DO YOU EVER FEEL TRAPPED IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP? If so, you’re not alone. I've worked with too many coaches and business owners to count who were just like you over the years. They reported a sense of being trapped in unsatisfied and unhappy relationships from time to time.

Do any of the following strike a chord? You work long hours but never feel admired at home. The more you do your best for your partner, the more it seems nothing is ever enough. You feel like you don’t satisfy your partner. You spend more time dealing with your partner's anger and frustration than enjoying and celebrating together. You feel a lack of intimacy and deep emotional connection. You feel attraction and affection infrequently. You are looking for new ways to rekindle your sex life. You miss the fiery love of when you first met. You feel you need to do something to save your relationship fast. You wish to spend more time growing a happy relationship while making more money and doing what you love.

If so, chances are, you're committing one or more of the ten biggest mistakes I see coaches and business owners make over and over again.

The 7 Laws of Happy Love Follow these seven laws to see your relationships thrive. Ignore them at your peril.

HAPPY LOVE #1 BE CONFIDENT Confidence, faith, and belief are necessary to create happy love or any success in your life. You cannot be satisfied if you lack the confidence to be happy. You cannot build a happy love or achieve your goals without self-trust. Even speaking and acting without conviction drains your power.

HAPPY LOVE #2 THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT The law of cause and effect is the prime law that runs the universe. Every spiritual and scientific teacher has taught this, albeit in different ways.

You reap what you sow. You get what you give. Karma, or what goes around comes around. These and many other similar statements all tell us the same thing. Release guilt. Forgive and let go of your past. Live your life fully with joy, gratitude and kindness. Focus on the here and now.

HAPPY LOVE #3 GIVING AND RECEIVING One of the most extraordinary laws is the law of giving. This phenomenal law is the law of truth. You must give with joy, give freely and happily before you receive. So, always give from the heart, cheerfully. Whatever you provide, whether a physical thing, money, time,

PAGE 6 energy or love, will come back to you in a fantastic way.

HAPPY LOVE #4 CONDITIONS Conditions do not exist. Conditionality is an illusion. Love is first a state of being, which you experience. It is not the other way around. Conditions do not create love. Love creates those conditions. Avoid judging things as right or wrong. Things are just things. Their classification lies in the observer’s reaction to these things. Good or bad, right or wrong, fun or not, wise or stupid. The minute you judge things, you judge yourself. You then block the hidden gifts, kind people and opportunities on their way to you. I recommend practicing selflove by starting with “I am” affirmations to love yourself and others unconditionally. Download your FREE “I AM” AFFIRMATION here: https://jangpimvisat.aweb.pa ge/ebook

HAPPY LOVE #5 HAPPINESS Life is joy; joy is life. Joy is what makes up life. It is the natural state of all beings. It is how we are born as a child, with an innate ability to live life with joy, carefree abandon and pure love. Apply joy to your life, don’t complicate it; just apply it to your love and daily life. If you wish to be happy, cause another to be happy. You are not satisfied because of certain conditions; certain conditions come into being because you are satisfied.

HAPPY LOVE #6 IDENTITY Consciously choose who you want to become. Make a decision. A clear decision helps you reach your goal faster and design who you wish to become. Set your goals for what you want in life. Decide now to be the best version of yourself, make more money, live a healthy and wealthy lifestyle, and have a happy relationship. If not now, when? Get inspired and motivated by the most valuable information from the WORLD’s most successful people. All of them IDENTIFIED themselves before becoming who they are today., Be the first to receive their PRICELESS articles and insights from GEW magazine: www.gewmagazine.com.

HAPPY LOVE #7 ACTIONS Actions are part of Happy Love and success. It’s the laws of the universe. It is essential to know what role actions play and how to use them in creating a healthy and happy love or abundance or anything else. Actions are necessary, for sure. As I mentioned at the beginning, all the information in the world is useless unless you turn it into action steps.

ALESSIA MINKUS, Award-winning entrepreneur and global speaker on having and being a role model

I was born in Italy in a family of entrepreneurs. So, as I grew up, I saw my parents running their own businesses. Unfortunately, nobody taught them how to transition from being an employee through having a great idea to becoming a business owner. There was no one to show them how to think like a business owner, act like a business owner, or show up as a business owner. So, their

businesses got very busy. You might know that pattern as well. First, you start your business with the dream of having more time and more money. Then, a few years later, you find you have less time and very often less money than you would have if you worked for somebody else. So you just built yourself a very demanding job.

