It’s February school break, spend some time tubing! Put on your winter gear and head to Dry Hill. Cost includes tubing, fee will be collected on-site. Reduced fee is for registered Girl Scouts only. Frost is in the air, and fire is fueling our day. Keep warm by snowshoeing the trails to find signs of animals and play tracking games in the snow. While on our adventures, we’ll have hot chocolate on the trail! Then we’ll head inside to have lunch. Venture back outside to finish the day by a warm campfire toasting the perfect marshmallow for your s’more. Our craft for the day will be making an ice candle. *Please pack a lunch, water bottle and be sure to dress for the weather. We’ll be going outside throughout the day. Not ready to go home? Spend the night at camp for an additional $10 per person. Dinner and breakfast will be included. Enjoy more outdoor fun before departing at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Juliette Program Being a Juliette is a great way to customize your Girl Scout journey!

Being in a troop is only one way to participate in Girl Scouts. When a troop is unavailable in your area, your troop no longer meets, or you’ve got too much going on with school, sports and other extracurricular activities— being a Juliette (aka an individually registered girl member) might be the right fit for you!

As a Juliette, you design your program and progress at your own pace. Choose from a variety of council and partner programs. Adventure Centers! at our Hoover Conveniently located in Tully, NY (just off of Interstate 81), Hoover’s open layout makes it a great property for first-time campers. Along the shore of Song Lake, this property has facilities for waterfront activities (swimming, boating, fishing) and a full archery range for girls to test their skills. While there are a few cabin and tent units, Hoover’s spacious grounds also has two Troop Houses with heating and water for any groups looking to hold an overnight stay in winter. NEW for 2020: shooting range with pavilion! Comstock Comstock is located in Ithaca, NY, along the shores of Cayuga Lake. With nearly two miles of lakefront, the property offers a wide variety of water activities and a beautiful location to enjoy the sun. Comstock is home to our uniquely arranged cabin units nestled in the hillside, giving you wonderful views and a feeling of being among the trees. Hikers along the trails will also find our waterfall and rare American chestnut trees pleasing. NEW for 2020: Malala Yousafzai Lodge! Trefoil Trefoil is located northeast of Watertown, NY, on the outskirts of the gorgeous Adirondack Park. It is one of our woodsier properties, complete with private Snyder Lake. Trefoil is the center for our council’s best adventure activities. In addition to an open archery range, frisbee golf course, and waterfront for boating, swimming or fishing, Trefoil is home to the council’s only adventure ropes course. Four A-frame units with canvas tent entryways, a canvas Yurt and two buildings are available to rent. Each A-frame has its own latrine and hand wash station and is available yearround (note: no heat or water in winter). Amahami Tucked in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains in Deposit, NY, Amahami has landscape providing campers access to steep hiking trails, flat open areas and a gorgeous waterfront. Girls will develop their tripping, paddling and outdoor cooking skills throughout the course of the trip. If time allots, we will also climb Bear Mountain. Adults are not required, but are welcome to join along. This trip works towards the Outdoor Journey.

Join us for a day trip to Lake Placid for a guided rock climbing adventure by Eastern Mountain Sports professional guides. Depart in a van from Trefoil on Sunday morning and return to camp in the evening. Optional overnight Saturday night at Trefoil available. This is a drop-off program, with the exception of one adult spot. This adult will assist with supervision, but will also participate in the climbing. Climbing Adventure badge included.
