Go Weekly

March 21 - April 19 A current or potential love relationship could hit a snag as you have a clash of wills. If either of you is stubborn, this could turn into an unpleasant power struggle. Try to work out a course of action that creates a win/win situation.

TAURUS

April 20 - May 20 Your dreams are important to you and right now you are frustrated because these dreams seem to be standing still. They may even be moving backward. Don't get down on yourself for this. Realize that this backward movement is part of the process.

GEMINI

Popular Libra

Clinton Moxam Born: September 30, 1995

FACTS - - - -

He appeared on season six of the dating series Are you the One? He’s a model and Instagram star. He was born in New York to a Jamaican single mother. He studied mass communications at Florida Atlantic University.

May 21 - June 20 You like to work toward a larger goal. Today marks the start of a period in which you feel like you are moving further away from that goal instead of towards it. Don't worry. The insight you gain through this process will help you in the long run.

CANCER

June 21 - July 22 Plans that you have been working on are at a standstill and you are wrestling with how to proceed. This is one of those times in which you need to relax and flow with the unexpected energy that comes your way.

LEO

July 23 - August 22 You live in a fantasy world and right now you are feeling betrayed by your fantasies. Your dreams are not taking you to the place that you want to go. Be patient. You need understand the past more clearly before you can move forward with the future.

VIRGO LIBRA

September 23 - October 22 Working late, Libra? What could be so important that it keeps you from paying attention to your family or partner? Probably nothing! Take a good, objective look at what you think must be done after working hours.

2

August 23 - September 22 Although you are used to surprises, you may be stunned by the events that occur today especially if you have been searching for that fabulous person recently. You could well be a victim of love at first sight.

SCORPIO

October 23 - November 21 People will do the strangest things for love. This will be especially evident today. If someone has been chasing you, and will not take no for answer, prepare for some very weird tactics.

SAGITTARIUS

November 22 - December 21 Are you having the best time dating right now? You should be! If not, you might need to make some changes. The details matter over the weekend, so pay attention to the little things.

CAPRICORN

December 22 - January 19 Someone is popping the bubble that you were living in. It seems that you have been traveling along in your fantasy world and enjoying the ride, but now someone exposes the true reality of the situation. It is time to re-evaluate your position.

"The details matter over the weekend, so pay attention to the little things." SAGITTARIUS -

AQUARIUS

January 20 - February 18 Before you move forward, you need to take a few steps backward. Only after you are able to evaluate the past will you be able to take your next step into the future with confidence.

PISCES

February 19 - March 20 This week you could run into an old friend and suddenly see him or her in a different light. A romantic, sensual attraction you never believed possible could suddenly seem overwhelming. Try to gauge if this person feels the same way.

Cardi Cat Tiger Woods

is BACK

Last Sunday we saw the greatest athlete of the 21st century having a fantastic comeback. Woods won his 80th PGA Tour after 5 years. “I’ve been sitting on 79 for about five years now, and to get 80 is a pretty damned good feeling,” said Woods. Erica Herman, his girlfriend, and manager of his Florida restaurant The Woods, congratulated him with a big smooch. Although the couple has been spotted since last September at the Presidents Cup, they haven’t made any comments about their relationship. Sources say Tiger Woods is happier than he’s been in years. After celebrating his big win in Atlanta, the couple jetted off to Paris, where he will play the Ryder Cup.

By now we all know about the physical fight there was between Cardi B and Nikki Minaj during a fashion week party two weeks ago. At the time Cardi B was wearing a beautiful off-the-runway design from Dolce & Gabbana’s fall 2018 collection. No hard feelings from the label’s side. She was invited to their fashion show at Milan Fashion Week. The rapper sat front row alongside Stevie Wonder and Liam Payne. She was wearing a tiger-striped long jacket over knee-high, cheetah-print boots — topped off with oversized leopard-print square sunglasses and a neck scarf.

A bre akup Selena Gomez is taking a break from social media again. Yes again! We believe more people should do this occasionally. Like Gomes commented in her post, social media gives a lot to us, but there are also negative comments that hurt people a lot. Just last month she reminded fans what Instagram is about, namely a highly curated selection of moments from someone’s life. To read these posts, go to her Instagram account @selenagomez and enjoy her happy moment post collection.

Juni Juliet brings back The Legends Juni Juliet, musical centipede. One of Curacao’s greatest musicians. Having accomplished a lot abroad, he has been back on the island for quite some time now and he hasn’t been quiet. If he’s not making music with Ataniro and Ir-Sais, you will find JJ with Randy and Ray at the best hot spots on the island. Since a few months Juni has been helming another project called Juni and the Legends. With a successful soft launch at Riffort Village in July, Juni and the Legends are gearing up to take Curacao by storm. We spoke to JJ about his journey into music, his accomplishments and his future plans. By: H. Nicholls

GOWEEKLY 39 2018 COVER STORY

Tell us about your musical journey? “At the age of 7 my older brother brought a mandolin home and I started experimenting on it playing songs I heard on the radio, that is how I taught myself how to play the instrument. Later on my other siblings and I formed a band called Tipico Juliet and we played at various TV shows, hotels and parties in Curacao and abroad. I started singing at the age of 11 and went solo at 14 when my brother went abroad to study. At the age of 17 I joined the band BES, but shortly after I moved to the Netherlands. I didn’t stay long because I was very homesick, but at the age of 23 I returned. From there I moved to Norway and lived for almost 20 years in Oslo. I played in Bulgaria, Hungary, Sweden and Japan to name a few.”

Who are your musical influences? “For sure Doble R (Rignald Recordino), Toro Colina and Walter Wout. These men formed me musically. As a singer I was influenced by Ced Ride, who taught me about stage presence, Mr. Saab, Ompi Stefania, Dennis Cecilia, Mafalda Miguel, Tony Sherman and the late George Willems.”

What is your greatest musical accomplishment till now and what would you like to achieve still? “In 1991 in Bulgaria I was awarded the most popular musician at a Festival held at Sunny Beach. What I still want to accomplish is an international hit on the charts.”

Tell us about Juni and the Legends. “I was thinking about this concept since November of last year. I wanted to go back to my roots and sing with my idols, so I approached Mr. Saab, Ñaño Rosario and Ompi Stefania to start this band with the blessing of Doble R. I borrowed the idea from David Foster, he also gathered his idols and friends and played many concerts. After the introduction party I organized at Riffort Village, I realized that people wanted more of this. So we are going to have a series of parties for the band. I want to also do the Bolero Legends soon with our local bolero artists like Mafalda Miguel, Dennis Cicilia and Rene Samson to name a few. I am trying to do this with every genre so this generation and others to come will know who these legends are.”

The next party of Juni and the Legends will be on October 7th from 5pm - 11pm at Hofi Popo Rojer. Tickets are available at Mensing's Caminada, Beep Beep, Tik Tak, 24Uur Uit De Muur and the 4th of July Snek for Nafl.30,-. Keep yourself up to date with every move Juni makes via his Facebook account.
