MANY OF this mandate’s 25 councillors have decided not to stand for re-election with one major surprise being the popular CLR councillor Pedro Mancebo. With Pedro not contesting for a seat, both he and party spokesperson Ray Kearney give their take on what the future might hold for the municipality. Ray has been deeply involved in Orihuela politics for the last six years but is not affiliated with any political party contesting these elections. All of the other seven parties will be eliminated.” Continued on page 9.
