The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster visits the Peterborough Hub In October the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Steven Barclay, toured the construction site of the new Government Hub at Fletton Quays in Peterborough. The hub is part of the Places for Growth programme, which supports the Government’s drive to move 22,000 civil service roles from central London to locations across the UK through the Government Hubs Programme. More than 1,000 civil servants from various government departments including HM Passport Office and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) are expected to move to the hub from 2023.
