Donald Leithland Campbell, known fondly to all as Danny, completed his earthly journey on the 25th of August, 2024. Born under the beautiful Jamaican sun on the 30th of August, 1954, Danny’s life reflected joy and light. His spirit radiated God’s love in all he did, and he touched the hearts of many with his warmth and grace.
Danny took his final breath in Miramar, Florida, where he returned to the loving arms of the Creator. His life was one of passion, warmth, and divine purpose, a flame that burned brightly until it was gently called home. Danny found sacred joy in the simple, yet profound, acts of cooking and fellowship, weaving them into the tapestry of life that God had ordained for him. Though his earthly presence has left us, his memory remains, as fragrant and lingering as the rich aromas of the feasts he so lovingly prepared—a true testament to a life lived in God’s blessing.
A renowned chef in his beloved Jamaica, Danny’s culinary skills were gifts from God that he shared generously. His hands crafted meals that not only nourished the body but also brought joy to the soul. From the kitchens of prestigious hotels, like the Sheraton and Pegasus, Danny’s creations were legendary, with dishes such as his curry goat and sweet and sour chicken becoming cherished favorites. His cooking was more than a profession; it was a ministry of hospitality, a reflection of God’s abundance, shared with all who crossed his path.
A man of lively spirit, Danny’s heart was ever open to the joys of camaraderie, a divine blessing that he freely shared. He had a Godgiven gift for making everyone feel welcome and cherished, whether you were an old friend or a new acquaintance. His zest for life, a spark of the Holy Spirit, flavored every conversation and every gathering, transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary blessings.
In 2013, Danny’s spiritual journey deepened when he was touched by the outreach ministry of Pentecostal Tabernacle - CARE INC. It was
through their loving witness that Danny accepted the call to give his life to the Lord. On Sunday, July 7, 2013, Danny was baptized in the name of Jesus and soon after received the gift of the Holy Ghost. From that day forward, he became a faithful member of Pentecostal Tabernacle, devoting himself to worship and joyfully inviting others to join him in the house of the Lord.
Farewell, dear Danny. Your life was filled with love, flavor, and unwavering faith. As you return to the embrace of the Almighty, may your soul find eternal rest. You shall forever remain in the hearts of those who knew you. Your memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same joy, love, and faith that you brought into this world. Until we meet again, may the peace of the Lord be with you always.
Danny leaves behind his beloved son Nakia Campbell, his sisters Marcia CampbellMuldrow and Sylvia Holness, and his brothers Luidel Campbell and Frank Harris. He is also survived by his nephews Kelsey Holness, Paul Holness, and Everett Beadle, as well as a host of nieces and nephews including his nieces Shannen Muldrow and Athena Hylton, who will all cherish his memory and carry forth his legacy of love and warmth.

Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what’s to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay… Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey’s quicker, For some the journey’s slow. And when the journey finally ends, We’ll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord.
