RUBBISH
The National Police from Madrid, Valencia and Alicante spent Tuesday morning search-
ing the offices of the Diputación in Alicante and the home of Snr Ripoll, the highest member of the PP in Alicante. RTN understands that the allegations are that he, along with other senior PP Councillors, received backhanders from a company granted the rubbish collection tender for Orihuela. As well as Orihuela Town Hall, officers simultaneously searched the offices of Inusa SL, owned by Enrique Ortiz, a well known entrepreneur and the largest shareholder of newly promoted La Liga football team, Hercules, in Alicante. His company is responsible for the change of usage plans for the Rico Perez land in Alicante, which would see its value increase to €55 million. According to reports, following the search of his offices, Ortiz later voluntarily handed himself in to agents in Pamplona and was immediately transferred back to Alicante for questioning. continued on page 3
