Why glass accessories? "A friend was looking at my glass charms and thought that they would be pretty as wine charms. So I made a few and thought they looked a bit lonely--they needed a wine stopper! That looked so cool, that I got really inspired thinking about all the things I could make prettier and more fun by adding my glass and personalization to them. I am only just getting started on these with wine charms, wine stoppers, barware, bookmarks, cheese knives and trays! I get new ideas every day for these."
"I was making jewelry for myself already because I couldn't find stuff that I wanted. I started making things for friends and family and they urged me to start making things to sell. At the time I was starting to make things in sterling and that cost a bunch of money. So I thought, why not? Sell a bit and support my 'habit'!"
#GETINTOUCH with Sam samrobbinsmusic.com How long does it take to create the the glass? @SamRobbinsMusic "It depends on how big it is and how complex. The trick is that I cannot put it down and go take a break and come back later and finish it, because I cannot let it cool until it's done or it will crack. I have to keep going and finish it and put it in the kiln. Easy enough when it's a 10 minute glass bead or charm. Harder when it's a 60 minute glass bead. Really tests my focus and patience." Who is someone you admire in the fashion world and why? "That's an easy one...Christian Siriano. I watched him win the Project Runway 4th season talking constantly about being 'fierce'. He was young and brilliant and I wondered what kind of designer he would develop into. When he decided to dress plus size women (I am a member of that group!), I applauded his boldness. And now that he has adopted plus-sized fashion as a cause, I see him as a real force in the industry. " How can people get in touch!! "Email me at gail@bridaljoolz.com, follow me on Instagram at @bridaljoolz where I post beautiful wedding inspo pix weekly, or check out my jewelry on display at Greetings by Design Invitations in Newburyport, or Pretty Please Salon in Rowley."

Memoir of the Mother of Bride EDITORIALS WITH LESSONS BY LANEY
As most of you know by now, our amazing Editor-in-Chief, aka, my beautiful daughter Jackie married my amazing son-in law Drew this past summer. The wedding was picture perfect, we could not have asked for more! Being a parent of an adult child getting married is a wonderful time and an honor with bittersweet moments. On the one hand, you are excited and happy,on the other you face the difficult challenge of accepting how grown up they are as the sweet memories of their childhood sustain you. There are many exciting moments leading up to and including the big day but getting there can sometimes present challenges. If you are prepared (and have a daughter or son who is spot on organized) you can get to the destination with a sense of calmness and a knowing that the day will be beautiful, no matter what. To walk you through some of those more stressful days and support them on their journey as a parent, here are some tips that really will make a difference!
One. Be a support, but let go of control.
Four. Make Special Downtime Before the Wedding.
Easier said than done with all your life experience but it is a must. It is their wedding and it should be done their way. Suggestions, ideas and advice are fine but step back. Let them run the ship and you do your job as a support system.
Whether it’s a spa day, a beautiful brunch, a walk through the park or tranquil setting, make the time to talk about things “non wedding”. Talk about special memories from their childhood, how proud you are of them and give them that special gift of just being present in the moment.
Two. Lend an Ear. The two of them will have stressful days and challenges no matter how smoothly things seem to be going. Sometimes just knowing they can call, text or see you to run things by you and get your thoughts mean the world. Listening without judgment is key.
Three. Organize or research a Timeline. This can help them tremendously with planning and will reduce stress for everyone. By getting them a planner or organized timeline, they can set goals and feel a sense of accomplishment as each item gets checked off. It helps keep things smooth. You can purchase one on Amazon or download one on the internet.
(If it’s your daughter, be sure to accompany her to choose the bridal gown or your son to choose his suit, a very special moment indeed!) Though these are only a fraction of the things you can do, these steps will help get you started on a beautiful wedding journey. One filled with spectacular memories and help keep you and the bride and groom on track with a sense of calmness. Let’s face it, no matter what there will be days that will challenge you but having said that, one of the greatest memories that you will have will be that you presented your best self during this special time. I promise you, with a little planning and thought, it will be so worth it! #GETINTOUCH laneyzukerman.com @lessonsforanurbangoddess Her books are available on Amazon.com Laney has over 300,000 hits on Quora.com Quoted in Brides, Bustle, Redbook & MORE.

