highlights • Lerwick • Klaksvík • Tórshavn • Kirkwall • Tobermory

Experience the beauty of Norway with gems such as cosmopolitan Bergen, set amongst seven hills with medieval houses and colonnaded shops lining the cobbled streets and a funicular train taking visitors to the summit of Mount Floyen.

The long summer days of June are the perfect time to explore Iceland. Akureyri is home to Earth’s most northerly botanic gardens whilst isolated Isafjordur is a nature lover’s paradise. Reykjavik, the capital, has a charming old town and the Imagine Peace Tower. Add on stops at Tórshavn, as well as Lerwick and Kirkwall and you have a truly inspiring cruise.

This midsummer sailing combines stunning coastal scenery with historyladen towns and picture postcard villages. Lerwick, county town of the Shetlands boasts Clickimin Broch and Jarlshof, one of the most remarkable archaeological sites ever excavated. Tórshavn, capital of the far flung Faroes would still be recognisable to its early Viking settlers whilst Kirkwall is your gateway to the Standing Stones of Stenness as well as Skara Brae - a Stone Age settlement that predates the pyramids. Finally, Tobermory on the Isle of Mull features pretty pastel-painted harbourside houses.
