Hymns Trust and Obey
#590 1 When we walk with the Lord in the light of his word, what a glory he sheds on our way! While we do his good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey. Refrain Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. 2 Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, but his smile quickly drives it away; not a doubt nor a fear, not a sigh nor a tear, can abide while we trust and obey.
3 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, but our toil he doth richly repay; not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, but is blest if we trust and obey. 4 But we never can prove the delights of his love until all on the altar we lay; for the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows, are for them who will trust and obey. 5 Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet, or we’ll walk by his side in the way; what he says we will do, where he sends we will go; never fear, only trust and obey.
Hymns Until Then
#632 1 My heart can sing when I pause to remember, A heartache here is but a stepping stone. Along a trail, thats winding always upward, This troubled world, is not my final home. Refrain But until then, my heart will go on singing, Until then, with joy I’ll carry on, Until the day my eyes behold the city, Until the day God calls me home. 2 The things of earth will dim and lose their value, If we recall they’re borrowed for awhile; And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble, Remembered there, will only bring a smile.
When We All Get to Heaven
#633 1 Sing the wondrous love of Jesus; Sing his mercy and his grace. In the mansions bright and blessed He’ll prepare for us a place.
3 Let us then be true and faithful, Trusting, serving every day; Just one glimpse of him in glory Will the toils of life repay.
Refrain When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We’ll sing and shout the victory!
4 Onward to the prize before us! Soon his beauty we’ll behold; Soon the pearly gates will open; We shall tread the streets of gold.
2 While we walk the pilgrim pathway, Clouds will overspread the sky; But when traveling days are over, Not a shadow, not a sigh.

lifford Kidd was born on November 15, 1925 to Dodge and Agatha Kidd in Barnswood, St. Mary Jamaica. He was the 2nd of three children, being the only son, this created a sense of responsibility in him to share in the family’s farming business. He attended Mount Angus Primary School. Years following, he became self-employed, being a jack of all trades, such as a farmer and a bus driver just to name a few. His love of driving buses became his career, back in Jamaica he owned a bus called Love Bird where no “Kidd” was left behind. While driving this bus he picked up his own “love bird.” He continued this occupation until he migrated in 1987 to the state of Florida where he then married his love bird, Eugenie Gordon later that same year. Their love for the Lord had them to seek for a place of worship. They began to attend the Lauderhill Seventh Day Adventist church where Clifford served as a deacon. As a faithful church member, the Lord laid upon his heart to form a prayer band and the nursing home visitation group which still exist to this very day. Clifford loved to sing, you could hear his bass note ringing out on the Golden Age Choir. One unofficial title he had was the church greeter. He always had a hug and a kiss for everyone on his walk to his seat at the front of the sanctuary, where everyone could see his shiny bald head. Clifford continued serving faithfully until he was no longer physically able to. Clifford was a very loving, affectionate, caring husband and father, always giving of his very best! He was a man of order and principle, each morning his family had to wake up for 5am Family Devotion to start the day, no matter how tried and weary they were, but those long family devotions helped create a love for God and his word in his family. Clifford was very funny and could make his family laugh, on any given occasion. Some of his favorite sayings were “man on earth,” “Mi deh ya like sloopy.” And “Keep sweet.” He was also a giver, with such a given spirit his passion for farming reignited. It didn’t take much for him to farm. He took over the front yard with his calloo,
then when it became too much he bought land to continue his farming. He had a natural green thumb any seed he planted flourished and the blessings were bountiful. His family, neighbors and church family were recipients of that blessing. Clifford would not allow you to leave his presence without him offering you some of his produce from his “bush/farm.” Brother Kidd was always considerate of his church family. The price never increased even though the demands got greater. Clifford was a strong man who had a heart like no other. On February 20th 2013 Clifford aka “pops” survived a quadruple heart bypass surgery at the age of 88. His loving family nursed him back to health, this gave him a new vigor on life, up and about back to his loving, caring, active self. In May of this year his health started to decline but that never stopped his continuous love for God and his family. Throughout his illness you could always hear him quoting scriptures and singing numerous songs in worship to his creator until the very end. On the night of October 21st the Lord saw it fit to give him rest from his labor. He is survived by his wife Eugenie Kidd, his children Merlene, Norman, Arlene, Garth, Sonja, John, Haldean and Phillip. His sister Dulce and a host of grand, great grand, and great great grand children, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. Though he will be missed; we rejoice that Clifford is surely resting in the Lord. Sleep in Peace Pops.
To my dearest husband, God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering; he knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again; he saw the road was getting rough and the hill too hard to climb so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be still.” It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. Part of us went with you the day God called you home. Eugenie Kidd
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die. by Mary Elizabeth Frye
Tributes Tribute To My Dad
Words are not enough to express how I feel about my dad. His unconditional love has taught me how to love unconditionally. His smile, gently voice and loving care will long be remembered. If it was not for the teachings that he and mom instilled in me I would not have accepted the truths of the Adventist message. He is the one who brought the Adventist message to our family; and for that I am forever grateful. Today I cry not because I have no hope but because I will miss his lovely voice saying “hi my sweet girl” I’ll miss his warm embrace, his reassurance that everything will be ok and the prayers he always prayed for me. He will forever have a extra special place in my heart. So SIP my pops until then.... Ann (Arlene Augustine)
Grandpa’s Tribute My Grandfather was a kind hearted and loving person. His smile always lit up a room, and he had more will power than anyone could imagine. He would always want to help out around the house, whether it be groceries, cleaning, or chopping something in the kitchen. He loved his family and held them close to his heart. He would especially greet me with a loving smile, and I always cherished our moments together. I will hold the wonderful and precious memories of my grandpa in my heart. Delan

