IT WAS maintained Spanish police should use European laws to bring the pair back to the Costa Blanca to face justice. Jane and Hans Lentz imported Finnish-made wooden homes as specialists ‘Lentssons’ to construct on land for customers and also sold houses on the ‘Lentssons over 50s Resort’ at La Xara. But many homes failed to arrive despite many clients paying in advance and the resort folded over unpaid rent and where residents lost their homes under a court order. Richard and Barbara Herriott won two court cases against the couple over the 80,000€ - once at Denia Court and again in Valencia after Jane Lentz appealed. Promised compensation, interest and their legal
costs, they have yet to receive a cent. “I do think the legal authorities should chase this up,” Richard told RTN. After all we are told it is all one Europe now. There are extradition treaties and we are not the only court cases she has lost. “When they lost the appeal they just up stakes and scooted out of the country – they jumped ship and disappeared. I do think the Spanish authorities need a kick up the backside over this one.” However, the Lentz’s were said to have “ruined the lives” of scores of people across the Costa Blanca and inland while pocketing a fortune. “From the people we know who were affected, losses could be nudging a million Euros,” said Richard. “It all adds up, a 100,000€ here and there.
