Adding value and benefits with Addverb’s services and technologies
Micro-Fulfillment Centres (MFCs) have catapulted to the fore in a post-pandemic logistics era In the current post-Covid landscape, consumers have grown accustomed to the convenience provided by online shopping, prompting the market to shift towards faster service. To meet these expectations and tackle intense market competition, businesses are making use of the strategic advantages offered by Micro-Fulfilment Centres (MFCs), whose operations are fuelled and made functional by technologies powered by companies such as Addverb.

ddverb, the fast-growing Global Robotics and Technologies Company, prides in its sophisticated systems and solutions that automate intralogistics operations and makes businesses future-ready. Its technology applications are extensive and includes Warehouse Automation, AGV, AMR, Sorting, Robots, conveyors, industrial automation, Racking, WMS, warehouse management systems, warehouse Software, warehouse tracking, ASRS, Automated Stacker cranes, shuttles, pallet shuttles, pick to light, put to light, Mobile robotics and more! There is now a major focus on MFCs as the nucleus and core of E-commerce and supply chain functions and operations. Related technologies are also rapidly evolving and getting increasingly sophisticated. Addverb, a recognised brand name, is in the forefront empowering and enabling the industry with its proprietary solutions and technologies.
MFCs are highly automated small and medium-scale warehouses, designed to manage thousands of SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and deliveries per day, using advanced technologies such as robotics and intelligent software solutions. These micro-distribution centres are installed in strategic locations inside cities or can even be implemented in existing supermarket setups, enabling a hyper-local function compared to out-of-city warehouses. By locating these facilities closer to their end customers, retailers can reduce the pick-up and last-mile delivery costs and time, which are some of their main challenges. Their easy deployment through pre-engineered automation allows for quicker implementation and a faster go-tomarket strategy. Addverb’s stack of global warehouse automation solutions are revolutionizing the e-commerce, e-grocery, and the retail industry with the deployment of customised automated systems to ensure
MFCs maximise profitability with more usage. The leading robotics company addresses the growing demand for efficient and fast order fulfilment with advanced Goods-To-Person automation solutions, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), picking technologies, and Warehouse Management and Execution Software solutions. Running fully automated MFCs equipped with sorting, picking, and packing systems to dispatch orders within a few hours are becoming increasingly the norm. Mobile robots that can quickly move products, high-speed sorting robots which can accurately sort and consolidate orders, and intelligent software that can predict consumer behaviour, form the backbone of these fulfilment centres. The modular nature of these automation solutions enables MFCs to have high

storage density, using the cubic volume of space while occupying a very small floor space. “Our emphasis is on optimising the intralogistics processes to improve order fulfilment, ensuring that products are delivered in a timely manner. With compact storage solutions as well as faster multiline sorting and picking that are crucial for profitability, Micro-Fulfilment Centres allow retailers to streamline their operations, reduce costs, and enhance their overall supply chain performance,” affirmed Varun Visruthan, Branch Manager, Middle East, Addverb, speaking to Global Supply Chain.
Partnership By partnering with manufacturers and suppliers of fully automated fulfilment solutions that combine both hardware and software, retailers, grocers, and specialised MFC providers can take advantage of the rapid delivery expectations without worrying about incomplete orders or oversights. Addverb uses a thoughtful design thinking process to study the existing operations and identify unique requirements for each business, observed Visruthan. A robust software solution monitoring the automation systems in an MFC also facilitates predictive analytics. Collected data can ensure timely restocking of indemand items by providing retailers with useful insights into consumer behaviour and online purchase patterns. A network of MFCs functioning altogether through AI-powered warehouse software enables real-time order management and smooth flow of operations, giving businesses a competitive edge in their industry. As the e-commerce industry continues to grow after the pandemic, MFCs are playing a key role in ensuring that retailers can keep up with market demand. Addverb’s advanced automation solutions provide a unique and innovative edge for businesses looking to stay ahead of the competition.

