Don Quixote, a retired gentleman travels the roads of Spain searching for glory and grand adventure. Accompanying him is a somewhat bewildered labourer named Sancho Panza who he has persuaded to accompany him as his faithful squire. In return, Don Quixote promises to make Sancho the wealthy governor of an island. Don Quixote gives up food, shelter and comfort all in the name of a peasant woman Dulcinea del Toboso who he envisions as a princess. Don Quixote was first performed in Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre in 1869. Since then it has been performed all over the world by Russian and international ballet companies. Tickets*

In this intense two-day workshop, participants will move from drawing to painting with a particular focus on mixed media. Using drawing and painting techniques, thinking about composition, mark making, and materiality, students will begin to work in a series through the use of oils, acrylics, inks, crayon, oil sticks, collage, and other mediums. Tuesdays: 6 May - 17 June 3.45pm - 5.15pm (Senior Primary Students Yrs 4 - 6) Wednesdays: 7 May - 18 June 3.45pm - 5.15pm (Junior High School Students Yrs 7 - 9) This seven week after school workshop program is designed for students who are interested in developing confidence and improving their creative skills. Students will explore techniques of drawing including line, tone, scale and composition in a series of fun afternoon workshops. Using a variety of drawing materials, students will develop new techniques and feel confident in creative approaches to drawing. Cost: $160 per child. Limited places.
