Safe Working Guidance Helping HM Government departments respond to COVID-19 Throughout the pandemic the GPA has been supporting HM Government departments with office safety guidance. We have drawn lessons and best practice from the private and public sectors to support departments maintain safe workplaces and manage the risk of COVID-19. The guidance has been sponsored by the Chief Operating Officers’ Network, and is the product of a cross-Government collaboration between functional expertise from BEIS, Cabinet Office, COVID-19 Task Force, DEFRA, DfE, DWP, Home Office, MOD, Civil Service HR, Government Security Group, and Crown Commercial Service. As well as feedback from our consultation with HM Government departments. We have now updated the Safe Working Guidance to reflect the latest Government information, and to support a common approach to the way departments respond to that information. The guidance will support your planning, identify any risks within your business, and consider appropriate mitigations you may need in your particular settings. The Guidance continues to complement the Smarter Working in a Modern Civil Service programme.
