Congratulations, Girl Scouts!

Earning the Silver Award is no easy feat any year, but this year we celebrate 56 New York City Girl Scouts who persevered through remarkable circumstances to make an impact during a time the world needed it most.

Here at Girl Scouts of Greater New York, we strive to support Girl Scouts in building courage, confidence, and character, and in making the world a better place. The remarkable young people we celebrate this evening are shining examples of these ideals.

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn.

Through the process of earning the Silver Award, Girl Scouts develop leadership skills by researching, planning, and implementing a 50-hour Take Action project that addresses an issue of their choice. The commitment, confidence, and skills these Girl Scouts displayed has put them on the path to Gold Award success.