Sorting Robots to address challenges in the E-commerce Sector The benefits of high-speed sorting robots to streamline order sortation demonstrated
T
he benefits of high-speed sorting robots to streamline order sortation demonstrated. With the growing e-commerce trend in the Middle East, businesses encounter numerous challenges in maintaining efficient order fulfilment processes. High volumes, super-fast delivery expectations, returns management, smaller order sizes, and so on, all require careful attention and continuous adjustments. As a result, professionals across industries recognise the importance of streamlining intralogistics operations with advance technology to keep up with changing market dynamics. The use of robotics in warehouses is now the key to achieving fast, accurate, and efficient order consolidation.
WMS “With high uncertainty about expected orders and volumes, sorting robots are an affordable and scalable alternative to traditional sorting systems. Addverb is a global provider of end-to-end warehouse automation solutions, with an extensive portfolio comprising of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), picking technologies, and Warehouse Management and Execution Software solutions,” explained Pieter Feenstra, CEO EMEA, Addverb, in comments made to Global Supply Chain. “Our robotics company helps businesses overcome their intralogistics challenges related to productivity concerns, storage utilisation, operational cost efficiency, inventory management, and material handling,” he added.
Affordable and Scalable Companies mainly active in e-commerce, retail, and parcel distribution are seeking affordable and scalable sorting solutions. These sectors have recorded exponential growth over the past few years. Due to changes in market requirements and a shortage of staff, they are forced to automate or robotise their manual processes. However, uncertainty about future volumes prevents them from making large investments. “If you are at 40,000 or 50,000 sorting per hour, you can easily work with a traditional cross belt sorter. However, if you currently do no more than 2,000 sorting per hour and are not sure whether the forecasts of 15,000 sorting per hour will come true in five years’ time, it is better to use robots,” asserted Feenstra. “It is possible to start with a small number of robots, perhaps on a larger field, and add robots every year. Expanding a robotic system is much faster and easier than it is with a traditional sorting system,” he continued
Reliable and Efficient Addverb provides sorting solutions using small, adaptable, and high-speed robots operating in a closed area. The army of fast-moving robots, based on collision avoidance technology, runs by reading grid-based ground markers to perform route-wise sorting operations. The process is completely automated, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy.
The central Fleet Management System (FMS), seamlessly integrated with Addverb’s Warehouse Control System (WCS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS), prevents the robots from colliding or interfering with each other. An operator puts an item on the robot, which directly carries it to the right destination linked to the customer who ordered it.
Flexible and Modular The main advantage of a solution with sorting robots is its flexibility and modularity. By using additional robots, the sorting capacity can easily be increased. The solution can be adjusted according to the warehouse layout, as robots can drive around avoiding obstacles. If the warehouse ever becomes too small, relocating the robots is a hassle-free process: all that needs to be done is placing new ground markers. In fact, the implementation time is usually limited to about four months. When it comes to service and maintenance, robots are easily interchangeable. When one needs to be taken off the grid, the entire system can still be fully operational. In response to the evolving demands of the Middle East’s thriving e-commerce sector, advanced sorting robots are emerging as a solution to improve the efficiency of the order fulfilment process. By offering adaptability to changing order volumes, ensuring reliability, and easily integrating into warehouse layouts, sorting robots pave the way for streamlined intralogistics operations in this dynamic market.

New-Gen Intralogistics: Automated warehouses with advanced software and smart robots Optimising Warehouse operations with fixed and flexible Automation powered by AI-based software solutions
T
he Global supply chain sector has faced major disruptions due to various factors like market fluctuations, changing consumer behaviours, and social conflicts. The surge in e-commerce during the pandemic increased order volumes and returns, while delivery expectations shifted to 24 hours. Businesses now handle individual item orders instead of shipping pallets of goods. All these factors have placed intralogistics processes at the centre of business strategies. To anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions, companies must adapt their supply chains and streamline their intralogistics operations. Warehouses and distribution centres are no longer solely focused on cost optimisation; they must also be agile and resilient to stay competitive. As a leading provider of end-to-end warehouse automation systems, Addverb manufactures and delivers comprehensive intralogistics solutions covering inbound to outbound processes such as storage, material handling, picking, and sorting.
Combining flexible with fixed systems With a wide range of automated systems and by combining flexible (such as Autonomous Mobile Robots), with fixed systems (such as pallets or carton Shuttles), powered by an advanced Software Suite, Addverb designs highly customised solutions catering to specific business and market needs.

