eruption in Iceland, which effectively closed down European airspace for six days. The returning Brits were understandably eager to get on the buses in order to make the journey back to their various home towns and many of them understood why the ban had been enforced. However,
after six days of disruption, one traveller commented: “I do think that the authorities have been over zealous with their reaction to the situation and the airlines, without a doubt, have been under zealous with the amount of help and information given.� Continued on page 3
