Dad dies in ticket row BENIDORM BUSINESSMAN Raymond Reula died shortly after a bad tempered argument over ticket prices to one of the resort’s top events, it was claimed this week.
by Jack Troughton THE FATHER-OF-TWO and owner of the 3C’s Nursing Agency was allegedly struck at the Space nightclub during a heated dispute over the cost of attending last weekend’s Electro Beach Festival. A 50-year-old man has been charged with involuntary homicide – manslaughter – and released on bail. A post-mortem revealed Ray, 34, suffered a broken neck. Family and friends yesterday (Thursday) attended a funeral service for Ray. He was later buried at a family plot in Finestrat dressed in his beloved Liverpool FC strip. On Thursday evening last week the emergency services were called to his Benidorm
home after the alarm was raised by his wife Clare. Ray, who leaves two-year-old son Lucas and one-year-old daughter Sienna, returned home and complained of feeling unwell and had gone to lie down but was later found “unresponsive” as the alarm was raised. TICKET Ray’s mother Sue Reula told RTN how Ray went to buy tickets for the event at a bank ATM through the Ticket Master system. Unfortunately, the machine was out of order and he was advised by bank staff to go to Space. He drove to the club with a friend. Continued on page 6
