GOWEEKLY 05 2016 HOROSCOPE
ARIES
March, 12 - April, 20 Your imagination is flying high. Intellect and intuition join together in a vivid and explosive union where the whole is definitely greater than the sum of the parts. Don’t waste this energy. Get busy and work on whatever creative projects you’re involved with, or start one if there aren’t any.
Famous Aquarius
Christiano Ronaldo Born: February 5, 1985
AQUARIUS
January, 20 - Febuary, 18 A focused and enhanced practical turn of mind, strengthened by intuition, may be of great help to you when considering career matters. A change is in the wind and you might want to give considerable thought to different options that may be opening up to you. Don’t think you have to rush into making a decision, however. It might be a good idea to let different possibilities simmer in your subconscious for a day or so. Wellness You used to love physical activity - the more intense the better. What has become of this urge? Picture a big pot filled with soup - the biggest pot you can imagine. Stirring that pot, so that soup from the very bottom mixes with the soup on top, is what exercise does for you. A good balance between aerobic and anaerobic exercise is ideal. This process is not only satisfying physically, but is also necessary for a healthy mind. With so much energy brewing inside of you, regular physical release keeps your mental processes in check. Think about it.
2
TAURUS
April, 21 - May, 20 Thoughts of travel could be on your and you might tinker with the idea of actually taking time off and going somewhere that you’ve always wanted to visit. A friend or love partner might want to accompany you.
GEMINI
May, 21 - June, 20 Some unusual dreams may come to you and you might awaken with the idea that they’re very important. The images should be very clear, however, and you probably won’t have much trouble working out what they mean.
CANCER
June, 21 - July, 22 Relationships of all kinds should be thriving at this time. Mind and emotions join together in a beneficial partnership, enabling you to increase your understanding of those close to you. Romantic involvements strengthen in particular, as an understanding of your partner’s values, attitudes, and motivations becomes clearer to you.
LEO
July, 23 - August, 22 Work of all kinds gets done a lot faster as friends or family members join in assisting you in getting it out of the way. You’ve made this possible because your intellect has joined with your emotions in strengthening your communication with others.
VIRGO
August, 23 - September, 22 Love blossoms as communication with your beloved is enhanced by an increased understanding on both your parts. You feel more at ease in each other’s presence, and you project a united front in the company of others.
LIBRA
September, 23 - October, 22 A number of visitors might come to your house, perhaps to discuss matters of interest to all of you. Some intense disagreements could arise, but you’ll be able to keep it all together. An intellect enhanced by intuition enables you to understand and explain complex ideas, and you’ll also be able to derail misunderstandings before they even happen.
“regular physical release keeps your mental processes in check. ”
AQUARIUS -
SCORPIO
October, 23 - November, 23 You may be doing some writing or web design or animation, but whatever it is, you’ll probably find it noticeably better than what you usually produce. Intellect joins with intuition to produce inspiration and insight. Make the most of it now and you might develop some new and lasting skills!
SAGITTARIUS
November, 23 - December, 21 Using computers either to increase your income or manage your money may have seemed like Greek to you, but you’ll probably catch on very quickly. Your natural practicality joins with an enhanced intellect and heightened intuition to give you an advantage you don’t usually have.
CAPRICORN
December, 22- January, 19 Intellect and feelings are totally joined, especially when dealing with friends. Your basic understanding of others is also enhanced by a keener sense of intuition. You might become interested in a cause of some kind, perhaps metaphysical, social, ecological, or humanitarian in nature.
PISCES
February, 21 - March, 20 You probably won’t want to spend much time at home. Most likely you’ll want to be out and about, perhaps at a large gathering, perhaps just strolling down a city street watching the people go by.

Lady Gaga 'planning Italian wedding'
Rihanna's album Rihanna has another big hit on her hands, her new album Anti has racked up a million downloads in just 15 hours. The R&B star released the record two days early on Wednesday night January 27 when the track listing and song snippets were briefly posted on Jay Z’s streaming music and video website Tidal, and it was an instant success. Rihanna posted a celebratory message on Twitter.com in light of the great news, tweeting to her "navy" - a term she uses in reference to her fans: "1 MILLION in under 15 hrs!!!! NAVY R die!!!! Thank u to all my fans. Rihanna has experienced several hurdles with her eighth studio album Anti. She had originally been planning to release the record last November but various delays pushed the date back. Her father Ronald Fenty claimed last year that the delay occurred because there was still a great deal of work to be done on the album, her first release since 2012's Unapologetic.

