Camp Locations
Dear Parents, We are so excited to be offering our summer day camp program in Brooklyn Heights and on the Upper West Side again this year! We welcome all girls entering grades 2 through 5 -- both current members and those new to Girl Scouts.
Brooklyn Heights Plymouth Church 75 Hicks Street Brooklyn, NY 11201
Join us this summer as our campers spend their days exploring the “great outdoors” in amazing spaces that are “uniquely NYC.” Through sailing, rock climbing, treasure hunting, project-based activities, hands-on community service projects, and more, girls will be learning about the environment and developing S.T.E.A.M. skills related to a weekly theme. Campers will gain valuable leadership skills: practicing teamwork, taking risks, and trying new things. Team up with the Girl Scouts this summer and join in on the fun!
Sincerely,
Upper West Side

Trips Each week, your girl will go on at least three trips. We work closely with partner organizations to create unique, customized adventures filled with excitement, discovery, and fun. We take great pride in ensuring that your girl will be outside, exploring, and experiencing nature the majority of her time at camp.
S.T.E.A.M. S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) is vital to every activity in the camp’s curriculum. Campers are challenged every day to work together on projects within one or all five of these areas – whether building water purifiers from natural elements, creating an experimental art installation, or inventing a new product!
Service Service and leadership are essential to the Girl Scouts’ mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Every Friday, campers participate in a community service project using the skills and knowledge they have gained throughout the week. Projects range from building oyster homes on the Hudson River or recording data about trees in the community, to making dog toys for local animal shelters.

Camp has been an essential part of Girl Scouting since our founding over 100 years ago. Every summer, Girl Scout campers enjoy the health benefits of getting active outdoors, while building a strong connection to nature. This makes girls more likely to become advocates for the environment in the future. Spending time in nature not only benefits girls, but the Earth as well.
Badge Activity
With guidance from counselors, girls lead their own hands-on activities in small groups and work to earn the Girl Scout badge of the week.
10-3pm
Exploration Time Every day girls get outside, try new activities, and visit unique places throughout the city, including sailing, visiting rooftop gardens, and parks.
High-quality programming with a competitive price tag.
3pm-4:30pm
Collaborations with organizations including the North Brooklyn Boat Club, the Parks Department’s Urban Rangers, New York Hall of Science and others, allow girls to explore the city and discover the natural world through experiential learning. Girls also learn to lead by working in teams and giving back to their communities through weekly service projects. They also feel a strong sense of accomplishment as they earn a Girl Scout badge at the end of each week.