THERE WAS NO ONE TO SHOW THEM HOW TO THINK LIKE A BUSINESS OWNER, ACT LIKE A BUSINESS OWNER, OR SHOW UP AS A BUSINESS OWNER.

That's what my parents did. That's what I observed as a young child, so I was not

GEW MAGAZINE| ISSUE 2, 2022 interested in businesses at all. I wanted to do other things like becoming a doctor, a pediatrician, a journalist, whatever.

ON HAVING ROLE MODELS I was lucky enough to have two strong female role models. My grandmother and my mother were entrepreneurs. My grandmother started several businesses. But unfortunately, she had a few patterns we often see with women. She was incredibly talented. She had so many talents, and she was really good with people. So, she was great at building relationships. But she never wholly owned her value in the marketplace. She didn't know how to take her talents and package them into something saleable. So, she sold her services cheaply and created businesses with minimal transactions. As a result, she never became financially abundant enough to take care of her the way she deserved. So, I observed her doing the entrepreneurial thing and struggling.

approved and looked over by him. He generated all the partnerships.

So those were critical role models for me. My mom always said, "If you have a passion, you need to show up. You need to make it happen." She was all about taking action, being heard, and creating something you cared about.

It was a challenging time, and the business was very shaky at that moment. So we held a meeting with my mom and me and a couple of other company executives. Then, finally, somebody said, "We need somebody to take this business over for six months."

ON JUMPING IN AT THE DEEP END Then when I turned 19, my dad had a heart attack. Suddenly, he had to take care of his health and take six months off work. That was unheard-of. Nobody understood how that would work because my dad used to work day and night. That isn't good for business. The business was so reliant on him. He didn't know how to create systems or empower teams. So, everything was about him. Everything went through his desk. We had employees, but everything needed to be

I don't know if you remember how naive you were at 19 years old. I remember, because I raised my hand and said, "That's me. I'm going to do it."

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER HOW NAIVE YOU WERE AT 19 YEARS OLD. I REMEMBER, BECAUSE I RAISED MY HAND AND SAID, "THAT'S ME. I'M GOING TO DO IT."

My second role model was my mom, who ran the company with my dad. We are always an evolution of our parents, and she was definitely an evolution of my grandmother. She took what she learned from her to a whole new level. That's why in partnership with my dad, they were able to create a seven- and eight-figure business over the years. But they didn't understand how to create systems, teams, etc. So, they were always busy. As a result, their relationship suffered from the busyness of the YOUR REGULAR DOSE OF EMPOWERMENT | WWW.GEWMAGAZINE.COM

GEW MAGAZINE| ISSUE 2, 2022 I thought, "how difficult can it be, right? The business is already set up, and I will just need to oversee it for six months and then hand it back to my dad." The reality was very different. It started me on a journey of understanding business. In the beginning, I had no idea what I was doing. Then, I found myself in charge of a 10-million-euro company with all its complexities, dynamics, strategies, and relationships to manage. I had no idea what to do. A few weeks down the line, the business was really spiraling pretty fast. Then I understood that I needed help. So, I started looking for somebody who could teach me. It was a long journey to find the right people. Twenty years ago, finding mentors and role models wasn't easy. People who had taken a business systematized it, skilled it, created teams and empowered them, and developed leaders who could take the company forward. But it was a fantastic journey, and in three years we tripled the business to 30 million euros per year. I learned how to grow the business, and I had fun in the process. I learned that is not enough to

PAGE 12 have passion and make things happen. You need systems as well. You need strategies to turn that passion into something that can create security in your life. If you take care of it, it can make you financially independent for real. If not, you end up running in circles, being super busy and working a lot for very little money. That's why today we teach business owners how to scale because when you grow, you don't need to put in more time. Many business owners are concerned that if they scale their business, it will require more time. It will require more input, etcetera. The fact is, when you learn scaling systems, it doesn't require any more effort. You achieve better results from the same time, the same money, the same attention. I got some of my time back. The business was growing. The brand was established in the marketplace, and then I said, "Well, that's fine, let's do it again." I started another company, another company, and another company in different industries over the years. Many were in hospitality early on, around tourism, because the family started out as tour operators. So, I stayed in the hospitality sector for a long time until I met Kane.