The flexibility of mobile automation allows businesses to adapt to rather uncertain scenarios, while fixed automation is suitable for more predictable flows. The most important thing is to find the right balance between both forms of automation that best suits the challenges a company faces. On top of that, modular software allows businesses to focus on a data-centric approach while managing intralogistics operations. The collected data provides insights into all phases of the process from goods arrival and storage allocation to order picking and dispatch, including inventory and flow management.
Data driven decisions This approach allows companies to make data-driven decisions and improve their operations, making them more efficient and responsive to changes in the market. As automation solutions are accessible

and adaptable to equipment and buildings of all sizes and types, businesses can optimise their existing space in a cost-effective manner and expand the operations when needed to scale with the company’s growth. On one hand, automation systems should be compatible with the existing infrastructure and integrate seamlessly with the equipment in place. On the other hand, the business should still operate while implementing new systems in the facility, to minimise disruptions to production.
Focus on flexibility With a focus on flexibility and scalability, companies can adjust the size of their solutions according to the market demand and gain immediate benefits while planning for future expansion. Automated intralogistics systems address supply chain challenges such as the growing volume of orders, super-fast delivery requirements,
high numbers of returns, smaller order sizes, and so on. These parameters are examined and anlayzed through smart automation, fitting companies from a variety of industries including e-commerce, retail, fashion, consumer goods, F&B, e-grocery, pharma, automotive, and others. Partnering with an end-to-end automation solution provider ensures that all aspects of the intralogistics flow are covered. By thoroughly analysing and understanding the customer’s processes and main pain points, designing automation solutions based on specific business needs and challenges while incorporating the latest technologies. In addition to installing and running the automated systems and providing full technical after-sales support, Addverb provides total solutions that maximise efficiency, reliability, and accuracy in intralogistics operations.

SAVOYE EXCLUSIVE AT GITEX 2023
Providing cutting-edge Warehouse Automation and Management Systems Savoye and InCube’s partnership advance digital transformation by offering creative and adaptable solutions
AI and Machine Learning play a critical role in shaping strategies for businesses across diverse industries by improving decision-making, automating operations and providing valuable insights in the business of logistics and supply chain.
M
achine Learning (ML) will be the preferred tool for forecasting issues or more generally for learning based on structured data, operational research for optimization issues, reinforcement learning for autonomous learning of behaviours and deep learning for language, text, image, video and audio processing issues, affirmed Alain Kaddoum, Managing Director, Savoye Miidle East, in an exclusive interview with Global Supply Chain on the sidelines of the recently concluded GITEX 2023 in Dubai. Also joining Kaddoum in this joint interview at the Savoye-InCube Stand were his colleagues Anas Hammoudeh, Regional Software Sales Manager, Savoye, and Victorien Grandguillaume, Software Partnerships Manager, Savoye, Lyon, France. 18 NOVEMBER 2023
general and the logistics and supply chain sectors in particular? Alain Kaddoum (AK): AI covers all the algorithmic techniques allowing software to simulate a complex reflection, with a view to offering a user assistance that is at least as efficient as that of a human. We are no strangers to this technology; we regularly experiment with it through applications equipped with user assistance modules integrating AI algorithms. Spam email detection, facial recognition for unlocking smartphones, or automatic photo categorization, along with automatic content proposals by video or music applications are just some of the examples that we encounter daily. The designers of these applications are data scientists. Their goal is to collect and analyse information to transform it into decision-making support tools. Depending on the type of issues to address, the data scientists, architects of AI solutions, will
focus on models of one type or another. Even though all these technologies will have substantial impact on the general improvement of processes in the Supply Chain, it is more interesting to focus on Machine Learning and deep learning issues, which represent most situations currently studied in the industry. Regarding logistics and supply chain management, AI solutions are capable of optimising route planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management. This in turn can result in streamlined operations, reduced costs, and improved customer experiences. Businesses therefore are positioned to benefit from improved efficiency and competitiveness, ensuring prompt deliveries and sustained growth going forward. We are strong believers in the power of AI. Our ODATiO software, which is a unique platform containing among other functionalities, modular WMS and TMS,
utilises artificial intelligence and machine learning. Deep inside ODATiO WMS, our software continuously gathers and analyses data pertaining to all aspects of activity conducted in the warehouse. The software can also digest previous historical data fed to it, and as such, begins to build a powerful and comprehensive model of data analysis and forecasting. For instance, our Labor Management module leverages AI technologies to react and anticipate surges in activity & order volumes. Such data is critical to warehouse managers as it aids them in better preparing for potential surges in activity, due to business seasonality or other factors, and allows them to better understand their warehouse behavior, trends, and changes. GSC: How far up the value chain is Savoye in this spectrum? AK: Savoye is placed relatively high up the value chain. The company provides cutting-edge warehouse automation and
management systems that make use of Ain machine learning and other technological advancements to optimise procedures like order picking, sorting, and inventory control. Our software solutions are an integral part of the company’s advanced logistics and supply chain offerings, providing real-time visibility, data analytics, and automation capabilities. Software solutions like Order Management System (OMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Transport Management System (TMS) enable businesses to customise and modify the systems in accordance with their needs, preferences, and types of businesses across various industries, which ultimately sets us apart from other solution providers. One of our major solutions, ODATIO, was also developed in response to the need
for logistics companies around the world to become more flexible to respond to the demands of an ever-evolving market. These solutions certainly position Savoye as a trusted solutions provider that aids companies in increasing the accuracy and efficiency of their supply chain operations. GSC: Provide us the one-minute spiel on InCube Technologies? Anas Hammoudeh (AH): InCube Technologies, one of the Middle East and North Africa’s premier supply chain mobility solutions providers, is a forwardthinking company that is at the forefront of innovation. InCube specialises in developing cutting-edge solutions that leverage the power of AI and IoT to transform businesses and industries.
AI solutions are capable of optimising route planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management. This can result in streamlined operations, reduced costs, and improved customer experiences.

