Belize: Zoology
Known as “the best little zoo in the world,” The Belize Zoo is home to over 175 animals. All of the animals are native to the region, and none were captured from the wild—they were rescued, abandoned, donated by other zoos, removed from the illegal pet trade, or born at the zoo. During your stay, you may high-five a jaguar, hold a boa constrictor, or feed a tapir, the national animal of Belize.