To my grandfather, a caring, big hearted, and understanding man. You were the only grandfather I grew up to know. Summer times when all the cousins were staying by the house, it use to be a joy waiting for you to come home from the farm. We would run outside to meet u and help you bring in your famous Small orange cooler. No matter how hungry you were, you would never finish your plate of food without offering everyone some of it. As time winded down in your life it was very tough to see a strong man like u get so weak in your recent state. Every morning and night I would take a peek in your room to see if you were still here hanging on, And you were. I can still hear U calling out to me as I get in home from work, with a smile on your face, As you called me.. “Man on Earth, touch mi nuh Mon!!” I’m going to miss you very much sir... Keep sweet, and I’ll see you when the sun comes up! DJ
Since migrating to the US, he has always been there for me and my family. He has celebrated every milestone with me and reminded me to keep trusting and pushing. Uncle you motivated me to be a better person and you will truly be missed. Love Mike, Janelle and the kids
Tribute from Aunt Cher We enter this world from the greatest unknown And God gives each spirit a form of its own And endows this form with a heart and a soul To spur man on to his ultimate goal And man is born to die and arise For beyond this world in beauty there lies The purpose of death which is but to gain Life everlasting in God’s great domain… And no one need make this journey alone For God has promised to take care of His own.
Tributes Pops I will try not to remember you with sadness, neither with tears, I will remember all the laughter, we’ve shared throughout the years. I know you were very contented and your life was worthwhile. You have made us laugh while passing along this way. When I am walking down the street you will always be on my mind. I promise that I wont be unhappy just because you are out of sight, your memories are with me and I will cherish them all my life. I truly thank God for you pops, the best father ever. You never treated us anyway different even thou we weren’t your biological children. No one would know unless we told them so. I promise that mom and Miss Patsy will be okay, I will keep my promise. Take you rest pops, you have fought a good fight and have finished the race. I will meet you in the great getting up morning. “Farewell, Farewell” Love Ms. Kelly your favorite girl who is always at your beckoning call even when you got lost.

The things that stand out the most between me and my grandpa are: When I was born my mom said he would burst in d room every morning without knocking, pick me up and off he went with me just to use his spit to straighten my nose every morning before he said anything to anyone. He loved me so much and was in control of everything to do with me. He even told my parents that if they need more kids they were to go and get them because I belonged to him in other words. As long as he was home, nobody could get a chance to hold me. That bond between us was never broken. During my last year in Primary School , we had lunch at a Cousin’s restaurant in Port Maria Monday to Friday. He would be there waiting for me most days. I truly loved and appreciated my Grandpa and I knew deep down he loved me too. He would take me on excursions and we had lots of fun together. I was really saddened and broken when he got sick and didn’t recognize me because of his sickness. Now he’s gone, I’m feeling lost and empty. You’re gone but not forgotten. My love for you will never die. May your soul rest in peace Grandpa. From Nadene Purkiss, granddaughter
Grandpa, Popsicle, Brother Kidd, To one of the most kindhearted, gentle, yet strongest man we know, (Yes “know” because this is only temporary) we will never forget you. From Prayer Band to Nursing Home Visitations, if you spent the weekend at the Kidd’s residence, you had no choice but to attend. A memory which I (Brittney) will never forget is having worship and singing, “Safely Through Another Week” every Friday evening right before sunset. That of course isn’t the only memory. Almost every morning grandpa would make sure grandma came to wake whoever was in the house for devotion at 5 a.m. no mater how late you went to bed the night prior. The Cameron’s as well as anyone reading this, should definitely take a page out of Grandpa’s book and at least make an effort to have an even better relationship with our Lord and Savior, so that on that great day we will all be caught up with grandpa to live forever in Glory. Sleep on Grandpa, sleep on. Love, The Cameron Family (DiJon, Brittney, and Kaylynn)

Tribute from Sabrina Popsicle I have a lot of memories from the 5am wake up to have devotion no matter how sleepy I was to the 6:30 ride to the bus stop as I go to school. Every day we would have a new conversation and every day I would learn so much more (even though I would make it seem like I wasn’t listening) but I just want to say thank you for your wisdom and your devotion and I will miss you but I will forever love you! Love your breno
