1st DEGREE BLACK BELT GREEN TIP CURRICULUM The material in this guide is designed to supplement classroom training. Students should warm up properly before practicing. Techniques that require a partner should be executed with no contact unless supervised by an instructor. SECTION I - POOMSE: KORYO (1st Degree Black Belt), TAE-GEUK OH-JANG (Beginner Blue), KI-BON OH-JANG (Intermediate Blue), and KI-BON YUKE-JANG (Advanced Blue) SECTION II - ONE STEP SPARRING 30-31 #30 - SPIN TAKE DOWN AXE KICK
Step right leg over so your stance is parallel to attackers stance and elbow hit to sternum
Shift weight to the left and right hand grabs back of attackers head
Right knee to attackers head
Use back ridge of thumb to spin under for take down
Finish take down
Place right foot where left was and step back with left foot
Begin kick by spinning on right leg to the right side
Jump off right leg and execute a right leg jumping back spin kick and Ki-hap

Fu-jin (slide) step backward
Right leg inside crescent block
Right leg axe kick and Ki-hap
SECTION III - SELF DEFENSE - BELT GRABS 2 Top belt grab 2

Move right foot to left as you place both hand on top of attackers hands
Step left foot to the right side as you lower left shoulder
Go into horse stance as you secure hands and apply pressure up against elbow Ki-hap
Step forward with left foot as you place left hand on top of attackers right shoulder
Place the top of right forearm under attackers elbow, hold your left arm with right hand
Apply pressure against attackers elbow by raising right arm upward Ki-hap

SECTION IV - FREE SPARRING: ALL GEAR During testing students will have to demonstrate Olympic style free sparring with all gear.
SECTION V - BOARD BREAKING: ANY KICK DURING ANY OF THE REQUIRED POOMSES (BE PREPARED TO SET UP) SECTION VI - PHILOSOPHY (WRITTEN) EXAM WILL BE ON TRUST
Once a student knows all of the material in this guide, they should pick up a test form to prepare for the philosophical (written) portion of the belt exam. Students may only test with the instructors permission.
