The Glenbrook Valley Civic Club's Annual Meeting was held on January 16. The slate of Officers and Directors for 2014 were elected. Their names and numbers are listed on the first page of this newsletter. The Honorable Judge Jo Ann Delgado, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, Position 1 joined us to install our new officers. She again did a fantastic job and we certainly enjoyed visiting with her. Thank you, Judge, for your continued support of Historic Glenbrook Valley!

Codes and Ordinances for the City of Houston, Chapter 6, Article IV Dogs & Cats The chapter of the Code of Ordinances regarding dogs and cats was amended in 2013 to better address responsibilities of pet ownership. We're going to be sharing various sections of the ordinance that affect our neighborhood. If you would like to read the ordinance in its entirety go to the City of Houston web page and search "codes and ordinances." Article 4 of chapter 6 deals with dogs and cats.

Special Azalea Recognition March is generally the month for azaleas! It’s unfortunate that their blooming period is so short. Glenbrook Valley Civic Club will recognize outstanding azalea gardens in our April newsletter. Since the blooming varies from bush to bush, and the weather is unpredictable, there is no set date for recognition. The "bloom" will be the determiner. A huge "THANK YOU" to our neighbors that volunteer their time to be the "Azalea Observers!"