When I met Kane, he was on stage speaking and mentoring, and training business owners. I was in the audience because I planned to start a coaching business in Italy. However, I never started it in the end because Kane and I ended up moving to Australia and starting our first business together just a few weeks later. That was our coaching business. We put our heads together and created our first brand, M&M Global Consulting, Minkus and Marini, my maiden name. We started our first business together, and in just two and a half months, we had it generating eighty thousand dollars per month. That year, we reached the sevenfigure mark immediately. And from there, I got into Industry Rockstar, Kane's live events, and mentoring company. We ran it together to where it was generating eight-figures. And we spent ten years running around the world, traveling to over thirtytwo countries, teaching thousands of business owners every single month of the year. We used creative teams to scale it up. As a result, our online and offline systems have impacted over three million business owners. So, it's been a great ride. It's been enjoyable.

ON FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS' REAL BIGGEST CHALLENGE Do a Google search about the most significant challenges women entrepreneurs face. Lack of confidence will be up there. And there is some truth to that. Men very often are more confident, sometimes even bordering on arrogance. Women are usually more humble. We tend to find it tougher to talk about our achievements. We tend to play more of a community game, instead of being out for ourselves. Those are just some traits we see as general trends. But I think there is something deeper there. I think the lack of confidence is a symptom of a bigger problem. Historically, we haven't had as many female role models. When I started to run my family business and then my other businesses, for a long time, my mentors were men. Not by choice, but because I couldn't find women mentors at that time. We are changing that right now. So future generations will have many more options, which is fantastic. But if we look at the women running businesses today, we grew up in an era where it was harder to find women role models. And the fact is that we women face particular challenges in our personal and professional lives. We are holistic beings. Everything affects everything. So, more women say, "I need a woman who understands what I'm going through and can guide me from that perspective." I remember having the impression that I had to switch off my femininity to become successful in business. Not become a man because I would never be able to become a man, but be more masculine and be more in my masculine energy. Of course, we all have masculine and feminine energy inside of us. And the beauty is when we can integrate and find the power of both. Because different situations may require us to take on a different approach. But for a long time, there was this unspoken assumption that the feminine side was weak, and the masculine side was strong.

We are learning more every day in the entrepreneurial and the corporate worlds about the power of allowing women to use their more potent feminine energy. We see that channeled to create different results in business. Because when we integrate our energies and show up fully as who we are, we become much more powerful. We're more impactful in our businesses, for our corporations, or the companies we work for.

ON HAVING IT ALL Randi Zuckerberg wrote a book about having it all that says pick three. Her theory is that you can have it all, just not all simultaneously. So,

she says, you choose three things you want to

have every day, and then you rotate, and that's how you have it all. And it's a grand theory

But there is something that we have lost as a culture. In our evolution, we used to live more in tribes. We used to have more of a

community. We used to have more of a village that we could count on. And today, we try to have it all alone. . '

IT TAKES A VILLAGE When you become a mom, there is this thing. It takes a village to raise a child. And it does take a village. It's true. But today we often don't have that village. I became a mom in a different country, in a different continent than where my family was, where my friends were. I moved to the United States when I was seven months pregnant. So, by the time my daughter was born, I pretty much knew nobody other than my husband and a few other people. I really got to understand the importance of having that village. That connects with the power of understanding how to ask for help. So often, as women, we feel like we need to take care of everybody. We need to take care of everything ourselves. It's our responsibility to take care of our kids. It's our responsibility to take care of our husbands, our responsibility to take care of the house. We think it's all our responsibility.

PAGE 14 with him too. Kane and I work very well as a team. He has been just amazingly supportive. And I feel that's really important. It doesn't need to be a partner if you don't have a partner. But having people around you who support you and having a community that you can lean on it's essential. Nobody should carry all the responsibility on their shoulders alone. And yet, so often, we find ourselves doing that. I think women can have it all, but just not alone. So, we need to come together. We need to support each other as women. I have some amazing women in my life who support me emotionally. Some really practical, like my babysitters, who are amazing people. I just love them because they help me do something that I wouldn't be able to do without them.

And so, it's friends, family, having people around you, finding your community. Creating those bonds with people you can trust with things, who know you, who you feel are important and sacred. Because when you give your child to somebody to take care of, even just for a few hours, it's a sacred thing. It's such a significant relationship that you build there. And so find those people, family, friends, people you trust, who understand you, that you're on the same level with, who can take away some of the burdens, and you can just support each other. So I feel that it's crucial to having it all. I'm very grateful to Kane because I think our partnership has allowed me to keep going. We homeschool our kids, so I can spend a lot of time with them, yet

We really need to learn to ask for help now. That's one of the things that I think helped me have it all. Having it all means something different for everyone. It was essential for me to be professionally active and passionate about my work. I love my kids, so I wanted to have the time to spend with them, and I wanted to have the time to work. And I love my husband, so I wanted to have the time to be YOUR REGULAR DOSE OF EMPOWERMENT | WWW.GEWMAGAZINE.COM

GEW MAGAZINE| ISSUE 2, 2022 I can make a significant impact and do what I love. It's teamwork.

