Service & Spanish Immersion in the Andean Cloud Forest

Destination • Immerse yourself in the language and culture of a small village tucked into the Andean cloud forest. Practice your Spanish with locals on your project worksite and join a welcoming family for a week-long homestay. Cap your experience with a trip to Cotopaxi Volcano and the enchanted Galápagos Islands.

Language Learning • Take a language pledge to speak in Spanish and practice your language skills through conversations with local people, dynamic lessons, research projects, and games. Live with an Ecuadorian host family for one week to immerse yourself in Ecuadorian culture as you prepare meals, join family outings, share stories, and deepen connections.

Activities • Travel to a rustic hacienda at the base of Cotopaxi Volcano for mountain exploration, hiking, and horseback riding. Explore the Galápagos Islands—snorkel with sea lions, kayak to spot blue-footed boobies, and learn about the unique ecosystems and important conservation initiatives.