transformation. Savoye, as a trusted technology company, facilitates this transformation by enabling businesses to leverage digital solutions and keep up with the constantly shifting demands of the market. GSC: How are Savoye’s customized solutions such as ODATiO in league with InCube impacting your regional business? AH: For a partnership to be successful, it must contain mutual benefit for both parties involved. We have achieved this with InCube. As InCube’s focused on being a one-stop-shop for supply chain and logistics solutions, for all segments of the supply chain from raw materials to end-user, having Savoye’s ODATiO in their portfolio covers a significant need and provides added value across several parts of the supply chain. Concrete Floor Slabs – Sustainability etched in stone
Innovation, knowledge and action are key drivers of environmental sustainability Environmental sustainability values are integral to addressing the pressing environmental challenges of our time. Time and again as a specialist concrete flooring contractor that offers “green” solutions to global logistics, manufacturing and heavy industrial sectors, we come across a lot of talk, but often a lack of clear action. Twintec is deeply committed to, doubling down and staying the course in sustainability and protection of the environment affirms Ruth Waugh, General Manager, Twintec Middle East Industrial Flooring, in this special contribution for Global Supply Chain.
26 NOVEMBER 2023
M
ost companies state publicly they have sustainability at the heart of their business, but only if it does not impact the cost, operations or require any effort to implement. Innovation, knowledge and action are key drivers of environmental sustainability. Embracing new technologies, practices, and solutions can help mitigate environmental problems and reduce the negative impacts of human activities. Clearly defined sustainability values encourage the continuous search for innovative solutions. In this article, we will delve into the significance of Twintec’s environmental sustainability values, their evolution, and the role they play in shaping a more sustainable future.
Innovation and ingenuity prioritized The vision and commitment of Twintec’s founders to sustainability, coupled with a considerable investment in research & development paved the way for key initiatives to support the company’s environmental goals. At Twintec, we play our role in enabling decarbonisation with our stated corporate goals and corporate social responsibility. Sustainability is our watchword and credo. Our well-researched innovations have included the following: AFT® E-Fibre developed in partnership with the University of Sheffield and through participation in a 2006 European commission program to find alternative reinforcements for concrete paving. This high tensile steel fibre is repurposed from the steel chord in end of life of tyres and is used as an alternative to steel rebar in many concrete floor slab designs. World first electric super-flat screeds used during the concrete floor laying process replacing thermic equipment and designed to assist experienced workers provide the flatness requirements of today’s global logistics industry.
Knowledge: Better by Design Design optimisation is key to sustainability and supports carbon neutral targets. It is essential that for new logistics or industrial
facilities the concrete floor slab design is optimised to meet the specific operational requirements and consideration given to the embodied carbon content and life cost (operational efficiencies and ongoing maintenance) at the concept stage. Optimised slab thickness & reinforcement to achieve lowest material consumption Use of environmentally sustainable materials is intended to reduce embodied carbon. Designs are conceived for life cost, longevity and low maintenance The Twintec ECO Freeplan® (SFRC jointless concrete floor slab) & ECO ULTIMATE (seamless floor slab) combines design solutions with specific materials and optimised production processes for an overall reduction in embodied carbon.
How is this attained? 1 Reducing the volume of steel within a concrete floor slab and incorporating repurposed steel fibre (AFT® E-Fibre) 2 Composition of concrete including cement replacement (e.g. GGBS etc)
and less consumption by reducing slab thicknesses. 3 Advanced on-site construction processes, minimising manpower and the utilisation of electric concrete laying equipment. Reducing the embodied carbon in your concrete floor slab by up to 66% is achievable compared to traditional mesh, saw cut concrete floor slab construction.
Action speaks louder than words Innovation and knowledge are key drivers of environmental sustainability but also is action and a commitment to follow through on corporate statements. As individuals and organisations, we all have a responsibility to sustainable construction. There is no magic wand or the ability to go back in time and do things differently, but what we can do collectively is work towards reducing the impact of our business operations on the world we live in for the future generations. There isn’t time to wait for legislation or codes to insist on sustainable design practices and whilst we welcome moves towards defined embodied carbon targets in construction, Twintec is not prepared to wait and embrace wholehearted designing & constructing ECO Freeplan® and ECO ULTIMATE floor slabs globally.

