MCC vs MGC Golf Day
“Speak Their Names” by Silvia Cassini
The annual MCC vs MGC Golf Day took place in October, hosting over 100 golfers from both Clubs in a friendly format of Stableford Greensomes, played at the ever-green Muthaiga Golf Club. Defending holders of the Centenary Trophy Muthaiga Golf Club, emerged victorious once again with 386 points, while MCC trailed by 21 points finishing with a total of 365 points. Overall Winners were the MGC team of James Ondigo & Rose Catherine on 44 points, while the Runners-Up were MCC Team Christina Engell Andersen & Jonathan Munge with 42 points. Afterwards the golfers enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and prize-giving in the MCC Ballroom.
MCC was delighted to stage the world premiere of Member and award-winning playwright, Silvia Cassini’s new play, “Speak their Names”. The play, starring leading Kenyan actors including Brian Ogola, Nini Wacera and Nixsa Shah, opened to a full-house on both nights, to huge acclaim. MCC Chairman Philip Coulson and Silvia held a Q&A session after the opening night performance. They are pictured above on the set of “Speak their Names”.

One of MCC’s most beloved Christmas events for old and young Members to all come together is the Christmas Carol Service. This year was a particularly vocal and joyful occasion with our inimitable comperes Steve Mills and Mike Craig conducting affairs. Singing together all our favourite carols, the evening was a festive and happy one for families. Overall Runners-Up - MCC Team Jonathan Munge & Christina Engell Andersen with MGC Chairman Ronald Meru. 6