fall in love with italy an unforgettable honeymoon destination Looking for an amazing honeymoon that will forever be memorable? ITALY IS IT. We had the fabulous pleasure of working with Averie Borgaro from Inspired Luxe Travel who knew the ins and outs of what to do! My husband and I had never been to Italy before but working with Averie assured us throughout the entire process. She even surprised us at our first destination in ROME with some delicious dessert and champagne as you can see on the right! Our FIRST stop was Hotel Bernini Bristol. It is in the HEART of downtown Rome. The customer service was amazing. Their housekeeping was on point! I felt like everytime we left and came back our room was even cleaner! They made sure our stay was cozy and even gave us adorable Bernini Slippers!
...The Trevi Fountain (at night) and The Spanish Steps. The scenery was just truly something out of a story book, so vintage and beautiful! My husband and I say Rome reminds us of New York City but Vintage! Everyone speaks English and overall is there to make you feel right at home even though your in another country!
VATICAN CITY
The travel time was about three hours total from taking the train in Rome to Naples and then with our private driver to Positano. On our route we passed Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi so many gorgeous cities. Positano is in the heart of the Amafi Coast. Our driver even stopped as we were on the border of Sorrento to Positano and let us see the beautiful coastal views. The water is MAGICAL, sparkles and all.
After two nights and three days in Rome, we took a train to Naples and then had a private driver take us to Positano, let me tell you that in itself was INCREDIBLE.
I also highly recommend being in the heart of such a historic city to check out Vatican City...
Averie set us up with an awesome driver that made our drive not only comfortable but told us the ins and outs of the beautiful city of Positano growing up as a local.
WORD OF ADVICE: The best restaurants were the smaller, intimate "mom and pop" ones! Will discuss more on next page.. NEXTonSCENE
fall in love with italy an unforgettable honeymoon destination
When we got there, we stayed at The Positano Art Pasitea. It was a cute hotel in the heart of Positano. Our morning views were gorgeous. Our concierge was very attentive and gave GREAT suggestions of where to eat which is why I said the mom and pop restaurants were better.
My birthday was beautiful but looking back on my trip, as much as we enjoyed this restaurant, the best meals were between $70-$80 euros at the mom and pops. One being on the left, Cafe Positano which gave us a private deck just for my husband and I. It was breathtaking and the food was delicious. When you go to Italy there is nothing more authentic then the food, wine and views. Speaking from a girl with food allergies, everything is so natural and it didn't bother me...seriously!
From authentic leather to Swarovski crystals! Here are one of my two pairs I got below !
I also recommend checking out Positano's beautiful beaches! The small intimate beach is better and more cost effective to spend the day! Make sure to ask about the smaller beach to your concierge!
VATICAN CITY
Our second day, we shopped and tried a delicious restaurant Il Formaggio. It was the most authentic pasta and pizza ever! As our private driver told us, be sure to get all the pastas, grilled vegetables specifically eggplant and of course pizza, all SO good! Our first night we got there was actually my 30th birthday. I had read prior that restaurant "NEXT 2" was a great luxury dining experience with a Michelin Chef.
As you will see in my Wedding NEXTonSCENE approved items. I highly recommend you check out NANA POSITANO! Ana and her husband Vincenzo make gorgeous custom SANDALS.
As you can see, the most time we spent was on the Amafi Coast. The NEXT thing you MUST MUST book is the a cooking class at Bucca di Bacco on the bottom of the hill!

