April 20 - May 20 Mixing business with pleasure could prove interesting this week, but be careful not to overstep the mark with a professional acquaintance. Signals are easy to mis-read, but getting this one wrong could have absolutely mortifying results!

GEMINI

May 21 - June 20 Reignite the intellectual spark between you and your sweetheart. Go beyond your physical attraction and aim for a meeting of minds instead. Working together on issues you both care about will bring you closer together.

CANCER

June 21 - July 22 Giving your sweetheart more space and freedom will strengthen the bond you have when you are together. The lesson from this week's New Moon is that possessiveness harms and hinders your relationship. Let go a little. You have nothing to fear.

LEO

September 23 - October 22 If you're single, a saucy flirtation this week could lead to something really rather intense, if short-lived! Within an established relationship, Venus turns up the heat. Head off for a romantic break together and make the most of couple time. October 23 - November 21 Someone from the past makes an appearance this week, much to your delight. Rekindling old memories will bring you joy, but watch out for jealousy from a spouse or partner. You'll need to be tactful if you want to enjoy this meet-up.

"it's the perfect week for dating" LEO -

SAGITTARIUS

November 22 - December 21 You have a way with words now, which you can use to great effect at work. Charm and request instead of demanding or ordering. Use this gift for communication in your personal life too, especially with difficult in-laws or elderly family members.

July 23 - August 22 As Venus arrives in your love zone, it's the perfect week for dating. If you're already in a loving relationship, make an extra effort to find time for your lover. Prioritize your relationship and cancel other commitments if necessary.

CAPRICORN

VIRGO

PISCES

August 23 - September 22 Over-indulgence could lead to stomach upsets or lethargy this week, so keep a careful eye on your food and drink intake. If you're feeling down, seek reassurance from those who love you the most; comfort eating will only make you feel worse.

December 22 to January 19 The New Moon in your own sign is empowering and full of optimism. Lay strategic plans for the rest of 2018 now - long range thinking is your specialty, and this is an excellent week for seeing the bigger picture. February 19 - March 20 You're always keen to help others, but you're in danger of losing your own best interests along the way. Avoid sacrificing too much this week. Learn when and how to say no. Enough is enough, and you must start to prioritize your own needs.

March 21 - April 19 It's not enough to have career goals for this year. Seize the initiative brought by the New Moon and start to make things happen. Take the first steps in a new career journey, and don't be afraid to stand alone in your new direction.

#SayYesToLove

This happened 40 years after Mickey Mouse received his in 1978 and became the first cartoon character to get a star. Katy Perry, along with Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger, shared a few words for the 'official First Lady of Walt Disney Company' who marked her 90th anniversary in entertainment since first being created in 1928.

The Orange is the New Black star and LGBT rights activist, Laverne Cox, appears on Cosmo South Africa's February 2018 issue, looking all kinds of empowered in a sexy bodysuit for the mag's #SayYesToLove edition. The Valentine's Daythemed issue highlights LGBT issues, and the cover also features a rainbow masthead.

These M&M's Cookies are always a favorite with the kids and adults. So satisfying and delicious with a glass of cold milk.

Beat butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until well combined, about 2 minutes. Add flour and beat till dough comes together. Mix in mini M&M's. Form into walnut-sized balls and flatten to form disks. Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool cookies on a wire rack.

From rock and roll to hip hop and R&B

TUNE IN EVERYBODY! David Clementina Let’s tune in the life of the on air personality, the one and only music and program director of 88Rockòrsou, the sales manager of the broadcasting stations 88Rockòrsou, Z-86 and Mi-95: David Clementina a.k.a Big D! By: Jade Mambre | Photography: This is Tuna

8

His whole life he has been involved in the broadcasting world. Even after experiencing different jobs while studying International Business and Management in the Netherlands, he chose to be an on air personality, as being on air is where he finds himself and what gives him a voice. “Urban is the life, it’s the streets, it is a way of expressing through music. Hip hop is a complete lifestyle. I wake up every day to work for hip hop. It’s the real deal”. There is no distinguishing his work and personal life, as everything he does has a connection to the broadcasting world. Since being on air for the first time at the age of 16 until now, David is sharing his passion for music. “It’s in my blood”.

During the 18 years of 88Rockòrsou’s existence, David was there to experience its growth from playing rock and roll to playing hip hop and R&B, and how it grew as a culture. In 2010, David returned as a full time on air personality sharing and analyzing music and incorporating the knowledge he gained when he lived in the Netherlands and the United States. “I have a little of all the worlds in me”. The relationships he created and the recognitions that he has gotten because of being a part of the broadcasting world is something that amazes him. Conducting interviews with local artists and artists from the Netherlands is an important element of 88Rockòrsou. “The local urban scene is a whole industry in the making, and all the artists feel affiliated to 88Rockòrsou. When they release their songs, they want to visit The Morning Jam and talk with us, which is something cool that manifested itself”.

The Morning Jam His friendship and conversations about current topics with Maudy Pinedo, also known as the co-host Mz Maudy, lead to the creation of The Morning Jam. This is a platform where they share different tips and talk about urban and cultural activities, and different topics concerning everything that is happening around us. Serious topics are tackled in a fun and interactive way “to one way or another get the attention and opening the eyes” of those who are listening. Topics like drunk driving,

helping women, customer service, sex and more. They make sure that every day’s topic is current and relevant. The Morning Jam focuses on life, people, and the interaction with their audience. This morning show is able to make someone’s day, because of its positivity and the opinions that are expressed during the show.

Leadership Besides how the brand grew more as a culture, “I personally grew a lot as a leader, and I developed a lot of patience and comprehension. I learned to listen and change my ways to get the results I wanted. I

“If we teach someone one thing or change someone’s life with this show, we have done our job”.

had to adapt myself to the culture to be able to have an impact on it”. He had to learn a little of what everyone else was doing to be able to make changes. He was able to gain the respect of others and give respect in return. “People will see the positive impact, and that is how slowly I reached the goals I desired. I learned the hard way”. These changes happened in a few years, but a little goes a long way. David works with creative people of different age groups, and it is something he enjoys doing.

Co-host Maudy Pinedo A.K.A. Mz Maudy

Working in the broadcasting world is how David became affiliated with radios in Miami and New York. He visits them and learns from them to improve his own broadcasting station. A massive plan for all the broadcasting stations that are a part of Curom Broadcasting is that they are all going fully digital, while still maintaining radio as the main element. Think of videos, websites and apps! In a couple of years from now, David Clementina still sees himself in the broadcasting business. He and his team will carry on connecting with their audience, being the place for hip hop and R&B and delivering the latest releases. “We are the soundtrack of people’s lives”.

Directions

Cook the bacon: Place the chopped bacon in a skillet and cook over medium heat until crispy, 7 to 10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain, leaving the rendered bacon fat in the skillet. Set some of the bacon aside for sprinkling over top the dip. Cook the vegetables: Add the garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the artichoke hearts, spinach, red pepper flakes, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until artichokes are warmed through and the spinach has wilted, about 5 minutes.

12

Combine with the cheeses: In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, shredded Italian cheese blend, sour cream, reserved bacon, and spinach-artichoke mixture until thoroughly combined. Bake and serve: Transfer the mixture to a 1- to 2-quart baking dish and bake until bubbling around the edges, about 20 minutes. Let cool slightly, then sprinkle with reserved bacon and serve with pita chips. This dip is best eaten right away while hot. If it cools a bit and starts to firm up, microwave it for a minute or two to melt the cheese again.
