ARIES
March, 21 - April, 19 Learning comes easily to you, as your mind is especially sharp and retentive. Your intuition is usually high. Therefore, this is a great time to read or work on an art project. Set aside some time alone to contemplate. It may help you on a very deep level.
TAURUS
Famous Aquarius
Dwight Leoneta Born: February 13, 1979
AQUARIUS
January, 20 - February, 18 Conversations with friends take on a more serious note. Spiritual matters and beliefs could come up, as could the more pressing mundane details of life. Whatever is discussed could bring to the surface new ideas for making whatever you're working on move smoothly and quickly to success. Metaphysical ideas seem clearer and more down to Earth. Treat your friends to a nice meal.
WELLNESS A feeling of peace or contentedness is available to you now and though you might not know the source, it feels "a long time coming." Typically, it's possible for you to go about finding the source of this feeling in what others might call a "backwards" approach. Begin a discipline now of healthy practices. A diet of light foods and plenty of water along with physical activities might reveal to you the source of this peaceful feeling.
2
April, 20 - May, 20 It should be easier than usual to concentrate on the practical aspects of finances. A keener mind combines with enhanced intuition to give you a special edge when it comes to making decisions on everything that concern money, so make the most of it while you can.
GEMINI
May, 21 - June, 20 Have you been thinking about attending a seminar of some kind, perhaps business related? You and a partner might go together. This is a good time to do this, as your thinking is particularly clear and retentive and you find it easier than usual to concentrate.
LIBRA
September, 23 - October, 22 If you're into writing, this is the perfect time to sit down and churn out the words, even if it's only a letter to a friend. Your imagination is especially vivid, your expression clear and understandable, and your vocabulary skills especially acute. If this is a thesis or article, you may spend hours on it. Don't worry. It will be that much better for it.
SCORPIO
October, 23 - November, 22 Do you have some paperwork regarding money that you've been putting off? If so, this is a good time to get it out of the way once and for all. Your mind is especially sharp and your concentration strong, so you're less likely to be distracted or make mistakes.
"You and a partner might go together." GEMINI -
CANCER
SAGITTARIUS
June, 21 - July, 22 Have you been working hard to attain optimal health? If so, you may suddenly notice that your efforts are finally bearing fruit. You should feel especially fit and strong, though maybe a little lightheaded. You will want to increase your exercise, and you have the discipline to do so.
November, 23 - December, 21 Have you wanted to catch up on your reading? If so, this is definitely a good time to stay home, make yourself some tea, and curl up with a good book. If it's a novel, you will enjoy it thoroughly. If it's non-fiction, you will absorb the information quickly and retain more.
LEO
CAPRICORN
July, 23 - August, 22 A long-term love relationship may finally reach the point of total commitment. Intense feelings and words of love could suddenly come from your partner, which could take you by surprise but are no less welcome for that. Talk of a future together may result, but no concrete decisions will be made.
December, 22 - January, 19 Intuition and imagination combine with good common sense to enable you to accomplish just about anything. If you're into the arts, ideas could come to you in profusion. It will be easy to bring them into reality with a stroke of the pen or brush. The only problem might be deciding among them.
VIRGO
PISCES
August, 23 - September, 22 A meeting, perhaps related to finances, might take place at your home. For the most part, the meeting will go well and you will accomplish what you want. Communication flows freely and agreements are easily reached. Bear in mind that someone has an agenda of their own that might not correspond with the interests of everyone else.
February, 19 - March, 20 In case you're surrounded by a lot of people you can look forward to a very harmonious time. Your sensitivity is higher than usual, so you will be better able to understand others and be understood as well. As a result, you add another bond to your relationships, which will create happiness and joy in your heart.

Some places just belong to Curaçao; without them it would not be the same. After opening its doors almost 75 years ago, it’s for sure the Curaçao Zoo belongs to Curaçao...By: Shari Jourdain
Curaçao
ZOO
The animal life What is a zoo without animals? Curaçao Zoo is filled with amazing animals and they get the best care in there. Most of them were brought there so they could have a better life, and not only do they have that now, but they contribute to making the zoo special as well.
Happy place in progress The zoo is a place where people can enjoy the animals and the nature. It is fun for a family day but also for teenagers who want to get involved with the natural side of life and learn all about animals. Curaçao Zoo is currently in the progress of improvement to make it even better for its visitors. Donations help a long way and positive changes are slowly starting to show. Let’s spend a day with the animals at the Curaçao Zoo!

GOWEEKLY 06 2017 COVER STORY
This year, for the third time, Amos Balentin 'a bai kune'. He shook Festival Center to its core with his Tumba 'Rement’é man’é den SUBT' and as such was crowned King of Tumba 2017. A Tumba that one and all can enjoy, but that will also make you think! Editor: Sendeliz Gibbes | Photography: Uriel Symor
Tumba I’m talking about the circumstances that I was not happy with but I focused mostly on the ambience and the vibe. During the Tumba Festival, and especially on the last day, everyone comes together, and forgets about the problems. We were united and having a good time at the festival.
Tell us more about this lyric: ‘’I punto klave nan nos a lubida’’. Which key points are you singing about? The most important point is: Enjoy! It's a competition, but that doesn't mean that we have to take each other down. For example, people say that I've won a few times, and that I should give others a chance. It's not about giving other people a chance to win. It's not all about winning, because I've lost several times too but it’s how you handle the situation, that matters. Your mindset is important. You just have to have the right mindset, fear no man, and give 100% of yourself because there are a lot of strong 'Tumberos'. So far, this has worked for me.
8
Amos, congratulations! You are our King of Tumba 2017. Last year you said that you would not be participating this year. What changed your mind?
In your Tumba you sing: "No por sinta un dia mas, mirando e fiesta ki bai asina’’. What were the thoughts behind this particular lyric?
In your Tumba, you sing about the ambience at the Tumba Festival when it used to be hosted at SUBT. What are you missing now when it comes to the ambience and the vibe at the Tumba Festival?
Thank you very much. Well, the plan was to skip this year, and participate next year. I wrote this Tumba actually for Urvin Jano but he had another Tumba which he felt more comfortable with. So, 10 days before the Festival I decided that I’m going to interpret my own Tumba.
This particular lyric reflects all the aspects that are contributing factors in endangering Carnival. Last years’ experience at the Tumba Festival cast a dark shadow over the entire Tumba Festival experience for me. But that didn't change my mind about participating, either as a singer or a songwriter. In my
Back in the SUBT days, the people were more 'free' compared to now. People would come together, everyone would share with each other. That's what creates a great ambience. Nowadays for example, the people are more concerned about their looks. I want the ambience and vibe to return
COVER STORY GOWEEKLY 06 2017
to what it was at the time that the festival was being held in the SUBT, and that's the energy that I pumped into my Tumba.
To which of your winning Tumba’s do you feel the strongest connection? Well, it's like asking someone to choose a favorite child, you can't because they're all special. With this particular Tumba, everything happened differently, I think that’s why it’s so special too. For the first time I’ve worked with new musical producers (Dwight Leoneta and Titi de Palm), I had new dancers, no sponsor in the beginning and a totally different approach to the promotion of the Tumba My family helped me out a lot too.
"Nowadays, people are more concerned about their looks" I had set my goal that I needed to make Festival Center 'explode', and that's what I achieved.
What's your message for Carnival 2017? I want Curaçao to enjoy Carnival, enjoy life! Carnival is big, it's a major part of our culture. I'm a hardworking and positive Tumba King. It's all about transmitting the good energy, and that's what I want, to transmit good energy!
