Will Smith cast as genie in Aladdin remake Lately we have been seeing remakes left and right from Disney. Bringing to life classics such as Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book and now the up and coming Aladdin. During Disney’s D23 Expo, it was revealed than none other than 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' will be your new genie. Ranger in the Power Rangers movie, will take the role of Jasmine. It will be directed by Guy Ritchie who’s known as the master mind behind hits such as; Snatch, RocknRolla and most recently King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Release date is yet to be announced.
Zendaya and Spider-Man are dating They may just be friends in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but stars Tom Holland and Zendaya found romance in real life, a source tells PEOPLE magazine.
4
“They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man,” says the source. “They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.”
Adds an insider: “They’re both really ambitious and they challenge each other - but, most importantly, they make each other crack up. They seem to have a really similar sense of humor and love joking around together”. It’s not the first time this has happened. Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire began dating while shooting 2002’s Spider-Man but ended their relationship before shooting 2007’s Spider-Man 3. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield began dating after filming 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man. Stone and Garfield confirmed they’d split in 2015. Fingers crossed this web slinger and his cutie will make it work!

GOWEEKLY 29 2017 COVER STORY
and When I hear the word soul mate, I used to automatically link it with a significant other. But I’ve learned throughout the years that being a soul mate can simply mean that you are both connected on a deeper level. It can be anyone, your mother, your father, a sibling, a lover or a friend. That’s exactly what they are… soul mates. By: Miguel Gonzalez Perret-Gentil
Shalini (left) and Mrinalini Iyengar

Although they are 8 years apart, when you look at them, you might mistake them for twins. But they’re sisters. They think alike. They sputter words and thoughts at the same time. Positivity just scorches out, infecting those around them. They share a same vision, a same dream; being good to others and the nature around them. Contributing however they can to make this world a better home for every single living soul.
Where it all comes from Shalini and Mrinalini Iyengar were raised to be self-sufficient. Selfdevelopment was a skill that was practiced and encouraged on a daily basis. They were scared of failure. Perfection, or close to it was something they strived for. But isn’t life about falling down and getting back up? Learning from the challenges we face? So once they became older, they felt how parents might sometimes

overprotect their children, which is completely normal. As a parent you want the very best for your child, but by doing so, there is a small possibility of restricting the child’s growth. “We need to experience life through our own eyes. We need to realize that we are not our parents and that it is OK when we choose our own path” according to the sisters.
“With love and patience anything is possible, even the birth of your own Star Child”
New beginnings
Their baby, Star Child was born in 2014. It all started when Mrinalini (Mini) made the decision to drop out of college (in the States) and moved back home. She started baby sitting on a frequent basis. She saw the purity and wisdom that children carry within them. Which is something we all carry, not only children, but not everyone is able to show it. With children it’s just there! Loud and clear. To be able to detect it, and respect it, is something difficult in this world of chaos. This is what rekindled her passion, her thirst to draw again. First thing she did (which is now the cover of the book) was to draw a smiling child, with pink lips and green eyes. It’s the kind of innocence you can just feel right of the bat. She drew everything that she believed, children

discovers all things around her and how they are all connected. The sun rising in the morning, while the ducks gingerly swim about and discover a new day of their own. At night, the moon and stars beam their light upon earth making way for Star Child to sleep in peace the night away.
should have in life. She wanted to show them through her eyes what life was all about. Shalini was experiencing her own rebirth at the time. She was on a spiritual journey. She just completed her Masters degree and was at a crossroads. As life has it, everything happens when it’s supposed to happen. Just when she needed a sign of inspiration to make a decision about her next step in life, Mini sends her a picture of Star Child. Blown away by its magic, Shalini was overwhelmed with emotion and knew that this drawing, this child, had a purpose. She immediately knew that this was a sign that a Star Child of her own was on her way to earth. Her daughter Seraphim arrived in 2013. Seraphim’s birth confirmed that they had a story to share with the world. A story which hopefully allows us to realize the importance of exploring and creating a path of our own.
10
Star Child Together the sisters sat down and brought this book to life. Star Child takes you through a journey, of love, peace and acceptance in a simple format. The main character of the book (Star Child), wakes up and is curious to see a new day arrive. A world where our dreams become reality. She takes you along on her day as she
Upon completion of the book, they felt this obligation to share this story with others. They immediately donated books to under privileged children at various local schools. This is a story that in their humble opinion has the power to change us for the better. The book was made possible through crowd funding and donations by family and friends. They are currently working on translating Star Child into Papiamentu and Dutch editions as well. This just reaffirms that anything in life is possible as long as we come together and work towards a common goal. With love and patience anything is possible, even the birth of your own Star Child.

Must visit spots As promised here are just some of the many amazing spots that must be visited on our Island! Editor: Miguel Gonzalez Perret-Gentil Turtle spotting at Ascencion
You will know you are there when you reach a parking destination. Security guards should be there to tell you what direction you need to go to. If not, walk towards the beach, and take a right until you end up at the beginning of a cave like structure. Enter carefully and you will see a staircase that will lead you up. It’s steep, so be careful. Once at the top, take a left and walk towards the end. Some people choose to stay on the beach, but being on top makes it easier to have an overall view of the terrain. We don’t guarantee that you will spot a turtle, but nonetheless it’s a great hike into nature that you might not do on a daily basis!
12
Kabrietenberg This next ‘must visit spot’, must be approached carefully. This hike requires some good shoes, and plenty of water. We are talking about a hike to the top of Kabrietenberg! Kabrietenberg which is the Dutch word for 'Mountain of goats' is 78 meters high and is located at Caracasbaai. If you want to do the whole walk, you can park at the end of Caracasbaai, next to the last restaurant, or you can drive further and park at Fort Beekenburg. You can always enter the fort which is a beauty on its own. You can see the cannons that were used to defend the island back in the day. You can even see an old building which supplied water for

the hospital. If not, you can continue your hike towards the old Quarantine building where you will start your uphill hike to the top. Once at the top, all you need to do is; relax and enjoy the majestic view that this part of the island offers.

If you feel like doing something different on a sunny Sunday afternoon (or any other day of the week) try turtle spotting at ‘Miradó di Turtuga’ located at Landhuis Ascension. This trail is easily accessible. Before reaching Landhuis Ascencion, you will see a sign indicating the different trails that are available in this area. Follow the sign, hold on tight, you are in for a bumpy ride!
