ARIES

March 21 - April 19 If you're single, you might long for a romantic partner these days. If you're married, children might be on your mind. Whatever your situation, and whatever it is you're searching for, look your best when encountering current or potential partners. You will probably get the response you want!

TAURUS

Popular Scorpio

Colin

Kaepernick Born: November 3, 1987

FUN FACTS - - -

Colin Kaepernick started protesting police brutality against African Americans on August 26, 2016 by sitting or kneeling during the national anthem He has been a free agent since opting out of his contract with the 49ers in early 2017 and for voicing his opinion in a peaceful manner No NFL team has signed him yet

SCORPIO

October 23 - November 21 Your idealistic nature tempts you to focus on utopic dreams. You feel this energy as the essence of 'possibility', and it will be a period of emotional optimism for you.

ETERNAL SUNSHINE Your creativity is flowing freely lately. You could channel this into creative work, or you could come up with some ingenious ways to advance your business interests. The next few days could find your mind in overdrive and working on whatever ideas you come up with. Write them down. You'll want to remember them all.

2

April 20 - May 20 The energy is unusually slow, causing you to drag and your productivity to suffer. There isn't much you can do about it. Prioritize your tasks so you accomplish what absolutely needs to be done.

GEMINI

May 21 - June 20 Someone you love dearly could provide inspiration for creative activity of some kind. You might write a song or poem about your friend, draw or paint a portrait, or cook a special meal. Don't hesitate out of shyness or embarrassment. Your friend will be touched.

CANCER

June 21 - July 22 Keep up the good work regarding your efforts at developing a new circle of friends, and a whole new set of interests. You will be given more of an opportunity to help out in whatever capacity feels good to you.

LEO

July 23 - August 22 Turning your attention to other matters will not make the difficult ones go away. You might as well face your obstacles head on. Be open to creating a friendly and cooperative dialogue at all times.

VIRGO

August 23 - September 22 Aspects are expanding your opportunities at work and paving the way for a raise, promotion, or both. Even on a bad day, you're pretty lucky. These days, money is coming in so fast and furious that you may need a new plan for saving and investing.

go_weekly

LIBRA

September 23 - October 22 Time will tell whether you are right or wrong, but for now, assume that you are right. Continue on with the faith that you are on the right track and that you are headed toward your true destiny. Confidence from others will help you at this time.

SAGITTARIUS

November 22 - December 21 Love is very subtle, gentle, and romantic these days. This is not your usual style, which tends to be more forthright and unmistakable in its expression. If you are looking for romance, don't come on too strongly; you need to project an aura of tantalizing mystery and if you don't give away all your secrets at once, you will be in good position to score.

"Prioritize your tasks"

TAURUS -

CAPRICORN

December 22 - January 19 Don't be surprised if you feel a powerful affection for someone you've met at work. This could be a friendly affection or it could be stronger than that. If the latter, it might not be a good idea to express this emotion openly. The feeling could pass as quickly as it came, or the person might be emotionally unavailable. Be discreet!

AQUARIUS

January 20 - February 18 There is an air of excitement about your romantic escapades these days. Even though you may have known your partner for some time, you feel as though you have just met and the evening is spread before you like some kind of inviting new adventure.

PISCES

February 19 - March 20 Love and passion may be on your mind. If you aren't currently involved, you might be attracted to someone you know through business, so a little caution is advised. Suggest a professional lunch or dinner and then see where it goes. You might not get what you want today, but you could create new potential for tomorrow!

More than 'Just' food Creativity is not attached to a certain artistic discipline. There are some of us that are creative with words while others excel in other aspects of life with their creativity. Creativity lives within all of us to some degree and Justin Niessen has it owing through his body. It itches to come out. Thankfully for his sake and ours, he expresses it best while holding a knife and carefully crafting a delicious dish. His restaurant concept is simple yet complex, just the way he likes it. for the NH hotels in Rotterdam. He dedicated his life to his career. Things were going well, he had a plan and he was executing it, but life once again threw him a curve ball.

Justin started his culinary journey at the age of 12 while still living at home in Curaçao. His housekeeper’s daughter was celebrating her 15th birthday with a traditional bash. He offered to cater the party for free. From that point on he knew that his life would be dictated by his creativity in the kitchen, but not just yet. Just like some other teenagers did, Justin took life for granted as well and partied hard until a tragedy changed his life. His father suddenly passed away in 2011, leaving a void in his heart. Yet this tragic event led to a positive change. "Something inside of me switched from that moment on. I wanted to make him proud, so I decided to stop partying. I pretty much partied 24/7 since moving to Holland in 2009, but dad’s absence made me realize that I had to change immediately".

Challenges keep you sharp He no longer took life for granted and decided to seize the day. He previously completed hotel school and was offered to run a new team at a location

"In 2015 I burned out and suffered a brain hemorrhage. I was only 25 and it scared me so much because this was the same thing my dad had passed away from. I was in the hospital for 4 weeks. The doctors could not figure out the cause of it. Till this day they don’t know". It took Justin about 6 months of rehabilitation to recover. This experience was just another lesson, on his long road to success. Nothing less, nothing more.