How Technology can strengthen the Healthcare Supply Chain Digital technology is a key enabler of new healthcare delivery, from remote patient monitoring to apps
W
ith virtual healthcare and telemedicine becoming the norm after the pandemic, patients expect the same choice and convenience in healthcare that they enjoy when procuring other products and services, giving rise to a form of ‘healthcare consumerism’. As a result, established companies are diversifying their offerings to more personalized healthcare products and services targeting specific consumer groups. In the Middle East, a vibrant healthcare market, state-of-the-art hospitals are rapidly expanding their scope of service delivery to cater to the growing needs of all residents, with a focus on more tailored treatment approaches.
Digitalization to eliminate siloes Digital technology is a key enabler of new healthcare delivery, from remote patient monitoring to apps and videoconferencing for doctor-patient consultations. In fact, digitizing the supply chain offers multiple opportunities for participants to improve the quality, security, agility and costeffectiveness of their supply networks. We have seen how digital technology is rapidly eliminating the blind spots that make supply chains hard to manage. With

Patient-centric services are transforming the healthcare ecosystem. Increasingly, treatment in clinics and hospitals is being replaced with new therapeutic approaches and specialized treatments that harness the latest technologies. This shift has had significant implications for patients, healthcare providers, and for the supply chains that underpin the industry, opines Annette Naude, Regional Head of Life Sciences and Chemicals, DHL Global Forwarding Middle East Africa. smart sensors and connected systems, healthcare companies can achieve visibility of the location and status of every shipment, in close to real time.
Blockchain Using asset tracking technologies, drug and device suppliers can effectively monitor the status of consignment stocks at hospitals or even in patient’s homes, paving the way for seamless, automated replenishment. Blockchain technologies can support information exchange and supply chain coordination in complex, multi-stakeholder networks. Blockchains can also be used to verify compliance and stop counterfeit products entering the supply chain. Smart analytics technologies, including digital twins, can be used to optimize material flows and inventory disposition, helping reduce waste and maintain availability.
Improved speed, efficiency and convenience
Unfortunately, supply chain and healthcare digitization initiatives are usually designed and implemented independently. However, bringing those two sides of the digital equation together could pave the way for a positive change in efficiency, speed and convenience. For example, in hospital
settings, dispensing robots could generate replenishment orders automatically based on real time data on demand for drugs and devices on the ward. The required data already exists in the value chain, but it is distributed across multiple different systems with limited interconnections. Integrating this data into a common platform would allow value chain participants to derive new insights and automate activities to a much larger extent than currently possible.
Data optimization For many Middle East players, the emerging challenge is learning how to use all that data to optimize supply chain performance. It will require a robust data platform strategy, with appropriate governance and access control to ensure that data can be used widely across the organization, without compromising security, confidentially or compliance. Looking ahead, as organizations in every industry in the region face greater pressure to minimize the environmental impact of their operations, digitalization of the supply chain can also ensure reduced carbon emissions and optimization of transportation assets, making it a win-win for the healthcare sector, governments and logistics operators.