ON MY WHY During the last ten years running Industry Rockstar with Kane, I've had the chance to organize and speak at over 2000 live events worldwide. I noticed that the speakers were primarily men. It's hard to find women speaking at that level, which needs to change. That's one of the reasons I am so passionate about what we're doing. We need many more women represented on stage. We need women representing different ways of being women-different businesses, ideas, energies. I come from a long history of very talented women who haven't been able to turn those talents into financial abundance financial independence. If I look back in my family history, that has meant for many women to compromise

PAGE 15 and sometimes compromise on things that you should never compromise about. Some stayed in abusive relationships because they didn't feel like they had the means to leave and take care of themselves and their kids. I carry that legacy. So, I feel like I have a responsibility to change that. And then there is another way that is more future-oriented: I have a little daughter. And the moment she was born, I started to think, what world will she live in? And, of course, that's an extensive conversation involving many different areas. But in business, I want her to see a lot of women succeeding, cheering each other up, and collaborating to reach greater heights. And so, I want to be part of creating that world, showing up and doing my part so that she can step into that reality. I want her to grow up surrounded by successful

women sharing their stories, including the ups and downs. Because becoming successful is never a straight line. It's always a messy journey. So, that's what I'm doing now. I just launched a new brand called Deals in Heels, whose mission is to empower women with strategies and tools. I've used these methods and tools in my companies, with many business owners and private clients over the years, helping them get to seven figures and more. And now, I want to share them with more women through this brand.

ON SUCCESS AND VULNERABILITY To be a successful woman today, you need to work on your confidence to be who you are. Of course, I see that in men, too. But when we start a business and begin to work on our brand, we often think we need to show up perfectly to connect with people and create a following. We know we need to find our tribe and believe that we have to seem perfect to be inspirational.

PAGE 16 emotionally. They challenge us and shape us. As a result, we come out of them renewed on some levels and constantly evolve. So complexity is not something we should try to remove from our lives, although it's almost impossible. Instead, we should welcome it and understand how to work with that complexity to create beautiful things. In October 2019, I had just given birth to Liam. I absolutely admire women who go through pregnancy looking fabulous. My body does all weird stuff when I'm pregnant. So, like most new mothers, I wanted to take time off and just focus on my body, to get back into my body on all sorts of levels, not just physically. But, instead, we received a call from our partners in Tel Aviv. They were organizing an event, and they wanted us to partner with them, and they wanted to bring in Tony Robbins. And so, we worked on organizing these events with them in Tel Aviv to bring in Tony. We had the Nokia Stadium in Tel Aviv, hosting fifteen thousand people. And they, of course, invited us to speak there. Kane said, "What do you want to do? I know that it's weird timing, but what do you want to do?"

That couldn't be farther from the truth. People

don't want perfect idols. People follow people they can connect with who are authentic, open, and

share the ups and downs. That takes a lot of work. Sharing that less glamorous side of ourselves. I always say, "You know, life." I recently talked with a friend who is about to

become a mom. She's an amazing woman, doing

great things globally and in business, with a great brand. She was asking me, "How is it?"

I said, "Look, it's the most complex, intense, messy

journey that you can go on. And at the same time, it's the most beautiful and worth it and full of love. And it's beautiful and worth it, not despite the complexities, but because of them."

When we go through difficult times, we often wish

we wouldn't. But those times take us to new places

And I thought about that for a long time. What did I want to do? Did I want to hider? And then I said, "No, I don't want to hide because that's who I am right now, right? So it's part of the ups and downs. Part of the messiness. And so, I ended up flying to Tel Aviv with my threemonth-old baby son and my three-month postpartum self. So I showed up on stage still overweight and in all the messiness of the postpartum phase. I told the audience, "I know you may feel not perfect. I know you may feel like you're not ready. I know you might feel like it's not the right time to do certain things in your business. And I understand you. I mean, I'm standing here in front of you, in front of fifteen thousand people, in a way that I don't feel comfortable either. If I could have chosen the time, this is not the time I would have preferred to show up in front of fifteen thousand people. I wouldn't say I was ready for that right now. But this was the time,

GEW MAGAZINE| ISSUE 2, 2022 and I decided to show up. Not for me, but for you to show you the impact you make. You know, it's not about you. It's really not about yourself. It's about the people that you're going to inspire. It's about the people you're going to empower with the systems and stories that you share." They loved that. It was an intimate moment with the audience. That's the most important thing we need to learn. People want to understand who we are for real. They love it when we show up authentically, share what is going on for us, and be vulnerable. Brené Brown has a unique, fantastic line of work leading with vulnerability. I believe that is one of the most important things we need to learn. Vulnerability is not weakness. Vulnerability brings us together and allows us to connect on a whole different level. It takes so much courage to really be vulnerable in front of other people, especially if we talk about business in front of our market and our clients. But, being authentically us requires vulnerability, and being vulnerable requires taking risks.

