Wishing Louise a speedy recovery LOUISE CLARKE is one of the Costa Blanca’s most respected media personalities; not just for writing for RTN but also her work with radio and local television. by Keith Nicol
Unfortunately, a few weeks ago Louise started to feel fatigued and was suffering from headaches, so was admitted to Torrevieja Hospital for observation and tests. Since then she has been receiving treatment and it’s hoped by one and all that she’ll make a full recovery as soon as possible. Meanwhile, family, friends, media colleagues, the British Consul and staff, local Mayors, politicians and those that she has touched with her work as a journalist for RTN, have all passed on their best wishes and prayers to Louise. Louise started working for RTN in 2007 and has built up a well earned reputation as a local journalist. Never one to shirk controversy, she has long fought for the rights of the underdog, especially for those who felt that the pages of the RTN might be their last hope in bringing to light important community problems, conflicts with property developers, politicians and what might be termed, ‘injustice’. She is also a great supporter of local associations and charities and had just returned from a work trip to Benidorm after which she commented on “feeling exhausted.” Louise had not shown any signs of illness until without any warning,
she suffered a blackout. She sensibly decided to seek the advice of her doctor and was admitted to Torrevieja Hospital where she has since been undergoing treatment. Continued on page 6
