Destination • Begin in Marrakesh and get a sense of the city’s rich cultural history, built on millenia of Berber inhabitation and later Muslim settlement. Head into the rugged High Atlas mountains to complete your service projects in an indigenous Berber community, then travel to the scenic Atlantic coast to share your independent projects and surf with your group.

Projects • Collaborate on service projects in a Berber community to learn about their lifestyle and explore the challenges, such as drought, that climate change presents. Immerse yourself in village life by helping with the community garden, learning traditional building methods, and teaching primary and secondary school students.

Activities • From land to sea, explore a diversity of environments on this program. Discover the captivating shop stalls in the market of Marrakesh, complete a multi-day trek into the High Atlas mountains, play a game of pick-up soccer with members of your host community, and go surfing in the beach town of Essaouira.