PAGE 17 That was an important

message for me. And a lesson to learn. It takes practice, just

like everything. But I think that that really makes a big difference.

ON BEING A MENTOR That's why mentors are there.

The idea is to shorten the gap between where you are and

where you want to be. When

you work with somebody that

has already done it, it's just like asking someone who has

already gone somewhere

physically where you want to go. They can give you

directions and make sure you don't get lost.

That's the mission we are on as advisors. That's what we're

passionate about, taking our experience and all the

experiences of the people that

we work with and transferring it to new business owners. To

make sure they can actually get there.

A long time ago, when I started out, someone told me, "You never want to be the smartest person in the room. You always want to be the dumbest person in the room." I was only in my twenties, and I didn't really understand it, but I started to do it. So one thing I have going for me is that if I hire a coach or work with or admire somebody, and if they say to do something, I'm going out and doing it. And so, I did it. I didn't understand the depth of that advice, but I started doing it. When you put yourself in rooms where you are the dumbest, sometimes you are in rooms that you are not really ready for. And so, I found myself observing conversations I wasn't prepared for, and I didn't totally understand. I couldn't really contribute, but I could learn so much from that. I've kept doing it. I am always looking for people who know more than me, have done more than me, and have pushed the envelope more.

And so, it requires courage and being brave. So, I had to work on that for a long time. When I started speaking, one of my mentors used to tell me, "You can't be so guarded on stage. You know, it's not about being perfect. It's about being you. They don't want some sort of fake perfect person. They want a real person that is you, and they want to understand who you are." GEW MAGAZINE| ISSUE 2, 2022 We all need to learn from a variety of people. And so, I've had several mentors in my life. I work with them in different capacities. I'm grateful for each of them because creating success has so many faces. And the journey is creating success the way you want it. I know people who identify success as being home with their kids while the business runs itself. Other people identify success as traveling around and meeting people; others see it as having big teams. It's different for everybody. So, every mentor I've had in my life and every mentor I will have helps you figure out one piece of the puzzle because the journey is never-ending. But you need many of them to put all that beautiful puzzle together. To this day, both Kane and I are constantly engaging with mentors and advisers. Whether it's on something specific that we want to achieve or in more extensive conversations, we always want to work with people and surround ourselves with people who do interesting things or have done something that we want to achieve so that they can help us and get there.

PAGE 18 to my lifestyle. But when I look at what I bring home, it's really not much."

ON NEW DIRECTIONS Just before the pandemic, I had my second child, my little boy, who is two-and-a-half-yearsold now. And then the pandemic hit, and everything changed. So, we stopped running around the world and created home studios. We have a couple of studios in our office that we can use to run events. So, I mostly took some time off during the pandemic to be with my kids. It was a difficult time for them as well. The world was changing so much. When I decided to get back into business, many things had changed. So I decided I should really check in with myself to see if I want to go back the same way or what I want to do now? A powerful passion emerged, which has always been there.

That was mentoring women and helping women understand how to grow their businesses and scale them.

But we were so busy running

and growing the business and

the brand that I thought I would do that at some point. Because in the past, women-led

businesses were actually a

minority. That is changing. There are more and more women

starting their businesses every day.

And yet, if we look at the

percentage of women reaching the seven-figure mark in their

business, it's tiny. It's just a few

percentage points. That needs to change.

We need to empower women. In the last two years, We have

seen a massive trend in the marketplace. Women are

looking for female role models, mentors, coaches, advisors.

And so that's what Deal in Heels

is all about, mentoring women in business,

It takes courage to raise your hand and say, "I need help." So often, we try to look perfect, and we try to look good. We try to say, "I got it, I got it. I can do it all. I know what to do. I know how to do it. I will make it happen." And then it doesn't happen because it's challenging to do it all by yourself. That's why we hear so many business ownsers saying, a few years in, "I hoped by now it would have made more of a difference YOUR REGULAR DOSE OF EMPOWERMENT | WWW.GEWMAGAZINE.COM
