ANIMAL FARM PRESENTED BY SHAKE & STIR THEATRE CO & GLASSHOUSE PORT MACQUARIE
Friday 15 February, 8pm Phenomenally good. Magnificently, ridiculously, fabulously good… Animal Farm went down as one of the finest new pieces of theatre in Queensland.” Brisbane Times, August 2012 Animal Farm, one of the most controversial and studied political commentaries arrives in a brand new production combining physical theatre and storytelling. George Orwell’s simple yet intensely powerful fairytale illustrates how greed and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Animal Farm promises to be one of the most shocking, exciting, relevant and wickedly funny theatre events in 2013 – don’t miss it! Warning: Contains mild language and adult themes.

In each scene the audience is invited behind the visual trickery, to witness the making of the shadow puppet melodramas. Warning: Some scenes may frighten very young children. We recommend 7+

COASTAL FRAGMENTS: WAYNE WILSON
GALLERY
8 February – 10 March 2013 In this exhibition, Wayne Wilson has responded to the fleeting, half-seen movements and constant changes observed along our coastline. Wilson’s recent artwork has been influenced in both a subliminal and direct manner by his immediate environment as well as contemporary and historical ideas. The artworks are more than records or notations of place and time, they also incorporate personal symbols, crosses and ovals, within a context of compositional challenges and play. NEIL FRAZER 8 February – 10 March 2013 Neil Frazer captures the epic and awe-inspiring experience of landscape in his large scale paintings. The dichotomy of textured luscious paint and crisp white surfaces creates a tension that captures the very essence of a vast terrain. Frazer transforms the sublime landscape into an almost abstract notion through his painterly and impasto surfaces. There is a masculine quality to the works that echo the rawness of the natural environment. The Glasshouse Regional Gallery would like to acknowledge Martin Browne Contemporary for their support with this exhibition.
