Consider The Lilies by Leslie Bennett

May I introduce you to this friend of mine,

I feel sure the writer based his lyrics on Luke 12:27-28:

When we are struggling with needs, whether they be emotional, physical, financial, or spiritual, we are encouraged to “think about and be drawn toward” the beauty of the lily. God created the lily and provides the necessary elements in order for it to grow and bloom so beautifully. This should cause our faith in God to blossom! If He provides so wonderfully for the lilies of the field, how could we ever doubt that He will provide exactly what we need? “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). God knows our needs, even before we petition Him, and He promises to provide for ALL our needs “according to His riches in glory.” This verse speaks to me literally. My Father will not be half-hearted or skimpy with His provisions, but He will provide extravagantly for me! Isn’t
