Ingredients for 12 servings -
3 Whole Chicken, quartered (skin on) 15 g (1 Tbsp) Salt 7 Tbsp Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning 250 ml (1 cup) Vegetable oil 75 ml (5 Tbsp) White wine vinegar 45 ml (3 Tbsp) Lime juice 30 g (2 Tbsp) Ginger, grated 3 tsp. Mustard 30 g (2 Tbsp) Honey

Directions Sprinkle salt on chicken and rinse. Pat dry. Whisk together all other ingredients in a large bowl. Put chicken pieces to marinate in mixture for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight. chephacu
Place marinated chicken in a roasting pan, cover with foil and bake at 180 degrees Celsius (gas mark 4) for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for a further 45 minutes or until cooked.

At some point, I believe God saw that I was ready and then Kyle arrived. It is the most beautiful gift that I could have ever expected to receive”.
What I learned from my mother Zuleika’s mother was a businesswoman, who is a very good mother; however, in her aim and effort of being a business woman, “she gave us

less attention than what we wanted and what I needed”. Their mother gave them everything they needed to make sure they did not have a lack of anything. “I wished for more contact. I felt that she was not able to give us that”, because she may have never experienced it. This deficiency in Zuleika’s childhood is the reason why she is giving her children attention, love and contact in abundance.
The best and hardest thing about being a mother Simply having her children in her arms is what gives Zuleika the most joy as mother. What is much more beautiful is the education; teaching them and seeing how they absorb it and execute it at a very young age. “It is beautiful to simply transmit your knowledge to them”. Zuleika sees the humbleness in her children, how they understand her, and how “they are great people to be with”. Even so, education is also the hardest thing about being a mother. As a mother, you want to make sure your children are prepared for the world.
What does being a mother mean to you? “A mother is a guide, someone who is unconditionally there for her children”. Being a mother means someone who does what is best for her children. Zuleika let’s her children feel that it is safe to tell her anything; “that it is okay to talk about it”. The more you know the better you can guide them. “Praise your children; help them with their self-esteem and self-development”. Let them know that they will achieve what

they believe. “I want my children to be leaders. Being a leader means you respect your tribe, and you are grateful. Let them know that they can count on their father and their mother”. Zuleika wants every mother to equip their children with tools that will empower them, tools that will make them strong and ready for the world.
My advice to my children “Try to remain humble, respect others’ ideas and opinions, and be grateful for the little things in life”.
Mom to mom advice Zuleika finds dedication to be a key element when raising children, as what you reap you will sow. It is important to know that having a child means having a responsibility; a responsibility you have to take 100% the minute the child is born. “Do not expect that others will educate your kids the way you want. Do not expect that your kids will go your way”. It is important to respect the fact that a child has its own life,

personality and perspective. “We have to understand what our kids are trying to tell us, and we achieve that by being more involved with them. Do not take your kids for granted. Real dedication and real quality time is super important. Sure, you
need help, as sometimes you do need some ‘me time’ ”, but you need time for your kids as well. A mother is a massive influence in a child’s life, which is why it is essential to be there to raise them and guide them while you can.
