It is our humble privilege to serve the people of God, here at the Christian House of Praise (CHOP), the Oak Grove Community and other surrounding communities. History THE BEGINNING
P
astor Whittley and First Lady Angela Whittley, along with their three sons, Dorian, Lorenzo, and Dominique, were members of Rock Temple COGIC in Clarksville, TN for seventeen years. During those seventeen years, fifteen of them were spent as members of leadership in the local, state, and national ministries. Pastor Whittley and his wife served faithfully where they were planted, growing and fulfilling God’s call on their lives.
Lady Allison, who gave them their blessing and Pastor and First Lady Whittley told them the new church name would be named Christian House of Praise of Middle Tennessee (MiT), also known as “CHOPMIT”.
On August 2, 2016 Pastor and First Lady Whittley set out to establish the ministry. Their first service was held at the Oak Grove Community Center and eight people were in attendance. The Oak Grove Community Center currently remains where services are Duty called and the military moved them to held. Fort Carson, Colorado where they also served in the eldership and as leaders at the Christian All the Glory belongs to God! This is just the House of Prayer in Colorado Springs, CO, under beginning. Christian House of Praise is trusting the dynamic leadership of Pastor Charles each day our numbers will grow as God adds Tedder and First Lady Allison Tedder. While in to the church those who are saved, desire to Colorado Springs they matured in God even be saved and are willing to grow up into Him the more. God spoke to both Pastor and in all things and go to “The Next Level”. First Lady Whittley individually, confirming on several occasions what they both knew years We currently have three services, Saturday prior, that God was calling them to begin the morning prayer at 9:00 am, Sunday morning ministry. God further instructed Pastor Whittley worship at 10:00 am and Tuesday Night that they would have to return to Clarksville, Teaching (TNT)/Bible Study at 6:30 pm. Let’s TN/Fort Campbell, KY to both retire from the go together to “The Next Level” in God and U.S. Army and begin the ministry. They shared in life! this great news with Pastor Charles and First

astor LT Whittley Jr. was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 9, 1969. He graduated Cairo High School, in Cairo, Illinois in 1987. On August 15, 1987 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served 29 years, retiring honorably as Brigade First Sergeant on September 1, 2016. Pastor Whittley is a licensed Ordained Elder and received Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age and rededicated his life to Christ on May 15, 1999. He was a member of Rock Temple COGIC where he served under the leadership of Bishop Jesse Gold seventeen years. He served well in the ministry ranks as a Deacon, licensed Minister, Elder, and Adjutant General to the local, state and national Bishops. In 2006-2007, he also served as Associate Pastor in Tikrit, Iraq . In September 2012, duty called and the military moved him and his family to Fort Carson, Colorado where he served in the eldership and as a ministry leader at the Christian House of Prayer in Colorado Springs, CO, under the dynamic leadership of Pastor Charles Tedder and First Lady Allison Tedder. God spoke to Pastor Whittley confirming on several occasions what He’d spoken to him years prior, that He was calling him to begin the ministry. God further instructed Pastor Whittley to return to Clarksville, TN/Fort Campbell, KY to both retire from the U.S. Army and begin the
ministry. He shared this great news with Pastor Charles and First Lady Allison, who gave their blessing. It was August 2, 2016 that Christian House of Praise of Middle Tennessee (MiT), also known as “CHOPMIT” was founded. He holds a Bachelors of Theology from the Williams, Clemons, Davis Bible Institute, and Sonship School of The Firstborn. Pastor Whittley is married to his lovely wife Angela Whittley, an anointed and honorable vessel of God. He has three sons Dorian, Lorenzo, and Dominique. He is a man who loves God with his whole heart, a man of prayer and of great faith, and truly has a servant’s heart. He loves and humbly serves the members of the local church congregation and community, encouraging all to “Let’s go together to “The Next Level” in God and in life

irst Lady, Angela Marie Thigpen Whittley, fondly referred to by her husband as “Lady Ann”, was born October 25, 1967. She was born and reared in New Orleans, Louisiana and is a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School, Class of 1985.