Master Chef 2016 Justin catered to numerous amount of parties and events since living in the Netherlands (2009). His friends motivated him to keep on going. So in 2016 he decided to participate in Holland’s televised Master Chef competition. "I remember it so vividly, there were a total of 1500 applica-

tions. One of the requirements was to introduce your own menu. I came up with cot fish accompanied by pancetta with a mushroom compote with a blue cheese cream sauce. After the first cut there were a 150 participants still in the running, I was one of them. The next challenge was

to cook from home and bring it over to the studio. I prepared a tuna dish with avocado cream accompanied by apples, with apple syrup cooked in soy sauce with a crumble of panko. It was such an adrenaline rush, so many competitors, but I knew I would make it". Justin was selected as one of the 50 participants on Master Chef. He made it to the last 16. This experience immediately opened an unexpected amount of doors. One of them transformed itself into an opportunity to become a co-host for a travel show called 'Ontdek Curaçao' (Discover Curaçao).

'Just' eat After catering for years, he noticed that the demand for his food was growing. He noticed how everyone

10

would crave his dishes and that’s where the idea came from to open his own place. "A lot of people kept mentioning how I should open my own eatery. So I started thinking about it more and more. It had to be the perfect location. It had to be in Rotterdam. This is the city that made me a man and gave me the opportunities I’ve had, along with the pains I’ve suffered, but I guess that is just how the cookie crumbles sometimes". The initial idea he had with his restaurant was to give food lovers something to look forward to with an open menu. There is no standardized menu. You can choose from seafood, a variety of meats or vegetarian dishes. "I never liked cooking the same thing every day, so I wanted to create something for the

chefs to have fun with, they have to like what they are doing. Each day we try to have something different. We try to play with a variety of flavors. Obviously my kitchen is influenced by Caribbean styles, but I mix and match ingredients as much as I can, to come up with something new on a daily basis. I want to create an experience, an explosion of flavors for every guest. I want them to feel the passion that I feel when I cook, that’s just it". Justin had to laugh when asked how the name came to be, "We had no name, we had to register the restaurant before opening and we were brainstorming in the car on our way over. We stopped and before we got off I was like, 'whatever, let’s just do something', let’s call it Just. It’s later that we realized that we chose a strong name from a marketing point of view, there is so much we can do with it. It’s playful it’s easy but at the same time it describes me, Justin". Just Restaurant opened it’s doors in August of 2017. The welcoming reception by the community of Rotterdam has been pleasantly unexpected to say the very least. This is just the beginning for Justin. A 'Yu di Kòrsou' who dared to dream big even when adversities clouded his judgment and changed his perspective on life. One thing always remained the same. His hunger to succeed in whatever he did, which grows every day just a little bit more.

It’s refreshing and most of us love it. It has existed for as long as I can remember; CocaCola. But did you know that you can use it for much more than just mixing it with your favorite alcoholic drink? Here are a few easy ways to use Coca-Cola differently.

SPICE UP YOUR LIFE

MORE THAN CURLS

Many chefs and foodies alike will say that if it tastes good, why not use it in cooking? Plenty of innovative chefs have used Coca-Cola in their kitchens and in a variety of recipes, from Coke chicken wings to Coke chocolate cake. It seems to go best with pork though, particularly as a glaze for baked ham.

Phosphoric acid in Coca Cola contracts the hair cuticles, which enhances the natural curls of your hair. So next time when you’re looking for an inexpensive hair curling strategy, just pop open a bottle of Coke and wash your hair with it.

THE BUG SLAYER

DILUTES BLOOD STAINS

Who doesn’t love Coca-Cola? Even bugs do, but did you know that it can actually destroy them? So spray the drink on ant hills and cockroaches in your cupboards and they will be out of your way!

Coca-cola is famous for being used for removal of the blood stains from clothes, furniture, carpet, walls and floor. It is also said that it is used as an important cleaning agent while cleaning a crime scene, although it is not known for sure.

GEEK ALERT GOWEEKLY 44 2017

THOR

VS

JUSTICE LEAGUE We sure can’t curb our enthusiasm with the upcoming super hero flicks! It’s Marvel’s God of Lightning (Thor) hitting the big screen on November 3rd, followed by DCU’s Justice League on November 17th. In light of these must see movies, here is a list of characters from both worlds that you might not know much about.

HEIMDALL Heimdall (Played by Idris Elba in the upcoming Thor movie) is the brother of the warrior Sif. He is the all-seeing and allhearing guardian sentry of Asgard who stands on the rainbow bridge Bifröst to watch for any attacks to Asgard. For ages, he stood as the guardian of Asgard, defending the city's gates from any intruders, and was one of the most trusted servants of Odin.

VALKYRIE An Asgardian by birth, Valkyrie, also known by her real name, Brunnhilde, was selected by Odin (Thor’s Father) to lead the Valkyrior. Valkyrie made her cinematic debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Thor: Ragnarok, where she will be played by actress Tessa Thompson. Thompson stated that Valkyrie is Marvel's first bisexual LGBT character.

MERA Mera is the former Queen of Dimension Aqua (Xebel), Queen of Atlantis, and wife of DC Comics superhero Aquaman. Mera also has a twin sister named Hila. American actress Amber Heard will portray Mera in the DC Extended Universe first in the upcoming liveaction film Justice League, directed by Zack Snyder, and will return in Aquaman, directed by James Wan. STEPPENWOLF Steppenwolf's main job is commander of Darkseid's Dog Calvary. He trained the dogs and men to work in Dark-seid's main army. His best warrior was Canis Major. When Canis Major had a son, Canis Minor, he tried to train the boy to fight. Steppenwolf will be played by Ciarán Hinds in the upcoming Justice League movie.