fall in love with italy an unforgettable honeymoon destination Below you see my husband showing off his culinary skills cutting the potato for the gnocchi!
There, we were able to swim in the grottos and enjoy the beautiful scenery! This was a once in a lifetime MUST bucket list thing you should do! This three hour class with Luigi and the head chefs of the restaurant not only cook with you but make it an unforgettable, DELICIOUS and fun experience. VATICAN CITY As you can see above we made homemade pizza, eggplant parmesan, gnocchi (upper right corner) with pesto sauce and almond cake! Seriously this was one of the BEST meals we made especially because ..we made it! We also met people from all over the US in our intimate group from San Diego to Florida! They also gave us a cook book, aprons, pens and chef certificates. It was pretty awesome!
Throughout the class they also give you complimentary champagne and after class they serve you your entire meal you created with some delicious wine on the water! Although the blue grotto was closed, due to high tide; we were able to swim in the green grotto. The sea comes out different colors because of the way the sand reflects through the sunlight! Then next stop.. CAPRI! What a beautiful Island! I highly recommend doing a day trip from Positano by boat! It is only a half hour but the last trip would leave by 6pm! Averie set us up for a private boat tour on the Island of Capri.
Our final evening in Positano, we went to an incredible dinner. A ten course meal with NO MENU at La Tagliata! First, the greets you and greets you and then tells you tonight we have no menu...

fall in love with italy an unforgettable honeymoon destination What an authentic, beautiful city. As soon as you enter, you just feel a shift in the energy. It is not only gorgeous but has so much to offer. Florence is known for their art and of course their wine country area!
For all you scenic lovers such as myself, I highly recommend checking out the top of the hill of Florence which over looks the entire city as you will see below!
My aunt and parents are in the kitchen cooking and we will be serving you a ten course meal.
VATICAN CITY First course was an array of antipastos, followed by an assortment of pastas as you see above. Then followed different meats and and an assortment of desserts, the food and wine was flowing all night. It truly was a fun and yummy experience! Our final stop was FLORENCE. Florence was GORGEOUS! Check out our hotel views at Plaza Hotel Luchessi above in the upper left corner.
Averie had suggested a wine/olive oil tour in the Tuscany region so we couldn't resist! Check out our views above from Diadema Wine!
We also had the fabulous experience of meeting Franco Finati, the founder of the most authentic leather in town at David 2! Franco designs custom coats for celebrities across the globe. We were so excited to get some authentic Florence leather !
We did a tour via Florencetown and did a custom tour of two wine vineyards and an olive oil vineyard! Was SO cool to see how olive oil was made !!! After, they served us a group dinner afterward. What a great group of people to share a yummy meal with! Italy as you can see was an amazing experience and we just can't wait to go back. I highly recommend reaching out to Averie at Inspired Luxe Travel for your next trip. Tell them NEXTonSCENE referred you! NEXTonSCENE

rachel rodgers photography Who took all the beautiful photos for our founder's wedding day?! this chick. Who is this talented face behind the camera... Rachel Rodgers ! "When talking with my dad about a year ago, he told me at age two, I couldn’t stop touching all the cameras in his home office! At age three, I kept pressing the shutters trying to take pictures and each year thereafter I became more and more interested in the simple, yet amazing power that a camera had to offer. When I received that first “real” camera for my birthday, I took it with me EVERYWHERE. I set up mini sessions with my friends, captured music shows, and took portraits near the lake I grew up on .
..The possibilities were ENDLESS having my very own equipment to create art with!" Rachel's style is very candid, photojournalistic and "documentary-like". She is all about creating and capturing raw emotion and genuine connection with her couples.
Rachel doesn't mind getting weird, romantic and cheesy - she loves it ALL! She especially loves adventure sessions and shooting destination weddings. She has been fortunate enough to work with couples across the country and even globally. Her most memorable was an intimate wedding in Berlin, Germany!