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney will reportedly wed in Italy, although no date has been set. The flamboyant singer and Chicago Fire actor got engaged in February 2015, but they have both kept relatively quiet on plans for their big day. It's now been claimed they have started to think about what they want, with Gaga said to have her heart set on a destination day in Italy because that's where her family is from.
Ricky Martin on Puerto Rican Walk of Fame Pop star Ricky Martin is set to be honored in his native Puerto Rico with a star on the country's Walk of Fame. The Livin' La Vida Loca singer will unveil the prestigious marker in his hometown of San Juan on 3 February and he will be just one of the 40 Puerto Rican celebrities local officials plan to honor over the next few years.

Nos dos ta bati bai The story of a King
Rubertico Balentien, also known as Tico or Benoni, is no stranger to this feeling. He has been here twice before. Crowned the King of Tumba for the third time in 9 years participating is something many singers dream of.
“I knew that this one was a winner from the beginning.” ‘Nos dos ta bati bai’, a Tumba song written and arranged by the maestro Gregory Colina, was dubbed the winner by many as soon as Tico finished performing it on the preliminary night. Tico Balentien took time out of his busy schedule to talk to GoWeekly about his love for Tumba, how it feels to be king again and his plans for the future. Text: Hayson Nicholls Photography by: Uriel Symor

COVER STORY GOWEEKLY 05 2016
Who is Benoni Balentien? “I was born in Curaçao and raised in Rincon, Bonaire. My parents are from Bonaire. I grew up loving music, but I never liked any kind of competition because I don’t like losing. So I tried to avoid it. But when I eventually did decide to compete, most of the time I was very successful. I don’t carry those negative feelings anymore, but I am still very competitive.”
You are a very talented and diverse singer. What drew you to Tumba?
Photography by: Nestor G. Zavarce
“When I was young I participated in the youth Tumba festival in Bonaire where I placed first runner up. After that I didn’t participate again until
2000 at the “Festival di Tumba”here on Curaçao. I just wanted to experience being on stage with great singers such as Elia Isenia, Farley Lourens and Jersey Isenia to name a few. That same year, I went abroad to study.
convinced me immediately. The theme of unity, peace and love felt very good. We need this positivity seeing all the events happening the last few months on Curaçao. I knew that this one was a winner from the beginning.”
In 2007, I was supposed to be a backup singer for a few singers and not officially participate in the competition. When Gabrielo Cruz withdrew, Oko Dap, the composer was looking for somebody to sing his Tumba (song). Bibi Gonet told him that I could do it. That year I was crowned the winner of the Tumba Festival. Since then, I have participated nearly every year, with the exception of 2 years due to personal reasons.”
What motivates you to participate?
How does it feel to hear your name announced as the King of Tumba? “Every win has its own unique feeling to it. The first time was the most exciting. Winning in 2009 (2nd time) was very emotional because the competition was intense, especially from Hendrik de Windt (Oloshi). I was not going to participate in the 2016 festival, but when I read the lyrics of the Tumba it
“I participate purely for the fans. They give me the drive to do it. But I also said to myself that I will only participate 10 times. This year was my 9th, so I just have 1 more time to go and I will go for my 4th crown. I am in an elite group of people that hold 3 Tumba crowns, behind the legend Boy Dap who has 10. I want to be alone in second place behind Boy Dap with 4 crowns.” You are a singer with many young followers. Many of them are aspiring singers as well. What advice can you give them in order to follow their dreams? “On the final night of the “Festival di Tumba” I spoke to Dibo Doran, Hunnely, Danny Yanga and T-Sean about the youth. We are the ones that need to show the youth that it is ok to dream and pursue your dreams. We were also young once and full of aspiration and look where we are now.”
What does the future hold for Benoni Balentien musically? “I have my own entertainment band RuBeBa that is doing well. I want to use my Tumba to bring a message of positivity and peace to the people of Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire in the form of a campaign. This will be a yearlong project, because we are in need of peace and harmony in these times.”
