Outstanding Leadership

Outstanding Leaders

We select Putney leaders from a highly competitive pool of diverse and qualified candidates. They bring to each program a depth of experience in teaching, foreign language, international living, and world travel. As graduates of the nation’s top colleges and universities and veterans of prestigious organizations like the Peace Corps, Teach for America, and The Fulbright Program, our leaders distinguish themselves in the fields of teaching, arts, athletics, journalism, law, medicine, and international development.

Leaders attend an intensive training that features hands-on workshops, discussions, and activities focused on safety, group dynamics, program logistics, and leadership. They share a commitment to safety, a passion for exploration, and an enthusiasm for facilitating positive group dynamics. Putney leaders are not only advisors, guides, and mentors to their students, but also role models and friends during the summer and beyond. Meet our leaders and read full bios at goputney.com/leaders.