"When I'm not shooting, I'm making music! I was actually a flute performance major in college and am living somewhat of a double career. This makes every day different and unique. I absolutely love performing and have a huge passion for teaching children as well. When I’m not geeking out with my camera or flute, I'm probably biking, thrift shopping, watching The Office, going ham at TJ Max, eating sushi, or snuggling with my very fluffy and huge cat, Kit Kat."

wedding nutrition with isagenix nutritionist, sara Richter Our fabulous founder had the amazing opportunity to get one- on one with Isagenix nutritionist, Sara Richter! We learn all about must have stress reducers leading up to the big day and what inspired her to get into nutrition! When it comes to wedding planning what are 3 top nutritional items that should be in a bride's daily routine? "Among everything else that goes into planning a wedding, or the time leading up to the big day, most brides are focused on fitting into their dress and either losing weight or not gaining weight. Because of that, three things that can help nutrition-wise are: having caloriecontrolled, nutrient-dense meal options, on-the-go snacks that are also calorie-controlled and provide filling protein and/or fiber, and vitamin, mineral, and other nutrient support that helps ensure adequate intake that the body needs. By focusing on these leading up to the wedding day, brides can save themselves the frantic dash right before their big day to try to drop 10 pounds by starving themselves or trying some crash diet. It’s much better to make weight control a daily routine rather than a lastminute panic. Plus, they’re likely to feel better because they’re getting good nutrition on a daily basis." What is best to do when your stress levels get high during the wedding process? "Get a punching bag! Kidding, but it’s definitely wise to have go-to stress relief tactics, whether it’s getting regular exercise, doing breathing exercises, talking with a friend, taking a spa day to relax, etc. Here again, good nutrition can help support this process and arm your body with what it needs to handle the stress and not get run down. "
What is your favorite go to nutrition to help you sleep better at night? "It’s not necessarily “nutrition” but my favorite routine includes diffusing lavender essential oil before bedtime to help relax and fall asleep, as well as using a melatonin spray. Melatonin is a hormone that our body makes naturally to regulate sleep and wakefulness, but like other things, natural production reduces with age. There is evidence that shows for some people supplementing with melatonin can help them fall asleep faster and get better sleep overall. Melatonin in a spray application makes it easy to keep the bottle on the nightstand table and right there for immediate use at bedtime."

NEXTonSCENE LATINAS ON THE MOVE Who's NEXT? Norah Salazar @norahlovesmakeup_mua Why hair and make up as a career? "Initially I wanted to just learn to do my own makeup the “right” way, (at the time I was an expatriate in Singapore). The school I chose to learn fundamentals was an intensive course at Make Up Forever Academy. While taking this class, I realized how much I loved the creative process of makeup artistry. We are excited to start sharing Latina's on the Move with a Latina on the move herself, Melina Cortes-Nmili; Founder of lalla bee designs. There is nothing more inspiring then women on the move and with a latina background , Melina wanted to share that there is so much power and growth in the Latina world so FIRST up is Celebrity Makeup Artist, Norah Salazar! Who is Norah Salazar? "I am a makeup artist, a mom and a wife. I work in New York and my journey as a makeup artist began in Singapore ten years ago."
There,I learned to do makeup on Asian women. This was a new aesthetic for me. My mentor at the time, a self taught artist; Liza Haron encouraged me to keep going. This was a pivotal moment in my first year of practice. I was extremely lucky to have wonderful senior artists to assist in a country that was so welcoming to a Latina. As a Latina woman what struggles have you had to face in the business? Finding my own tribe was tough for me initially. I definitely identify and vibe more with Latinas but, the beginning of my career was in Asia. I had to take things in stride and carve my own path. Not going to lie, six years in Singapore definitely played a large influence in the beginning of my career You work with a lot of celebrities, How do you keep grounded?

What advice do you have for little girls and boys who dream with one day having your job? "Train yourself in every facet of the job. Starting from the bottom and understanding lighting, photography and color theory is essential. Know how to work every skin tone/ texture/ age group and carry it with pride. Be a team player, clients will remember you if you have a great attitude on set ." Who is your biggest influence? "The women in my family are my biggest influence. I should also mention having a supportive husband and children has helped me every step of the way. My husband is my number one fan. It didn't matter when I had ten people setting up in our living room for test shoots or had to be gone in London or New York for work related stuff." "I am a jokester at heart, hate small talk and take time to develop a bond. This means once those layers are peeled, I am a girlfriend for life. Loyalty and nobility are everything to me."
"We are all human and I like to see that side in everyone. I really don’t get star struck anymore. At the end of every job, my mission is to make everyone feel great and ready to shine.