optimization of combustion processes is also advised to cut down on overall energy consumption as this can also have a significant positive impact on the economy. The use of technology can reduce energy costs by up to 15 per cent, which most certainly makes a significant contribution to a refinery’s operations given that energy can usually account for up to 50 per cent of a typical refinery’s operating costs. With respect to emissions, we advocate preventing emissions from occurring, monitoring operational emissions, and optimizing processes to make adequate reductions. For instance, superior valve design, modern leak detection systems, and vapor recovery systems, are strong technological approaches to preventing emissions. The same is true for emissions monitoring, which can be based on conventional Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and enhanced by the careful application of AI and ML via predictive emissions monitoring. The company’s structured approach, which includes employee training, process standardization, data-driven decisionmaking, regular performance monitoring, and a culture of continuous improvement,

aids customers in driving more sustainable operations, leading to increased energy efficiency, safety, dependability, productivity, and other benefits. GSC: At ADIPEC 2023 you chaired a session on best practices to maintain operational excellence and improve maintenance and HSE performance. What is your message on this count? WH: To cultivate operational excellence, there are several pivotal areas that need to be addressed: digital transformation, asset performance management (APM), and the cultivation of a collaborative workforce. The digital revolution has reshaped how we approach operations, making it imperative for companies to adopt the latest technological advancements. Leveraging digital tools, like IoT (Internet of Things) sensors and AI-driven analytics, empowers organizations to gain real-time data insights, enabling informed, proactive decision-making – in turn, boosting operational efficiency and HSE performance. GSC: Talk to us about your CSR responsibilities, carbon capture, the energy transition and steps to achieving carbon neutrality? WH: At Emerson, we recognize the growing need for a committed, holistic approach to corporate responsibility to maintain good business practices. Today, national and international oil companies are faced with a very delicate balance between increasing throughput and production in the face of energy security concerns in a dynamic geopolitical environment, while making significant progress toward sustainability goals set forth by regulators and governments. All of this must be done while ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and profitability in line with the interests of stakeholders. Similarly, while businesses invest in new, cleaner energy sources, they must also search for additional complementary ways to cut emissions over the course of the short, medium, and long terms. As a result, it will be easier to measure and detect emissions, operate with more effective combustion techniques, and prevent emissions leaks with improved

equipment and strategies. Today, the most stringent emissions regulations are met or exceeded by improved valve designs, which include highly effective stem sealing systems, higher flow rates, and packing for temperature variations. Advanced real-time monitoring of storage tanks and pressure relief valves also aids in locating and reducing emissions. Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technology is also emerging as critical components for the future. We understand that getting to a net zero world will depend on sequestering carbon safely in underground geological formations or capturing it at the point of emission and using it in products. Moreover, Emerson’s software solutions also play a critical role in its environmental sustainability efforts.
‘Greening of Emerson’ enhances its sustainability performance by lowering its emissions profile and maximizing its use of water and energy. As a result, Emerson was recognized by IoT Breakthrough as the ‘Industrial IoT Company of the Year,’ an honour we have received four out of the last five years. Our automation technology and software innovation support our customers in key industries in optimizing their operations for increased productivity, safety, and emissions reduction, while also steering towards their set environmental sustainability goals. GSC: What are your expansion plans for the region and what are the opportunities and challenges for Emerson going forward? WH: The most notable expansion initiative is Emerson’s new facility at King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) in Saudi Arabia. The new facility is positioned to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities in accordance with the Kingdom’s localization initiative, and support the company’s net zero emission goals, making it one of the largest investments in the Middle East and Africa region for the company.
In addition to being in line with the Saudi Arabia 2030 Vision, the move supports Emerson’s efforts to localize the value chain as part of the ‘In Kingdom Total Value Add (iKTVA) initiative. Emerson has also recently signed a strategic agreement with ADNOC Technical Academy, this significant partnership covers various facets of collaboration and support, with the main objective of elevating local talent and capabilities and creating a skilled workforce among young Emiratis, addressing the industry’s rising demand for qualified professionals. GSC: What is your wider vision for Emerson for the region for the short- and long-term futures? WH: This entails finding new business opportunities, creating strategic alliances with major players, and improving client relationships through exceptional service and support. Our continued dedication to sustainable business practices will also be essential to our progress. Emerson understands the value of environmental responsibility and strives to incorporate sustainable practices into its business operations at every step. This includes promoting energy-efficient solutions and reducing waste generation. In addition, we aim to establish lasting connections based on reliability, success, and mutual respect. By consistently delivering high-quality products and services, Emerson’s goal is to fortify its standing as the preferred solutions provider for customers. Our commitment to the growth and engagement of our employees is another crucial area where we place a high priority. We believe that investing in talent is critical for long-term success and hope to achieve this by fostering a culture of continuous learning and providing opportunities for career growth. Above all, we recognize the potential for digital transformation in driving long-term success. We will continue to emphasize the importance of leveraging emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and data analytics to optimize operations, improve customer experiences, and drive innovation for sustained growth.
