GOLD COAST BORN AND BRED
Emilee Hembrow SISTER ACT Where were you born and what sort of an upbringing did you have? “I am a born and bred Gold Coaster who has enjoyed the best of both worlds. I consider myself to be very fortunate. Our family travelled a lot and I attended an international school for high school which resulted in me having friends from all over the world.” You have two sisters and two half-sisters – how did that effect you growing up and surrounded by so many females? “Having so many sisters has been the best thing ever. My sisters are my best friends and because I have so many there's always one to hang out with when I am free.” You have stated previously that being an influencer was never really a goal. What was the catalyst for change? “It started primarily because of the reaction I received and when I saw that I could use the platforms to earn a living and be flexible with my hours, it was an easy decision. It gave me the freedom of working from wherever I was, whether that be overseas (as I used to travel a lot) or working from home with my kids. Also I liked the way it enabled me to just be myself and connect in a real way with my followers.”
