After 30 years as president of the Maleny Show Society, Ivan Hankinson retired from the position at the annual general meeting held last Tuesday.

The Show Society is eternally grateful to Ivan for his years of service and the passion he has shown for the showgrounds and the community.

The new executive committee is president - Winston Johnston, vice presidents - Col Sinclair and Tanya Pratten, treasurer - Karen Lusk and secretary - Lois White.

Tanya Pratten, Karen Lusk and Lois White were re-elected to their positions and they welcomed the new president and vice president to their roles.

Although Ivan has stepped down as commander and chief, he will remain on the committee and part of the show organisation.
