Troop Training Bonus
Troops can request a $20 bonus after completing the FIVE essential GSNYPENN trainings: Leader Orientation (in-person), Leadership Essentials (gsLearn), First Aid/ CPR, Simply Successful Overnights and Simply Successful Camping. The Troop Training Bonus request can be found at gsnypenn.org/forms.
Simply Successful Overnights (SSO): Blended COST: Free Get ready to take your troop on overnight trips. SSO prepares participants for planning and facilitating a safe overnight Girl Scout experience; such as a lock-in, hotel or home sleepover. Webinar workshop does not include camping overnight and is a pre-requisite for Simply Successful Camping (SSC).
Simply Successful Camping (SSC) COST: $25 Your troop has completed an overnight and now you’re ready for camping! It’s time to take SSC and learn to plan and facilitate a safe group experience outdoors. Prepare meals using various methods, practice knife-safety, fire building and more. Pre-requisites: SSO and one group overnight experience. *Optional overnight.
American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Blended COST: $35 Get certified with this American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED blended learning skills session. A four-hour online portion will need to be completed prior to the skills session.
American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED COST: $35 Get certified with the American Heart Association Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED session. This is a full hands-on class with no online portion.
